PawPack is a monthly subscription box for dogs or cats. This is a review of the “small” dog box. (PawPack customizes your box to your dog’s size – my dog, Nyx, weighs 82 pounds (she has lost a lot of weight due to an illness). I am supposed to be getting “large” dog boxes for review, but there was a shipping error this month. Next month, we should be back to large dog boxes! PawPack focuses on eco-friendly, organic, and natural items for your pet.

Here’s a look inside the box. This seemed a bit more balanced in terms of treat/toy ratio than past boxes!
The Subscription Box: PawPack
The Cost: $39 per month on a month-to-month plan, with better deals for longer subscriptions. Shipping is free in the continental US and $10 for Alaska, Hawaii, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
The Products: Full sized surprise items each month along with various samples and other goodies. Everything will always be either Eco-Friendly, Organic, or All-Natural.

The card this month talked about this month’s charity effort, Project Blue Collar, which donated gift bags to people who adopted senior dogs during the month of November. The other side of the card listed the items. These cards are really glossy and I have yet to be able to photograph one without some serious glare – sorry for that!
Solid Gold Lil’ Boss Turkey and Hearty Vegetable Recipe
I didn’t include a value for this because, at a lot of independent pet stores where you buy premium food, you can get free food samples. My neighbors on both sides have small dogs so I will hand this off to one of them. My last Rottie, Jet, ate Solid Gold food for larger/senior dogs and I am a big fan of the brand.
Puptato Dehydrated Sweet Potato Chips (2 oz) – Value $4.99
I got these somewhere else recently (maybe Surprise My Pet?). Sadly, the bag was open and there were crumbs encrusting many of the items in the box. They do have a little bit of chicken liver in them for flavor, but they’re low in fat and made in the USA!
Lulubelles Power Plush Dog Toy Turkey – Value $14.97
I was a little surprised when I saw how much this sells for! It’s a cute inclusion for a Thanksgiving box (I did get this in time for Thanksgiving). Unfortunately, no pictures of Nyx this month. I just don’t feel safe giving her toys this small. (She is a ferocious foreign object eater.)
Foufoudog Plush Frog Toy – Value $7.99
This was a good month if your dog likes plush toys.
Wild Meadow Farms Turkey Minis (3.5 oz) – Value $13.99
This is a pricey treat! But turkey is appropriate for Thanksgiving, and these can be used as training treats for larger dogs or just as regular treats for small dogs. And there were a lot of treats in the package.
Fou-Stick Protect Natural Protective Paw Balm – Value $4.99
This is a protective balm for dog paws and should help with salt on the roads in winter as well as hot pavement. I haven’t been able to test it out yet as I live in Georgia and it is only just now getting cold. (Really, I was wearing sandals AFTER Thanksgiving…) But it is a nice idea for a fall/winter box.
Verdict: I calculated a value of almost $47 for the November 2015 PawPack. That is a good value for this box and more than the cost of the box on a month-to-month basis. I thought the items were well-curated for fall and Thanksgiving, as well.
