PEACHES AND PETALS FEB 2016 - info 1

Each box also includes an info card that lists and describes each item in the box.

PEACHES AND PETALS FEB 2016 - info 2

They also include a sneak peek at a spoiler item in every box. In the past, this sneak peek has always been a spoiler item, but it looks like they’re doing more of a theme spoiler for March?

PEACHES AND PETALS FEB 2016 - items 1

Sweet Spun Sugar Candle – 4 oz, value: ~$5

This candle smells exactly like you’d expect: very sweet and sugary, like cotton candy. It smells great, but it may be a little too sugary for my personal tastes!

PEACHES AND PETALS FEB 2016 - items 2

Slightly Melted Sugar Scrubs in Orange Creamsicle and Cotton Candy – value: $3.10 together

These smell great, and they seem like they’ll work nicely. They’re little sugar scrub cakes and you just rub them on your wet skin to exfoliate!

PEACHES AND PETALS FEB 2016 - items 3

Love Birds Salt & Pepper Shakers – value: $1

I know they’re still in the box in this photo, but these shakers are tiny. There’s 2 bird-shaped shakers in that box, and compare the size of that box to the chapstick! (photo of the shakers below)

Lip Smacker Girl Scout Coconut Caramel Stripes Lip Balm – value: $5

This chapstick smells amazing. Subscribers got either gloss or balm, and I’m glad I got the balm. I love Girl Scout cookies (and chapstick!) so I like this.

PEACHES AND PETALS FEB 2016 - items 4

I left the chapstick by them so you could compare the size of these shakers to it. They’re so small! I can’t see actually using these. I found them online being sold as wedding favors, so maybe that’s why they’re mini? They’re just so impractical.

PEACHES AND PETALS FEB 2016 - items 5

Cupcakes Canvas Print – value: $12?

This is adorable! I totally want to hang this in my kitchen. I can’t find this exact print online for sale, but I like it. On the info card, this isn’t listed but it says “sweet surprise” that varies from box to box. I don’t know if they were varying prints (although I feel like they’d say “art” or “canvas print” or something generic if that were the case), or completely different items.

PEACHES AND PETALS FEB 2016 - items 6

Love Themed Throw Pillow – value: $12?

Throw pillows were the spoiler item last month, and you could get one of 3 or 4 designs. I was hoping for one that was a geometric patterned heart, but this one is cute too! One thing I will say that I don’t like, though, is that I thought the fabric would be like linen when it’s actually more burlap-y in person.

Verdict: I’m pretty happy with this Peaches and Petals box. I think they’re doing better with their curation. I know their description on their website says “vintage-modern items,” but I think they’re catching on that a general “lifestyle” box is probably better received. The value adds up to about $38, but a lot of my value was based off of similar products I could find online or educated guesses.

This is one of the first boxes I ordered and FINALLY received today. Took forever. I wasn’t thrilled for the March box. An adult coloring book and colored pencils is not something I’m interested in. The mug and spoon were cute, but I’ve got a million mugs. The eye shadow stuff will be interesting to use and something I haven’t seen before. The surprise gift was ok. I don’t know, I guess after waiting so long, I expected something more. I’ve already cancelled.

I got heart shaped salad tongs which make sense for Feb box. However, I also got the box today the 26th so it seems cheap to send something that would be marked down to nothing. I was hoping I would have gotten more value. I liked the etsy soap but I’m canceling the box. Serendipity LLB is a better value and cuter stuff

The cupcake canvas is also a Target clearance markdown. Quite a while ago too ?

Oh, and I collect s & p shakers, so they work for me. Not everything has to be functional. Some things can just be collectible or for decoration only.

I’m happy with my box. Even though I don’t care for the pillow cover, it is a popular swap item, so that works for me. The shower mochi are actually from an Etsy shop. I’m sure that if the people who own the Etsy shop visit this page and see all the comments, they’ll be pleased to see that their items are being compared to Dollar Store items. :/

I have those little bird S&Ps! They are tiny and not so practical but I like to put them out when I entertain as a cute addition to the table.

I really like this box ! If anyone is willing to trade the canvas, pillow, or bathstuff, or maybe sell the box i would be interested!

Those birds are really cute. I remember my mom had a big collection of teeny tiny salt and pepper shakers – she would put them out as part of the setting when she set the table for a meal. So instead of having one or two big shakers to pass around the table, everyone got a personal set to use. As kids we loved it. My favorite set was two little ponies. My brother had a ketchup and a mustard bottle. Maybe these birds are just the beginning of your collection! 😉

Thanks for your honest reviews! Good customer service but they charge me early each month and then the boxes arrive sometimes 6-8 weeks later. The rep brought up billing and ship dates and had to admit my complaint was valid. She promised January they were revamping and getting in gear, but alas, they are still stuck in first, poking along. The $5 increase will start for me in March but this box is getting less valuable and interesting for me. I gave them a chance, and I think we will part ways. Fun concept, poor execution.

As good of a deal this is, after the first box i canceled. If anything it made me realize how much clutter I have and how it ads up quickly. Because i’ve swapped a lot, the idea of just swap it is less fun now, because i’m not iso as many items now.

I think a great name for this subscription would be “Box of Junk”. So glad I cancelled it. I thought maybe for a teenager? But then again a $20.00 item from Sephora (or wherever) would be so much better!
Sorry for the negativity but I had high hopes for this box too and was so disappointed.

This box brings dollar store and Target clearance to mind, kind of like a random gift bag full of things for a person you don’t know well who happens to be visiting over the holidays.
I don’t see the value in the items or the curation.

That candle is from Target I buy that same scent there all of the time they run a lot of sales on them making them three to four dollars

I got the heart shaped mini pan and the mini birds, no print. I do love the candle but not much else. I’m thinking the price increase is a good time to say goodbye. I’m really sorry too, I had high hopes for this box.

Is this a pillow or a pillow case?

No way does the Lip Smackers brand chapstick cost $5.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

It’s a pillow case. I found all four designs back when the spoiler was released. The website I found them on should be in the comments.

My box was missing the salt & pepper shakers – I emailed them and it took a few days for them to respond, but they apologized and shipped immediately. so +1 for customer service. 🙂

Also, my boyfriend made use of the whoopie pie cookbook for valentines day. YUM!

Also, very bummed they upped the price of this box from $15 to $20 month. I don’t know why but that small $5 change really seems a lot to me on this box.
Oh & ive gotten every box there had so far and this, by far, was the worst one price wise and curation wise. I’d have thought they’d step it up a bit with the price change.

Jennifer

Instead of the canvas print of the cupcake I got a whoopie pie cookbook.

rockin_on05

I would value the salt peppers more…I got a heart shaped pan as my mystery gift

Alyssa

I received a marshmallow cookbook instead of the print, so the items are what’s varying, not the print. Your print is super cute!

Crystal

I just don’t see paying 20$ for the items listed , they just scream dollar items to me.
Like 5$ for that lip smacker balm ? Really?
I’m pretty sure I seen that exact one at the dollar tree along with the Chapstick brand I bought some for stocking stuffers last year ?

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

It is mostly dollar store stuff I’m pretty sure. I got it for a couple of months and then cancelled because I had just seen some of the items at the dollar store. Even if the other items make up for it it still isn’t enough value for me take it this sub.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn

I completely agree! Every single box has been stuff from the Dollar Store, Walmart, and Target. Whoever is running this box is getting away with murder… Idk how people could subscribe to this… Unless they genuinely love getting junk and paying three times the amount for it.

This month is really cute, I would have loved this box!

I really like this box! I would use the little birds as just mini-statues on my desk at work. <3
