The Menswear Club subscription is "...not a box, it's a parcel."  It is described as an “elite parcel of 5-6 products…delivered straight to your doorstep – every month.”  You can expect a mixture of grooming products, accessories, and products exclusive to Menswear Club.

The Menswear Club Subscription Parcel Review November 2015 - 4

This parcel was sent via USPS 2 Day Priority Mail, so it arrived in the standard USPS packaging.  The box inside was anything but standard!  The outer box is a nice glossy black, with a paisley inner box.  It opens like a little drawer…they definitely score points for a cool box.  This month there was a postcard detailing all of the items included!  Last month there wasn't, so this is a welcome inclusion.

Skinny Tie Madness - Skinny Tie  and Pocket Square - $29.00

At first, I thought this tie was Hatorade, which I thought was great.  If anyone asks what tie you're wearing, just say "hatorade, man!"...I'm curious where they came up with that name.

Alas, it is not hatorade, it is Andre the Jet, basic skinny tie and pocket square.  The only thing less cool is the name. The quality of the tie and pocket square are great, and seem like they are decent quality for the price.  Ties can be so expensive!

Rebel's Refinery Moisturizer - $17.00

This is an anti-wrinkle moisturizer made for men.  The website description reads: "The hydration of this product reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Green tea and anti-oxidant rich raspberry seed oil are perfect ingredients to promote elasticity and tone in the skin.  Don't act like you're not afraid of wrinkles gentlemen.  Stay handsome."  This is an unscented moisturizer.  I've not heard of this brand before, but since it's mainly skincare for men, I'm not surprised!

Brothers Artisan Oil - Orange and Grapefruit Oil - $11.00

I have become really interested in facial oils in the past few months.  What started with zero facial oils, has now become quite the collection!  This oil, while it can be used on beards and hair, can also be used as a facial oil.  It smells amazing - bright and citrusy!  I do wish that the bottle I received had the dropper dispenser...it's always so much easier to use!

Happy Socks - Big Dot Sock - $12.00

I love Happy Socks - they're always fun patterns and they're well made!  Who wouldn't love getting a pair of these?  This particular pair is too big for anyone in my house (I sometimes wear men's socks with my boots during the winter) so these will have to be passed along to someone with a larger foot.  They'll be a nice stocking stuffer!

The Verdict:  My calculated total value for this subscription is around $69.00.  I think that is great!   This seems like the quintessential gentleman’s subscription:  great value and a unique assortment of items.  The colors of the socks and tie/pocket square set aren't exactly fall colors, but that doesn't matter much to me.

The price point and value of this box is quite similar to Popsugar, which is pretty popular among the ladies here.  I could see this box taking off in a similar manner for men.  Granted, this month it does skew a bit more towards the businessman, but I would love to watch to see how this box evolves in the next few months!  Right now, I think it’s excellent!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

It’s amazing that this sub box offers full size products, that are high quality too. My favourite is the beard/hair/face oil. I’m excited for next month now!

My husband is getting jealous of my Stitch Fix and Trendsend boxes, and he’s just signed up to try out a similar styling service, though I can’t remember the name. I know this isn’t quite the same thing, but he might appreciate this box.
