Cat Lady Box is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)!  The Cat Lady Box has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc.  The Crazy Cat Lady Box contains everything from the Cat Lady Box plus a few items just for cats.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Included was an information card with custom artwork on the other side as well as a holiday greeting.  As an aside, it is hard enough to get your cats to wear costumes and pose for photos, and I am in awe of anyone who can get THREE cats to line up like that.

Crazy Cat Lady Pouch by Zana – Value $20

I’m taking the value from the information card.  Zana is a mother-daughter team based in South Africa and the pouch is hand-sewn and 100% cotton.  I have a lot of makeup bags (like, a LOT) of them, but none with cats on them!  (Link is to the Zana Etsy shop.)

Black Cat Glass Necklace – Value $49.99

This is a custom piece so I have to take the value from the information card.  This is hand-poured glass and the chain is hand-worked sterling silver.  This is totally my style and I will wear it often.

Cat Lady Magnet – Value $3.99

This wasn’t listed on the information card.  I got one of these in a past box too.  I think I will pass this one on to another cat lady since the original one I got still looks pretty good.

Cat-Shaped Paper Clip Set – Value $7

This is another exclusive item.  I love these.  But I can’t take them to work and use them (where I would typically use paperclips) because no one would appreciate them the way I do.  I sort of want to use them in a craft project.

Abominable Snowman Catnip Monster by Loopies – Value $5.99

Catnip toys are always hits around here.   This is currently MIA in the bedroom thanks to kitties.

The Original Crinkleball by CanCor – Value $1.99

Mr. Kitty is on an appetite stimulant every three days.  On the days he has the pill, he starts chewing on toys.  This is the perfect texture for those days based on his past preferences.

And now for the gratuitous cat photos.  Note: My cats were not really in the mood for photos when I tried to take them this time, but I did what I could!

Madison with the Abominable Snowman.  Once again I remember how difficult it is to take photos of black cats!

Sneaky pouncing on the crinkle ball.

This is the tail end of a little slap fight over the crinkle ball.

Madison and Mr. Kitty inspecting the crinkle ball.

Verdict: I calculated a value of almost $89 for the December 2015 (Crazy) Cat Lady Box.  Granted, that could be somewhat inflated due to the number of exclusive and custom items in the box.  Even so, it is a pretty good value compared to the cost of the subscription and, speaking as a cat lady myself, I think a subscription could be a great gift for cat ladies (or a treat for yourself)!

My other comment never showed up for some reason, but I love reading the cat box reviews ( and the dog ones too) and seeing the pics of everyone 🙂 – glad you’re reviewing cat boxes now too Ragan!

My cat absolutely loves that “crinkleball” toy! Its the only toy he will even play with. And they’re almost impossible to find in stores where I live anyways, I had to order them online. He’ll actually “fetch” the ball like a dog would and bring it to me to throw again and again… he just gets so excited anytime he hears the little crinkle noise from it when I pick it up. It’ll seriously wake him up even if he’s on the other side of the house.

What a awesome box! I don’t have cats any more. Love them but my boyfriend is allergic and we agreed no more cats once mine passed on. So I really enjoyed this review and the cat pictures.

I’m probably in the minority, but I probably would have gotten a new boyfriend haha #crazycatlady

You are not in the minority! Actually, you will sometimes see a masculine hand/arm in the pet box photos. My fiance helps out with the toy photo shoots. Monkey has “adopted” my fiance and tries to sit with him at every available opportunity.

Not crazy. My younger daughter stopped dating a guy because her cat (Ziggy) didn’t like him. Ziggy grooms her new boyfriend’s beard, so we figure he must be okay.

Ragan

I’m highly allergic. I take Zyrtec every day and let them sleep on my pillow next to my face…

I am so tempted to get this for my younger daughter, who’s the mother of one of my grand-kitties, Ziggy. Of course, then I’d also have to get one for myself and my other daughter who’s the mother of my other grand-kitty, Lady Lumpkin.

I love that one of your cats is named Madison.

Ragan

It’s a very long story as to why, but I named him after my brother (it’s an old family name — and it wasn’t originally a girl’s name!).

I forgot to mention, but Monkey got his cone of shame off. (See last month’s MeowBox review.) He is all better now.

Love the cat pics. Mine always fight over toys too, even though they have about a million.

I love the right cat’s look on the third cat photo – so annoyed!

The best part of the monthly review is the Gratuitous Cat Photos. Paws down.

I love those cat paperclips! This box is so adorable!

I totally read the pet box reviews for the pictures of Nyx and the cats. Sneaky is such a beauty, and Rotts are the cutest dogs to my tastes but I can’t own one as I’m a big goofball with dogs (they take one look at me and know they’re in charge).
