Fancy Fortune Cookies Gourmet Fortune Cookies – 3 cookies, value: $2.22 total
What a fun treat! My husband and I really enjoyed these. The far left cookie was a normal fortune cookie but chocolate covered, the middle was red velvet, and the right one was lemon, I think? They were all tasty.
These were the fortunes! I like “the future is not googleable,” but the last one is, uh, a little concerning! Haha.
Village Tea Company Loose Leaf Teasers in Cherry Me Bloom Roobios with Acai – 9 grams, value: $3.25
Village Tea Company Loose Leaf Teasers in Gentle Organic Lemon Ginger Green Tea – 9 grams, value: $3.25
Village Tea Company Loose Leaf Teasers in Sweet Grace Vanilla Roobios – 9 grams, value: $3.25
The packaging for these tea “teasers” is great, and it’s recycled. They’re so cute, and I like that they’re samples – I often can’t get through a whole tin of new tea before getting bored and putting it in the back of the cupboard for a while.
Here’s what the tea inside looks like.
Village Tea Company Mobile Tea Pot – value: $24.99
I love getting accessories like this in sub boxes. This “mobile tea pot” is a double-walled water bottle that has a tea infuser mesh top. You put the tea inside the glass, then pour hot water in and put the mesh infuser bit on top. Then, once it’s steeped, you pour it into your mug and enjoy leaf-free! Or, if you’re like me and you often just leave the tea/tea bag in, you can just drink from this and the mesh will strain the leaves from what you sip. This has a nice heavy feel to it, too, so I like the quality.
Here’s each of the tea pot’s pieces so you can better see what I’m talking about.
Verdict: The value for this month’s Tea Box Express adds up to $37, which is a good value for this box, so I’m happy – especially because I like everything in the box. I think that this box tends to be more about curation and discovery than a huge value, so if you’re considering this sub, just keep that in mind.
