Hazelnut Crunch Bar by 3400 Phinney Chocolate Factory (2 oz.)- $3.85
OrangeGlad has sent out quite a lot of chocolate bars recently, and I’ve been pretty happy with their picks. This one from 3400 Phinney is made with milk chocolate and crunchy hazelnut bits. I really like hazelnuts, and this bar was delicious!
Rosemary & Sea Salt Shortbread from Two Moon Brooklyn (2.5 oz.)- $5?
Shortbread is another treat that pops up regularly in OrangeGlad boxes; however, I’ve never received such an interesting flavor before! I love snacks that blend sweet and salty flavors together, so this is right up my alley. The rosemary and salt add a deep savory flavor to the shortbread, and they nicely complement its sweetness.
Hard Crack Toffee Cookies (1.65 oz.)- $2.25
Hard Crack cookies have popped up in OrangeGlad boxes before. I remember receiving them fairly recently, but I can’t remember exactly when they were sent. Anyway, I enjoyed them the first time around, so I’m not at all disappointed to see them again.
They’re made with toffee and have a nice balance of sweet and salty. I think they’re delicious on their own, but OrangeGlad mentions that they’re also great with cheese!
Salted Pretzel and Red Velvet Candies from The Poisoned Apples (2 pieces) $4.67
How cute are these two-bite candies?!
OrangeGlad included two different flavors: red velvet and salted pretzel. Each one is a combination of shortbread, caramel, and chocolate. I love that they’re like mini candy bars!
Grand Marnier Caramels from La Petite Occasion- $5?
La Petite Occasion’s Grand Marnier Caramels are made with chocolate and real Grand Marnier.
They’re soft and rich, and I like that both the orange and chocolate flavors come through.
Verdict: This was a pretty solid OrangeGlad Sweet Box! Even though I’ve received them from OrangeGlad before, I’m a big fan of the Hard Crack Cookies. The chocolate bar was delicious, too, and I really enjoyed the Rosemary & Sea Salt Shortbread. According to my estimates, the retail cost of the items comes to just over $20. That exceeds the cost of the box (which isn’t always the case for OrangeGlad), so I’m pleased!
