This month’s theme was Tis’ the Season!

Back To The Nightmare Shirt – Value $10?

This month’s shirt is a Nightmare Before Christmas and Back To The Future mashup, which is something I thought I’d never see. I like the graphic, the mashup is a bit random – but I’m sure fans of both movies would appreciate it!

Nerd Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - Sherlock Titan

Sherlock Titan Figure – Value $25 on Amazon

The big item this month is an Exclusive Sherlock Titan Vinyl Figure. I’m trying to figure out how this one is an exclusive though – on Amazon, this exact Titan is available for purchase from both the official Titan and Sherlock stores. Liz and I love Cumberbatch version of Sherlock, so I was excited for this item, even though I’m not the biggest Titan fan.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Moose Shot Glass – Value $9.9 on Amazon

Next up is an acrylic version of the classic moose mug from Christmas Vacation! This will definitely go to good use! This is one of my ‘must watch’ holiday season movies!

When I think Christmas Vacation – I think ‘SQUUUUIIIIIRRRRRREL’!

Firefly Ornament – Value 10,000 Alliance scrip

Ok, try to keep your cool, the next item is an Exclusive Firefly Serenity ornament! Like the description says, this will definitely make any Firefly fan’s holiday season shiny!

Nerd Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon November 2015 - print and calendar

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Calendar – Value $7.99 on Amazon

Another Star Wars item to get you ready – there’s exactly one month left to the premier of The Force Awakens!

Bill Murray Print – Value $8-10?

I’ve now triple-checked and there’s no mention of the details of this poster on any card. It’s, of course, Bill Murray from one of his lesser known films, A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan IIIIt’s an interesting choice of which film to depict, especially when the spoilers had a Caddyshack picture attached. Maybe there are variations? Did anyone get a different print?

Verdict: There were some great items this month, and I think that Firefly ornament will put it way over the top for fans. I really like every item in the box, even though the movie choice and mashup choice are question to me – that’s just my opinion. Overall, this is another good entry for Nerd Block.

What did you think of November’s Nerd Block?

  1. I’m in he minority here, but I didn’t like this box much. I don’t watch Firefly (gave the ornament away), I don’t watch Sherlock Holmes, the shirt was completely lame, and there was no calendar in my box. The only thing I liked was the unique art print.

  2. We got the box and also couldn’t figure out any more about the print (same one) than what you’ve already said. ???

Also, I’ll agree that A Christmas Story is the best Christmas movie!! But Christmas Vacation is probably a second place for me, so I was still totally stoked about the “mug.”

  3. OMG. I didn’t get the box because I figured the Firefly item would be something lame again.. and now my life isn’t complete! Must stalk ebay I guess!

    • You can order the ornament off of thinkgeek.com I ordered one last year its the exact same ornament just a different box so I’m kind of glad I missed this box

  4. When I think “squirrel!!” I think Up. 🙂

I’m pretty sure if I were a bigger Christmas Vacation fan, I’d be thrilled with that mug! That’s exactly the kind of thing I like to get.

    Btw, best Christmas movie ever:
    A Christmas Story.
Followed not too distantly by Elf.

    • You’ll shoot your eye out!!!

I heart white Christmas too. I haven’t seen elf yet.

  5. GAH! My life will not be complete without the Firefly ornament.
