Stitch Fix Review November 2015 - BOX

Stitch Fix is a monthly styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences, and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

FYI – My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

Stitch Fix Review November 2015 - info 1

Each box comes with cards with styling suggestions for every piece, plus a letter from your stylist. Turns out my stylist is still the same girl who did most of my fixes while I was pregnant!

Stitch Fix Review November 2015 - info 2

And this is my invoice sheet. It lists the prices per item and the discount I’d receive by keeping all 5 items. With the 25% discount and my $20 styling fee factored in, this box would cost me a total of $235 to keep everything – approximately $47 an item.

Staccato Jessi Hooded Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $48

This top is really cute and very comfy! It’s a nice, lightweight knit and I like the color a lot.

Pixley Greenich Striped Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $48

Basic, striped tops are something I love. The material is thick enough to not need a cami underneath and very stretchy, it’s a really nice length on me, and the patches are made of faux leather!

Monoreno Tarrana Faux Fur Lined Anorak Jacket – Cost to Keep: $78

I really do love this jacket. It’s lined with faux fur and is quite warm and I can tell it would be pretty wind-resistant. I love that it has a hood (that’s an absolute necessity for winters where I live), and the style is cute. Unfortunately, I’m not keeping it because it fits snug around my hips and also the zipper was hard to zip.

Moon Collection Plaid Wool Coat – Cost to Keep: $98

I would need a size up in this coat. I really like the style but it was just slightly too snug, and also it doesn’t have a hood. I think my favorite part about it is that the waist tie is sewn to the coat! It’s a small detail, I know, but one that I really appreciate.

RD Style Giana Open Drape Cardigan – Cost to Keep: $68

This cardigan was actually one that I had pinned to my Pinterest board! It’s perfectly soft and cozy, and the sleeves are the perfect length. I love it.

Verdict: I had fun with this fix, and I like the style of everything a lot. I think I need to make a note to size up for outerwear (which is a good idea anyway so that I can wear layers/thicker tops underneath and still have a good fit). I’m keeping the cardigan, and I think I want to keep the tops, too.

I am not sure exactly when you started posting pictures of you wearing the clothes, but it’s so much better than just seeing them on a hanger! Thank you!

sorry everytime I see things out of this box they look plain and overpriced. so it is a definite no.

i need to pare down my closet and I keep telling myself I will quit my 2x/mo Stitchfix habit wherein I buy the entire thing. Then today they send these amazing fleece-lined leggings. Amazeballs. So cozy and the fleece doesn’t add bulk

I was surprised to get 2! If you get Stitch Fixes, definitely ask your stylist for them in your feedback! =]

Love the pics for you, especially the drapey cardi and striped shirt.

Can you please tell me, where are the items made?

Thanks!

Kristin,

I just checked the tags for you! For the items in this fix, all were made in China except the cardigan, which was made in Bangladesh.

Thanks Hale!

You look absolutely adorable in the blue and black striped top. And it’s a little edgy, which is fun. That’s my vote!

Oh, I love that wool coat and the cardigan below it.

I’ve been really loving my Stitch Fix, and it seems to be suiting me a lot better than my Trendsend selections. My stylist has really zeroed in on what I like, and she’s picked some amazing pieces for me.

The open drape cardigan looks great on you.

I don’t get any clothing subs and probably never will since I’m picky, cheap and short. ha!
But I still enjoy seeing what everyone gets in these subs and I love your reviews Haley! And all of these items look great on you. I would say you’re brave for modeling the clothes but how hard is it to do when you’re a beautiful 6′ tall blond?? 😉

I love all the tops you received. My fixes have been getting better and better. My last fix, I received a pair of jeans and a sweater that I just couldn’t part with. They fit so well! I think I am going to pin the cardigan you received. I just love it!

You look great!!! Glad you are actually modeling your clothes. Liz just sticks them on a mannequin and it’s really no help at all. Awesome job!

For the first time since signing up I sent the entire box back. It was really kinda frustrating!!! The outerwear I received was a puffy vest (I’ve never in my life worn a vest before…?) and a really big full scarf. I live in the desert and yes it gets cold (last night was 32°) but again I’ve never worn a scarf either…I wanted to but this one was WAY too much and I felt very claustrophobic! I received a great pair a jeans ($78) and two cute tops but I have fibromyalgia and both had very scratchy fabric on the inside and it immediately started a flare so I couldn’t keep them. That left me with an amazing pair of jeans at $78 I just couldn’t justify buying them. Typically, I spend about $20 to $45 on jeans and this seemed insanely high! I really like to keep the entire box since it’s usually cheaper to do so if you’re only interested in two or three items and then sell/swap the ones you don’t like. Usually when I do this I wind up liking the things I didn’t think I would and wearing them anyways. I really can’t wait for my Golden Tote to arrive so that I’ll have something fun to try on!!! ?
