Stitch Fix is a monthly styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences, and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

FYI – My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

Each box comes with cards with styling suggestions for every piece, plus a letter from your stylist.

And this is my invoice sheet. It lists the prices per item and the discount I’d receive by keeping all 5 items. With the 25% discount and my $20 styling fee factored in, this box would cost me a total of $217 to keep everything – approximately $43.40 an item.

This month they also included a nice little note for the holidays.

Loveapella Beasley Cold Shoulder Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $58

I wasn’t sure I liked this top when I tried it on, just because I didn’t know what to make of the arm cutouts. However, seeing them in the photos I think they’re actually a pretty cool touch!

DRD Ashton Bootcut Jean – Cost to Keep: $88

These jeans are great! Props to my stylist for making sure they’re nice and long and the fit is just right.

Pixley Edmond Henley Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $54

I’m digging the colors and pattern on this top, but other than that, there wasn’t anything that made me love this top. It’s nice, but I don’t love it enough for the price.

Market & Spruce Lawford Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $58

Normally I love stripes, but this top isn’t floating my boat. Something about the colors and sizes of the stripes doesn’t flatter me, I feel. Also, it was just barely thin enough that I had to wear a second layer under it, too, which I didn’t care for.

En Crème Calia Open Cardigan – Cost to Keep: $58

This cardigan was really soft, and I like that it’s sheer/breathable so I don’t end up overheating in it. However, I’ve been finding such great cardigans in boxes lately, and this one just isn’t one of my favorites.

Verdict: This fix was okay. I liked the Cold Shoulder top and the jeans, but the other tops and cardigan underwhelmed me. They weren’t bad, they just didn’t wow me, which is fine because I’ve loved my last couple fixes and I know not every one can hit it out of the park.

Thanks so much for your wonderful reviews Haley! They’ve become some of my favorites (& I signed up for Stitch Fix based on your reviews)! I just received my second fix and it’s been fun so far! The first fix I kept a cardigan I just love and the second fix I kept two shirts (one was a thin shirt that is work appropriate, which is wonderful for the climate I live in…the second was a red shirt I’ve worn to 3 or 4 holiday parties). What really impressed me is that they paid attention to all of my requests/comments and to the Stitch Fix Pinterest page I created. I had commented on my Pinterest page how someday I probably need to purchase a black blazer…a few weeks later, a black blazer came in my Fix!!! The only issue I’m having is that I prefer fitted shirts, which I specified in my preferences, but I’ve primarily received baggy shirts. I would have kept every single item in my last fix if the shirts were fitted. They sent me the cutest holiday sweater that was way too big – it just killed me to have to send it back…

I’m beginning to enjoy Stitch Fix more than Golden Tote at this point. My GT surprise items do not come even a little close to my style preferences and are honestly just downright weird at times! I do love that my stylist at Stitch Fix is pretty dialed in to my tastes. I had one bad month but they made up for it the next month. I have also been very underwhelmed by wantables clothing box. I’ve only it had for one month so far but that really sucked and was insanely expensive for what it was…I think one tank top was $60+ which was insane to me!!! I think every outfit looks great Haley!
