Check out all our Gentleman’s Box reviews and the Men’s Subscription Box Directory!

The box itself is really cool looking!  Their website has other month’s box contents, and it looks like the value is recently consistently over $70.00.  If you’re curious about the contents of previous month’s boxes, I would recommend taking a peek at the slider on the bottom of their website.

One thing to note, and I’m assuming it is because I received a review box, is that I didn’t get the monthly edition of GQ that is usually included.  So that is an additional value that you won’t see in my review.

The Gentleman’s Box includes a small glossy pamphlet with all of the items you receive in the box detailed, as well as a profile of a current subscriber, and a few other short articles.  It is very well put together.

Dude Wipes – 2 count

These were thrown in as an extra for this month.  The Gentleman’s Box informational booklet says this about them: “The wipes can be used to clean up your face, hands, armpits and…other things (insert creativity here).  I can see these being great for using while traveling, since they’re TSA approved.  The scent isn’t over powering and is pretty neutral!

Urban Professor – La Camille Lapel Flower – $24.00

This lapel flower is made of faux leather fabric, and has a butterfly clutch pin back.  This is the first lapel flower we’ve received that isn’t a longer pin!  If the longer pin that shows isn’t your style, maybe Urban Professor lapel pins are up your alley.  The flower itself is about 2 inches across, and seems very well made.  The pin itself is a little on the short side, so it probably won’t go through many layers easily!

DeadSoxy Franklin Socks – $22.00

These socks are very high quality, and the brand promises that they won’t ride down during the day.  They’re also designed to never shrink or fade.  The top band is very tight and there are no pesky loose strings hanging out on the inside of the socks!  The inner band is printed with the brand’s name and #besavvy – which is a cool touch!  My husband found that these held up to the promises of not slipping, but we haven’t washed them yet to see if they shrink (I highly doubt they will – they seem like great socks!).  The fabric content is ultra poly, spandex, nylon, and lycra.  Since they’re all synthetic, I wonder how great they’ll be during the summer though?

My Suited Life Midnight Sleek Tie – $24.90

This is a slim, flat bottom, knit black tie.  It’s about 2 inches across and has a satiny strip along the middle part of the tie.  The website states that it is 100% cotton, but the tag on my tie says 100% polyester.  Either way, it’s a very nice tie.  Due to the width of the tie, and the thin knit fabric, this is probably going to be best for a schoolboy knot!  (Personal opinion, of course!)

Gentleman’s Box Silver Tie Bar – $15.00

This tie bar is a basic heavy weight silver tie bar.  We found it a bit difficult to get on the knit tie (I was nervous about pulling the fabric) because it’s pretty tight!  It’s a slide on tie bar, and it is about 2 inches wide, so it really fits perfectly on the knit tie once I got it on!  I think the combination is very sleek.

Verdict:  This box has a value of $86.00, plus the bonus add on of the Dude Wipes.  We really liked the curation of this box – the tie, tie bar, and lapel pin are all upgraded versions of basics that can be used in so many different ensembles.  Black is always a great color (what can I say, my own closet is FILLED to the brim with black), and the hot pink socks were a nice nod to February.  Since this box was delivered prior to Valentine’s Day, I would say these items will make getting dressed up easy!

What do you think about Gentleman’s Box?  We really enjoyed this shipment!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!
