OXFORD:

Oxford Shirt

Line of Trade

Picking out the perfect oxford shirt is tough, and finding the right intersection of quality, fit, and price is no easy task. That’s where we come in. For the last few months, we’ve been working to design a shirt that has consumed our time, taken a few sleepless nights, and been modeled by all the men in the office at Bespoke Post.

We went all in on the details, right down to the buttonholes (which are reinforced so they’re extra durable). The design is a clean, tailored fit, right between a slim and a standard, so it’s easy-going without losing its sleek style. It’s also garment washed for a softer, less starched feeling. For even more room across the shoulders and a wider range of motion for the arms, we’ve added a center box pleat. We kept up the sturdy construction with a double-layer placket and a hearty 16 SPI (stitches per inch). And to top it all off, we added rimmed mother-of-pearl buttons (that’s the good stuff) that are color coordinated to your shirt choice.

  • Fabric: 100% cotton, garment washed, mercerized finish, 172 gsm
  • Fit: Tailored fit (between a typical slim and standard). Check out the full size chart up top.
  • Care: Machine wash cold, hang dry or dry on low heat
  • Model is 6’1″ and wearing a size medium

Credit Card Multi-Tool, 2.75″ x 1.75″

Henley Brands

When you’re in a pinch, take a lesson from Bond (though slightly more low-tech) and always have the perfect gadget on hand with this 15-in-1 tool. This credit card-sized piece of metal is everything from a wrench to a bottle opener, and even has a small saw blade, for all those moments when you need a serrated edge. Keep this in your everyday carry so you can handle anything life might throw your way.

Uses:
  • Water compass
  • Saw blade
  • Can opener
  • Bottle opener
  • 4-size large wrench
  • Knife edge
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Ruler
  • Wingnut wrench
  • 2-size small wrench

“The Do-Over” Instant Stain Remover Pen, 10 ml

Tide x Bespoke Post

When you walk into a presentation or a first date with a coffee stain on your shirt, you lose points right off the bat. Keep this detergent pen in your bag for when you need a quick fix.

BUTLER:

Leather Valet Tray, Inner Dimensions: (L)7″ x (W)5.5″ x (H)1.75″

Line of Trade

When your everyday carry needs a resting spot, look for a stylish organizer to grace your desk. Each tray is constructed out of one very handsome piece of leather, and produced in the very American state of Minnesota. Finished with brass studs, this place to rest your keys is just as uniquely you as the place you rest your head.

The structure of the tray is made from sturdy steer leather and is stamped by Line of Trade. With a rich, dark color, this immediately elevates anyone’s apartment decor. As it’s used, it will gain a worn-in patina, making it clear that it’s been well-loved.

Leather Key Keeper, 3.75″ x 1.5″

Line of Trade

The sleek line of your pants is worth a lot of style points, so when you have a bulky key ring, you’re losing respect quickly. Get all your keys together in one keeper and slide them easily into your pocket. No more dealing with scratched up phones or digging through your bag for lost keys. Made out of leather from S.B. Foot Tanning in Red Wing, MN with a capacity of up to four standard-sized keys, you can trust that this will help you open a lot of doors.

Solid Cologne, .4 oz

Cascade Sunset or Rainier Morning

Line of Trade

Don’t settle for the same spray cologne your dad always used. Try something that fits your lifestyle, in both scent and structure. With a more subtle scent than spray, this is great to keep on your dresser or in your carry-on bag for an easier TSA screening. Add a little bit to each of your pulse points and let the different notes, which we carefully created with the scent masters at Joya, develop as the day goes on. It’s great for after an early morning workout or when you’re on a business trip. Never underestimate the power of smelling awesome.

Cascade Sunset: Notes of cedar, amber, musk, tobacco leaves, and Tuscan leather.

Rainier Morning: Notes of cypress, juniper, mulling spices, and saffron.

Waterproof Matches, Four Boxes

UST Brands

Make sure to always have a box of matches on hand. You never know when you may need to start a campfire or sterilize a set of tweezers. Whether your bag gets soaked in the rain or soaks up spilled coffee, these will strike and light just the same. Keep a few at home and bring one on the go, just in case you need it while you’re out and about.

PACK:

Miller Backpack, Volume: 16 L, (H)18″ x (W)14″ x (D)5″

Jack & Mulligan

When you’re looking to carry around everything from workout clothes to your work computer, stash it in a sleek pack that keeps its silhouette, no matter how much goes in it. And trust us, we’ve filled it to the brim. It holds 16 liters, which is the equivalent of a weekend’s worth of clothes, a pair of sneakers, and your 15″ laptop.

The bag is named for the American author Henry Miller, a sharp dresser and a progressive writer who pioneered the fictional first-person autobiographical style of writing. Just like Miller, this bag is strong. Made with duck canvas (an incredibly sturdy fabric that’s much more tightly woven than its plain counterpart), leather accents, and cotton webbing straps, there’s no detail overlooked. Made in the USA, the construction is ready to take on anything from a quick walk to a long weekend away.

HB Graphite Pencils, Set of Two

Palomino

Constructed from incense cedar and graphite, these are a re-imagined version of an original design pioneered by the company. They set out to create a more distinctive design, one that would help artists and writers immediately identify the graphite hardness by the marking on the end. Made in Japan by an American company, this implement is an HB grade, roughly equivalent to a #2. There are a lot of pencils to choose from when you’re sketching your masterpiece, so don’t put down your ideas with just anything.

And Bespoke Post brought back two popular boxes:

HONED:

(Check out our review of the Honed Bespoke Post box)

8″ Chef’s Knife

Ludwig Schiff

This is your kitchen’s new best friend. The eight-inch chef’s style knife is the ideal one-size-fits-all addition to your culinary arsenal, since it’s easy to handle and perfect for almost any kind of cut. Slice vegetables, trim meat, chop herbs, or tackle nearly anything else.

This one’s made from high-carbon, ice-tempered stainless steel from Sweden, which gets hand-crafted by old-school knife makers in Solingen, Germany – home to centuries of top-quality cutlery creation. The blade starts off as a raw steel billet, which then gets hand-tempered and ground to just the right shape and balance with a full tang and razor-sharp edge. The handle is made of POM, a thermoplastic created for high-performance stability and stiffness. After you’re done slicing, make sure to hand wash both the blade and the handle with a mild detergent and dry thoroughly and carefully to keep it in peak condition. These knives are so good that word-of-mouth is the only publicity Ludwig Schiff has ever needed in the 60 years they’ve been in the business.

They’ve been the knives of choice at top-tier restaurants and kitchens the world over (including the White House), and of expert chefs like Julia Child and Anthony Bourdain. The sturdy yet sharp build, detail-oriented craftsmanship, and unbeatable price have made them an under-the-radar favorite that easily beat out more expensive options. Simply put: it’s the best knife you’ve never heard of.

Accoutrements

To help round out your culinary skills, we’ve also packed in a blade saver to keep your knife in good shape even when it’s loose in the drawer, and a chef’s towel for wiping down counters, drying your knife, or using as a makeshift pot holder like the pros do.

AGED:

(Check out our review of the Aged Bespoke Post box!)

Cocktail Aging Kit

Bespoke Post

Straight from the craftsmen at Black Swan Cooperage, this pair of charred honeycomb white oak barrel staves makes every flavor in your cocktail just a little smoother. Simply place one of your staves into the 375 ml vessel along with the pour of your choice, wait 8–10 days, and let the magic happen. Each stave can be used 4–6 times, with each subsequent use giving you a softer and subtler finish than the last.

There are two different approaches you can take:

  1. Use an unaged liquor like gin, vodka, or white rum in your kit. Once it’s done aging, you can either sip it straight, or mix it into a cocktail to lend a warm, oaky presence.
  2. Mix a spirit-forward cocktail – like a Manhattan, Negroni, or Martini – then age the mixture to imbue the whole thing with a woodsy flavor. Just don’t use any recipes that contain ingredients that could spoil, like eggs or juice.

Once you’ve done the hard part (waiting), pour out your creation through the included cheesecloth strainer and sip away.

“Cupa-Rocks” Cocktail Tumblers, Set of Two

Sempli

A standard rocks glass is a strong way to sip your booze, but sometimes you want something a bit more unique. Sempli’s version rolls with the punches, with a unique swirling design that’s hand-blown from lead-free Italian crystal. Use it to sip on wine, whiskey, cognac, cocktails – basically, just about anything. Because the way you serve your Old Fashioned doesn’t have to be so old fashioned.

  1. I opted out of this month’s box and received this message today from Bespoke Post:
    Hi Helen,
You opted out of February’s box, but we had some bonus winter cheer we wanted to send your way.
Heard of the Black Box? It’s a mystery box of enviable goods worth over $45. These can’t be bought in the store or on their own, but we’ve reserved one for you in your Club Shipment – simply add $45 (boxes or products) by February 5th and we’ll automatically send the Black Box your way, free of charge.
    Cheers,
    The Bespoke Post Team

Does anyone know whether this is the same Black Box offered in December? The contents, I mean!

    • I couldn’t say for sure but I would imagine the Black Box has the same contents as offered in December. It would be neat if they switched it up, though. However, I personally would still probably skip this month.
