Super Geek Box Subscription Box Review – December 2015

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Super Geek Box is a box in the geek category. They have a monthly themed box that promises to send out $40+ of goodies in each delivery.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Super Geek Box

The Cost: $13.92 plus shipping ($6 shipping to the US)

The Products: $40+ Value of goodies in each box. Every month features a mystery collection with a guaranteed exclusive Ultra-EPIC Shirt!

Ships to: US and Canada

Each box is themed, this month’s theme was ‘Good Times’. The card unfolds vertically to display information about all the items.

Double Grip Force Choke Shirt – Value $10?

This might be the best shirt the I’ve received in a geek box this year. Also, very proper use of a mashup.

Deadpool Dorbz – Value $7.99 on Amazon

There were two possible Dorbz this month, Starlord and Deadpool. Either one would have been a win for me, so I was happy to receive Deadpool!

Here’s Deadpool out of the box.

Adventure Time Build-A-Figure – $1-2 on Amazon

There were 7 possible Adventure Time buildable figures. I received Lumpy Space Princess, or LSP. These are a neat iteration on a vinyl toy, and would be cool to get from a quarter machine in a grocery store – do those even exist anymore?

Here’s LSP put together. It’s a bit weird that the arms are drawn on the body, and there are built-in arms on the body. But, I guess LSP’s body kind of looks like that on the show.

Enemy Critters Socks – Value $8-10?

These are Super Geek Box exclusives! I’ve been getting more and more excited for socks…maybe I’m getting old? Anyways, I’m loving these Mario themed socks! Now I want a sonic set just like this.

Coexist sticker – Value $5?

This is also an exclusive this month. There are tons of ‘Coexist’ stickers out there, this one is just a bunch of different franchises coexisting.

String Doll – Value $2.50 on Amazon

The last item is this little string hero. There were a number of different characters you might have received from the DC universe, both heroes and villains. I got the boy wonder, Robin.

Verdict: I thought this was a great month for Super Geek Box! I was a big fan of the shirt, Deadpool, and the socks! They definitely pack in the value for this box – and while I tend to relate this box to 1UP Box, I think this box doesn’t have a younger target audience like 1UP Box. So far, I’ve been really pleased with their boxes, this being my 3rd delivery.

  1. Super Geek Box is not a good subscription. I subscribed to them on December 14th. Their site says the box will be delivered by the 28th. Today is January 2nd and the box hasn’t even shipped yet. They blamed the delay on the holiday season but that’s nonsense. I ordered a 1up box literally the same day as the Super Geek Box and that box arrived on December 23rd.
I canceled my subscription with Super Geek Box, I hope. You have to email them to request the cancellation so who knows if they’ll actually cancel my subscription or if they’ll ever send me the box I already paid for. I have doubts in regards to both those questions.
This is a shady company, I recommend folks stay away from them.

  2. I love those socks. Too bad they’re exclusives!

  3. if anybody is willing to sell this shirt in a size large please let me know!
