Loot Crate Level Up Subscription Box Review December 2015 - BOX

Loot Crate recently began offering a separate subscription from their monthly boxes called Level Up. The items sent in their Level UP subscriptions are not repetitive products from their monthly boxes but do tie into the same monthly themes. There are 5 different subscription plans, each offers a different curation of products: Level Up Wearable, Level Up Socks, Level Up Shirt, Level Up Accessories, and Level Up Bundle (Level Up Bundle is a combination of the Wearable and the Socks subscriptions).

This is a review of three – the Wearable, Socks, and Accessories subscriptions.

Loot Crate Level Up Subscription Box Review December 2015 - items 1

R2-D2/C3PO Socks (Exclusive) – value: $ 10?

This pair of socks is so cute. They feel like nice quality, and I love the classic Star Wars characters.

Kylo Ren Crew Socks – value: $10?

These are the other pair of socks for the Level Up socks subscription. I like them! Kylo Ren is my new favorite villain, and I was planning on getting some merch with him on it as soon as I saw the new movie.

BB-8 Clutch Bag – value: $14.99?

BB-8 is the cutest droid I’ve seen and I like that this wristlet clutch came in another, patterned, protective case that snaps shut almost like a second bag itself!

Darth Vader Bag Charm/Keychain (Exclusive) – value: $

This keychain is puffy and seems well-made. I think it’s a really cute little accessory.

Exclusive Star Wars Lounge Pants – value: $19.95?

These pants are great – I’m thrilled with them! The design is awesome and they feel great since they’re 100% cotton. Also (and this is the best part for me) they’re very long! This is probably because they’re technically classified as men’s pants, but I’m so happy that these are nice and long for both me and my husband (who is 6’3”).

These are exclusive, so I can’t find them for sale online. However I did find this other awesome pair of official Star Wars lounge pants for sale, and you can bet I’m buying those, too!

Here’s a close up on the design of the pants. The design is great, featuring blue-print-like graphics for X-Wings and Tie Fighters!

The Verdict: I’m thrilled with the Loot Crate Level Up collections this month! I was really hoping for Star Wars merch – my husband and I (and his family) are all obsessed with it. My husband is actually named after Luke Skywalker! Everything seems like really good quality and I think you get a nice value for what you pay for each subscription (about $55 in products for the little less than $40 the Wearables, Accessories, and Socks subscriptions cost totaled).

  1. Are the socks 100% cotton because, if so, might be worth upgrading my Level Up subscription to include them with the wearable?

  2. The pants for me were about 5 inches too long. It was ridiculous. Other than that, I loved everything else and have been loving the Level Up even more than Loot Crate. The socks are my favorite part.

    • Shasta – I’m 6′ and the pants hit the floor on me. So they’re perfect for me, but I can definitely see how people shorter than me would have to hem them for sure!

    • HI Shasta, I’m sorry to hear that you had fit issues with the pants. Will you please reach out to customer support by submitting a ticket at the link below and let them know of your issue? We will do our best to make sure you end up with pants that fit properly.
