Each one of the shipments come with a patch and a pin placed in the inner lid. This month’s theme was ‘The Resistance’, and we received a Poe Dameron pin and a BB-8 patch!

The Force Awakens Resistance Shirt – Value $10?

This month’s shirt features our new favorite Resistance fighters front and center! Just seeing this makes me want to go see the movie again! I can’t wait until I own a copy!

Flocked Chewbacca – Current Value $39

Liz told me that we’d be receiving a Flocked Chewbacca, and I got overly excited and had to (poorly) explain what being ‘flocked’ was. You might be able to tell in the photos, but the pop is fuzzy!

Here’s a better shot of the flocking – I love this POP!

C-3PO Mug – Value $10-15?

Other POP mugs seem to come in around $10-15, so that’s what I’m valuing this at. Like the Guardians mug, this is a wide mouth mug, great for hot chocolate, which I can now vouch for!

Here’s a shot out of the box. I love the red handle – I’m assuming it’s a callout to C-3PO in The Force Awakens, who has one red arm. Or, a convenient coincidence.

Pin and Patch

Here’s a close up of the pin and patch that are on the lid. I’ll take anything BB-8 right now.

Verdict: I look forward to these exclusive Funko boxes! While they’re bi-monthly shipments, there are now 3 variations, so you can combine the Star Wars, Marvel, and D.C. boxes and have a monthly delivery of exclusive Funko goodness! I’m already excited for the next Star Wars box!

What did you think of the Smuggler’s Bounty ‘Resistance’ box? Are you as excited as I am for the next theme, ‘Cantina’???

  1. So apparently there’s at least 3 different colors for the tees…? I see you got grey, I got black, and I saw an indigo one as well.

  2. Frustrated and hoping you may be able to help? Due to incorrect zip code, our package was sent back to Smugglers Bounty.UPS can’t help because it was turned over to USPS.
I tried to email Smuggler’s Bounty, and got a reply that “they can’t help because they don’t do international shipping” (I live in MA, so I’m guessing they don’t read their emails and just send back automated replies………..)
There is no phone number for them, any suggestions? My son was so excited to receive it.

  3. I don’t know how I overlooked this subscription box. Would love to get my hands on the January box if anyone has one up for trading. Definitely going to start a subscription for March.

    • I have an extra of both Star Wars boxes so far – I LOVE Star Wars. Haven’t listed either of them because not sure I want to swap tbh…lol It would have to be for something(s) really good! I would be more than happy to look at anyone’s swap list if you’re interested though 🙂

      • Thanks so much but I was able to order a past crate on their site when I subscribed. I was shocked they offered it but extremely happy!

  4. Maybe it’s because I’m a Sith Lord on the down low, but I much preferred the first box… Would give my right arm for that red stripe tie fighter chaser! 😉

  5. Eric, do you have any cool suggestions or ideas I can steal on how you use these patches? I want to display them but don’t really know how (except to sew them on a shirt or something & that seems boring!).

    • Hmmm…If you’re displaying all the exclusive POPs you’ll be getting from this box, it could make it a cool background once you get a bunch of them together!

  6. I’m not a fan of how yellow the mug is, it should be a little more gold

    • I agree! I’m not loving the mug color, either.

  7. Flocked Chewbacca? omg. Best Funko of all time. Cool mug, awesome shirt. Maybe best box ever?

    • Definitely a tough call. We did get two exclusive POPs in the first Smuggler’s Bounty. But, Flocked Chewy is though to beat. I have very high hopes for Cantina! So many POP options!
