Shirt Inspired by See How They Run by Ally Carter – Value $27.50

Each month will include an exclusive tee design from Appraising Pages just for The Bookish Box subscribers. I like the fit and fabric weight of this tee (60% cotton, 40% Polyester). I went with the women’s fitted tee sizing, but they also have unisex tee sizing.

Weeabows Bowtie – Value $12

I don’t think I can pull off the look of wearing this in my hair – but it is cute! Check out their Instagram page to see these styled.

From the Page 221B Baker Street Candle Tin – Value $3

I have a book-inspired candle collection now thanks to subscription boxes! This one smells good so it is a welcome addition!

Appraising Pages Door Hanger – Value $1?

Happy Heart Hello Nancy Drew Inspired Magnetic Bookmark – Value $2

I didn’t realize this was a Nancy Drew bookmark until I looked at the info card, but now I see that she’s carrying a book that says “Clues.” I guess reading Nancy Drew in my childhood did not result in proper detective skills later in life! (Super cute bookmark, though!)

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $46. I wouldn’t say this is a high-value box, but I think this is such a thoughtfully put together box, and I would recommend it as a great gift subscription for a book lover.

What do you think of the January The Bookish Box?

  1. This is one of my favorite boxes. There are a lot of subscriptions that include books, but I love that this one doesn’t. The inclusion of bookish items is amazing. Their curation is wonderful. My favorite box from them so far has been their October 2015 box. That was spot on and my favorite item from any box has been The Shining bracelet from Authored Adornments that was in the Oct. box.

  2. If anyone doesn’t love their box this month, I might be interested in buying it off of you! (I can’t do crew necks, so don’t subscribe, but this month’s looks a bit more like a scoop?)

    • My shirt is a v neck and I’m putting it up for swap!

  3. I’m always astonished when I see the items in this box – no books! I’d like to see at least a paperback book for almost $35, I don’t know how they get away with it.

    • Well, that’s why it’s called “book(ish) box”! All the fun of being a booklover, but without the random book. I would love this sub, but I am not a t-shirt person.
