Stitch Fix is a monthly styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences, and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

Each box comes with cards with styling suggestions for every piece, plus a letter from your stylist.
And this is my invoice sheet. It lists the prices per item and the discount I’d receive by keeping all 5 items. With the 25% discount and my $20 styling fee factored in, this box would cost me a total of $217 to keep everything – approximately $43.40 an item.
This month they also included a nice little note for the holidays.
Loveapella Beasley Cold Shoulder Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $58
I wasn’t sure I liked this top when I tried it on, just because I didn’t know what to make of the arm cutouts. However, seeing them in the photos I think they’re actually a pretty cool touch!
DRD Ashton Bootcut Jean – Cost to Keep: $88
These jeans are great! Props to my stylist for making sure they’re nice and long and the fit is just right.
Pixley Edmond Henley Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $54
I’m digging the colors and pattern on this top, but other than that, there wasn’t anything that made me love this top. It’s nice, but I don’t love it enough for the price.
Market & Spruce Lawford Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $58
Normally I love stripes, but this top isn’t floating my boat. Something about the colors and sizes of the stripes doesn’t flatter me, I feel. Also, it was just barely thin enough that I had to wear a second layer under it, too, which I didn’t care for.
En Crème Calia Open Cardigan – Cost to Keep: $58
This cardigan was really soft, and I like that it’s sheer/breathable so I don’t end up overheating in it. However, I’ve been finding such great cardigans in boxes lately, and this one just isn’t one of my favorites.
Verdict: This fix was okay. I liked the Cold Shoulder top and the jeans, but the other tops and cardigan underwhelmed me. They weren’t bad, they just didn’t wow me, which is fine because I’ve loved my last couple fixes and I know not every one can hit it out of the park.
