Sun Of A Chic Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - info

This simple info card comes in each box, listing the names of each pair and which designer they’re inspired from (This is an improvement! Last month they didn’t list the inspiration so I’m glad they did this time!).

Chloé-inspired “Carlina”

I’m surprised at how much I love these! They are enormous and fabulous. Definitely a statement set of shades, but they’re really pretty and fun!

Illesteva-inspired Metal

I love these sunglasses! They’re a solid metal frame and they have a great weight to them. I really wish the lenses sat a tiny bit closer together for my face, but I’m still going to love wearing these.

Verdict: This is my second Sun of a Chic box and I’m loving this subscription. It’s so much fun! Both of these pairs are different than I would ever pick up for myself (again, just like last month), so it was really cool discovering new shade styles and shapes that I like. As far as quality goes, these don’t quite feel like sunglasses that will last you forever, but they’re still good. Besides, getting new pairs every month (with a pretty low price point) means they don’t have to.

Last month I mentioned that my box arrived a little smashed up and the glasses weren’t in a hard case or anything for protection – this month, the glasses came in a much sturdier cardboard box and they were additionally wrapped in bubble wrap. This along with adding which designers the sunglasses were inspired by on the info card make for some really nice improvements that I’m glad to see!

  1. Got my December pair and I liked them, but got no information card, they were coming so late and they were sent in a zip lock bag with those tissue shreds, so I don’t know if they are secure. I cancelled for those reasons, but liked the two pair I received. They were definitely outside the box.

  2. Saw this and bought it instantly! I’m a sunglasses hoarder ! Thanks for the coupon code ^-^

  3. On my wish list this second!

  4. I would really like to purchase the box but I did try to go through checkout and there was no security protection. I feel uneasy about putting my card information on a website that may not be secure. If this changes, please let me know!

  5. The site is unsecure and credit card details go over unsecure HTTP channel. Since there’s no option to use paypal, how did you guys do payment?

  6. I freakin love love those carlina sunglasses!!!!!

  7. What brand and color is on your lips? It is gorgeous!

    • That’s what I noticed in the pics too! Please tell!!

    • I agree — that lip color looks great on you!

    • Haha, Thank you, Amber, Annie, and Sue! I’m wearing the Balm’s Meet Matt(e) Hughes liquid lipstick in Charming! I got the shade Committed from Ipsy and loved the formula so much I bought other colors!

      • I was reading your post, and the first thing that I saw that stood out was your lips. It looks great on you. I too got the sample and ended up purchasing all the colors, I love Matt Hugh’s.

  8. Is there any UV protection in the sun glasses?

  9. Couldn’t stop myself, $14 for two pairs is a steal! Thanks for the code!

  10. Hi, sorry if this is a double post, I don’t see my previous comment! Is there a coupon code associated with this review? I might just be missing it! I would like to use it to sign up for this subscription!

    • Added now – SUN50 for 50% off! 🙂

      • I actually found MSA60 and it worked! 🙂 $11.99 for the first month for 2 pairs!! YAY!!!

  11. I am IN. LOVE. with those first glasses!

    • That style–I could not pull it off, darn it…. but I love how they look on Haley.

      • Thank you! I never would have picked them up thinking I could, either. That’s one of my favorite things about this sub – it makes me try styles I’d never pick out on my own! You might be surprised what styles you end up loving to wear, too. I bet you could pull them off once you saw them on! =]
