Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - ClubOptions

Candy Club recently added several different club options that help tailor boxes to suit different candy preferences. Subscribers can now choose between three clubs: “Sours & More,” “Classics,” and “Favorites.”

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - ClubQuiz

To help determine which club is right for you, subscriptions now begin with a fun online quiz! (Though, if you don’t like your quiz results, you can always pick a different club.)

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - Card

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - Quattro

 Dorval Quattro Sour Snax

I love sour candy and Astro Belts, so this candy is a big win for me! The fruity strips are very sour, and I like the small, poppable pieces.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - Allsorts

 Gustav's Sweet Allsorts

“This nostalgic all sorts mix has been a British icon since the 1920’s.” It’s a fun mix of gumdrops, squares, and filled rolls. The squares and rolls remind me a bit of fondant. They’re sweet and a little chalky. This isn’t my favorite mix, but, with all the flavors and shapes, it’s certainly fun to eat.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - Gimbals

Gimbal's Chocolate Fudge Chews

I like chocolate, and I like gummy candy, but chocolate-flavored gummy candy? The chewy rounds have a cocoa flavor that my husband seems to like, but, unfortunately, I don’t think this treat is for me. In my book, chocolate should be chocolate.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - Toffees

 Primrose Buttery Toffee

According to Candy Club, Primrose Buttery Toffees are known for their old-fashioned flavor. I like the rich, caramel flavor of these hard candies. They remind me of Werther’s Originals.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - Cocoa

Bellagio Gourmet Cocoa

I also received two packets of cocoa this month. With winter just around the bend, I’m sure it won’t be long until I’m scouring the cabinet for hot cocoa mix, so this is a welcome addition to the box!

Verdict: This isn’t my favorite box from Candy Club, but I really enjoyed the Quattro Sours and the cocoa mix. I’m pleased to see that they’ve modified their subscription plan to help make sure that subscribers receive the kinds of candy they prefer. In terms of value, Candy Club claims that each box will have a retail value of $60. I struggle a little bit with that because, while similar pricing is typical at high-end candy stores like Dylan’s Candy Bar, you can definitely purchase the same candy for a lot less if you buy it in bulk online. Still, I think Candy Club’s packaging and candy selection add a lot of value, and I like getting a giant box of candy delivered to my doorstep every month.

I’ve received 2 shipments now and never received any bonus items. Also I marked that I don’t want anything fruity or sour and everything I’ve received is fruity, and a few of the items are even the sour ones. Yuck.

I decided to give them a try because I saw all the delicious chocolates here and the new customizations. I guess that’s something that only reviewers receive. Non bloggers need not apply.

Btw, I’ve contacted customer service via email and phone. No luck. Good luck to everyone else.

Any tips on removing the lid from these? I just received mine today and I have been trying to get the lid off for like 5 minutes. Lol

Butter knives are great for opening the lids

I have ordered this tw8,3 and used a $20 off coupon cancelling after the each box shipped. The candy was great and the price was pretty good with the $20 off coupon.

I have done 3 months with Candy Club and unfortunate I will be cancelling. Ever month reviewers seem to get extras that I have not gotten, hot coco this month a little tin of hard candies another. And in clicking the link and seeing that I can get the same candies for significantly less even with shipping kinda sealed the deal. The value of this subscription is not here and the choices many times are odd, yes the “Fudge Gummies” were really not good. The old timey mix I kinda liked but only the green ones as they tasted like lime, the rest of the mix had no flavor and was thrown away with the Fudge things. Way too much money to throw it away. I thought they would get in a rhythm or maybe include some seasonal candies or go with a theme but nope. So bummed as I really love the concept.

I got my first box yesterday, and it was a completely different assortment (which, honestly, I’m happy about – chocolate gummies? yuck). I got strawberry sour strips, butterfly gummies, sour jelly beans, and taffy, all of which I’m quite happy with. i guess maybe the intro box is different than the regular boxes? Either way, I already love this subscription box….I just wish they had bigger intervals between shipments. I would much rather get a box every 3 months than every month, as this is a ton of candy and i live alone, so that’s just too much candy for one person every month.

I got this exact box this past month minus the hot cocoa (wth?) but I have to agree with you, the dolly mix was GROSS and basically inedible; they have been tossed. The chocolate gummies are just weird and not appealing; tossed as well. Waste of money for this past month. It sucks that $20 went to this for me. I did call them and apparently you can change your preferences now…. which had I known, I would’ve done. They need to send out an e-mail and inform their current subscribers.

It’s probably good they don’t offer a strictly vegetarian one because then I would be really tempted to sign up (most gummies are off limits for me).
