Golden Tote $49 Tote Review – January 2016

If you aren’t familiar with Golden Tote, here’s a really quick intro: Every month you get to pick out 1-2 pieces, and they surprise you with the rest. (The surprise items are completely different from the pieces you pick from).

(They used a December tote for my $49 tote this month, just FYI.)

FYI – This is not a typical subscription, each month they release a new collection and you can decide whether or not you want to buy it. For returns it’s an all-or-nothing deal. You can return the entire tote for a refund, but you can’t return individual pieces.

Vida Clothing Pinstripe Button Down – value: $40

(65% cotton, 35% nylon; hand wash cold and hang/line dry)

I’m pleasantly surprised with this top! I ordered up a size for the sake of the bust fitting, and it works out. There’s darting in the back to make the silhouette flattering, too. (I’d style this top a little differently when I actually wear it out, by the way.)

Lumiere Sweater Tunic – value: $50?

(100% acrylic; machine wash cold flipped inside out, hang dry)

I like this a lot! I can see this with some leggings and being a nice comfy outfit.

Verdict: I think $25 for both these pieces is a good deal. I’m happy with my $49 tote this month, and I’m excited about the button-down especially!
