Treats Subscription Box Review December 2015 - 2

Treats ships their boxes wrapped in kraft paper which is fun to open!  The box is a heavy weight, white box.  It wouldn’t be easy to crush this one during shipping!  Inside, the snacks are wrapped with tissue paper with a sticker holding it closed and a cute note card on top. It amazes me every month how much they pack into this box!

This month, the snacks are from Germany.  There was no information card this month, so I had to hunt them down on their website.  I thought it was quite fun that the treats are from Germany since I was there earlier this week!

Kinder Bueno Candy Bar - $1.66

These are amazing - I've loved them for years! I make it a point to buy them every time I find them in the states.  I just had one last week in Ireland, so I am going to save this one for a friend that will love it!  The texture and flavor of these candy bars is unlike anything I've found here.  The inside is hazelnut creme, then a wafer covered in chocolate.  I also love that each bar (there are two) is individually wrapped!

Kinder Chocolate Bars - $2.99

These are also awesome.  Each pack comes with 8 bars.  They're small milk chocolate bars, filled with a creamy milk filling.

Milka Coco Cows - $1.29

I am really excited about these!  Milka chocolate is rumored to be amazing, but I've only had their hot chocolate.  I have had my fill of junk food today (it's Christmas, and that's all I'm eating!), so I am saving it for later.  From what I've found on Treats website, it's a chocolate covered biscuit shaped like a cow.  I feel like a cow currently so... I'm thinking this is perfect for me.

Hanuta by Ferrero - $1.12

I am also saving this one for later.  This is a hazelnut layered wafer that looks delicious!

Haribo Smurf Gummies - $1.69

These gummies are hard gummies - not soft ones.  They're raspberry flavored and they're adorable!

Lorenz Sour Cream Flavored PomSticks - $1.99

I wasn't expecting much from these.  But I LOVE them.  They're very thin, fry shaped chips that taste like sour cream and onion.  I could down this bag quickly, and it's packed full.

Treats Subscription Box Review December 2015 - 6

Lorenz Nic Nacs - $5.72

These are also delicious.  My sister and sister-in-law think they are similar in texture and taste to Corn Nuts.  They're very peanutty, and very crunchy!

Treats Subscription Box Review December 2015 - 7

Lorenz Paprika CrunChips - $3.69

I've never had paprika chips before, but they're very good!  Not spicy at all, and just enough flavor.  I am now dreaming of a smoked paprika chip!  That would be delicious.

The Verdict:  I really enjoyed this box, particularly because I was just in Germany!  It was fun to try everything, and everything I've tried was delicious.  The value of this box is about $18.86.  The value this month is a little lower than I'm used to for this box.  It did seem when I was opening it that there were less items as well.  I am still happy with this box, but I hope this isn't a trend!  I also really think that the added information card last month was nice, and wish that they would continue with that.  We'll see what next month brings!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Did the price of the subscription box go up? When I click on the link, the standard pack is listed as $13.95 a month.

I am thinking that might be the month to month price but as you sign up for more months at a time, the bigger the discount…. That’s just a theory…. One of the things to remember with this box is that the price includes priority shipping, which can be quite an expensive extra with some subscriptions.

I am crazy in love with this snack subscription box!! After this Germany box, I ended up ordering a bag of the mini Hanutas. Also ordered a small bulk supply of the Happy Hippos. I had never tried them before one was added as an extra treat with my first box a few months ago and now I crave them. A lot is put into this box and the customer service is top notch! LOVE the postcard of the featured country and how much is packed into each box…not only that, some of the product sizes have really impressed me… Super amazing box that I always find myself counting the days until the next one…..

It seems you were shorted the information card as my box did have one. As for this months box I thought everything included was fantastic! I even went and ordered a case of NIc Nacs after trying the bag included and may order a case of the Buenos! The Hanuta is also something I’d like to find more of.

I liked this review too, with all the junk food around for the holidays you need to take a break, and most of the treats were sampled. The paprika chips sound delicious, paprika is one of my favorite spices!

I think the review was helpful! The hazelnut wafer looks amazing too! I prefer soft gummies, but hey, their smurfs, so I’d eat them in a heartbeat.

I don’t feel like this was a helpful review if your not going to sample things. If you update it/replace your current text once you’ve sampled them that would be nice.

Technically, one doesn’t have to reviews the product inside the box because this is a “box review” and not a product one. Granted I also like knowing what others think of the treats they receive, I’m not bummed about it if they include the product’s details since opinion is suggestive.
