Scentbird includes a twist up perfume atomizer with your first shipment. You can order additional atomizers on their website for an additional fee. You're supposed to pull each glass vial out of the atomizer to replace it when desired!
February's cologne of the month is Boss Bottled Night. Scentbird describes the fragrance as an aromatic fragrance which abounds in intense and masculine woody accords. It opens with lavender and birch tree aromas, develops with a heart of African violet. Distinctive and seductive, perfect to make a lasting memory. (Sounds like they picked a good one for Valentine's Day!)
Scentbird has also introduced a new a la carte service. You can choose any cologne you want, with each spray being just $16.95 plus shipping (shipping is free if you order 3 or more sprays). The cases are sold separately.
This month, I chose Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue for men. Somewhere in the recesses of my mind I thought I remembered smelling it and loving it - so I chose it for my husband this shipment. This cologne is a lighter scent, which I love - it is very fresh, and almost summery. It has notes of mandarin, rosemary, grapefruit peel, musk, etc.
When I got my shipment I sprayed it on my wrist and told my husband to smell it. He smelled it (and having never seen/smelled this cologne before) said "hmm, smells blue." So apparently Dolce & Gabbana actually make their cologne smell like the name as well. Or something to that effect.
Verdict: This is my second month with Scentbird, and I LOVED this month's cologne! The atomizer is great quality, and I can even get the refill bottles to spray with a little bit of effort. I think Scentbird is a genius way to try out new colognes/perfumes. Sometimes I need a bit more than just a spritz at the store to see if I like/hate a new scent. If you're in the market for new perfume - I highly recommend trying Scentbird! Even if you just like to switch it up a bit, and don't want to invest in a full sized cologne/perfume - Scentbird is the perfect solution.
