My Texas Market is a monthly subscription box that delivers small-batch, locally made, food items, beauty products, & home goods from Texas artisans.  This month’s theme was “The Night Before Christmas.” A portion of the proceeds from this box is donated to the Houston food bank.

I loved the packaging this month!  It looked like a nicely wrapped present with my name on it and a little tree branch!

Amy’s Ice Creams – Hot Chocolate Mix – $6.99

I received my box on the 23rd – just in time for Christmas, so I brought this with me up to our Christmas cabin to share with my family.  We tried it last night as hot chocolate, and then I also added some to my coffee this morning.  The opinion was unanimous – it’s delicious!

Michele’s Marshmallows – Peppermint Marshmallows – $8.00

These marshmallows are also amazing!  I added one to my makeshift mocha this morning, and it was a great combination – coffee, chocolate, and pepperminty goodness.

Cowtown Chic – Texas Wood Ornament – $7.00

I couldn’t find this item online to link to, but the ornament is so cute!  It’s perfect for anyone that loves Texas!

Ardent Hands Designs – Boo Boo Buddy – $7.00

This is an unscented 4 x 6 hot/cold pack.  It has a removable and washable cover made from canvas.  It is filled with lentils – which don’t give off an odor like rice packs do!

Karima’s Korner – Shiner Holiday Cheer Coasters – $10.00

I couldn’t find these online either though I did find an Instagram account for the designer.  Each of these coasters is backed with cork, and they’re very heavy duty.  I don’t drink beer, so I will probably swap or gift these!

Kimber’s Cookies – Cranberry and White Chocolate Cookie Kit – $10.00

This is a cookie mix that you add one egg, butter, and vanilla to, and then bake!  Super easy.  It is made with Guittard chocolate, which I’ve heard is amazing!  I can’t wait to bake these up.

Verdict: My Texas Market is repeatedly one of my favorite boxes each month.  The value of this month’s box is $48.00.  This subscription doesn’t promise an amazing value each month – just, at least, the value that you pay for the box.  I’ve found that it consistently exceeds the cost, though, and have always been happy with the value.  The packaging is always top notch, and the products have always been great.  I have not been disappointed in this box once!

If you’re considering getting a new subscription, I would highly recommend this one.

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!

  1. Agreed if not for the 8.95 shipping it would be an amazing box, but who can afford the box plus the shipping every month?

  2. I got this box after I bought the Black Friday deal and LOVED it. It was packaged so beautifully, everything individually wrapped and a handwritten card inside was so thoughtful. My family also loved the hot chocolate, they said it was delicious, I haven’t tried it yet. I love the coasters, I think they’re really cool. The only thing is they charge for shipping, so it’s not $35/month. It’s like $42.50, so the value isn’t really great when you pay for shipping. But I still thoroughly enjoyed this box and November’s. Plus their customer service has been awesome.
