Included in the box were a few cards. One had the ingredients list for the custom treats (see below) and another was a standard information card.
Starbarks Frenchie Roast Latte Plush Toy with Squeaker – Value $14.99
This is a cute inclusion and fits nicely with the custom donuts. It was just large enough for me to give to Nyx (with supervision).
Carob and Yogurt Frosted Donuts – Value $8
These are adorable. Nyx can’t have them because of the grain but I am sure my parents’ dogs will be thrilled. (This box does offer customization. I asked if I could review one box for dogs without dietary restrictions so MSA readers could see the breadth of the offerings. Future boxes will be customized to Nyx’s needs.) Also, please note that these were packaged in plastic but it was reflective so I removed it for the photos.
Max & Ruffy’s 24 Carob Gold Strawberry and Carob Mini Bites – Value $8.99
These are organic and made in the USA and the only ingredients are brown rice flour, strawberry, carob bean, coconut oil, and maca.
I couldn’t pick just one picture of Nyx for this box. I liked both of these! As you can see, she had fun with the toy. As you might expect, it didn’t last an incredibly long time…
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $32 for the January 2016 Petite Fours box. That’s higher than the cost of the box plus shipping and even a little higher than what’s listed on their information card, so I’m happy with the value. I like the customization options (you can exclude specific proteins, grains, etc., when you sign up), as well.
What do you think of the January 2016 Petite Fours box? Do you subscribe to any dog or cat boxes?
