Deux Lux Mystery Box Review November 2015 - box 1

Recently Deux Lux released a new mystery box. This one was to clean out their showroom and every mystery box was unique and different! (FYI – this box is no longer available, but make sure to sign up for the MSA daily newsletter if you’d like an alert the next time they go on sale).

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Deux Lux Mystery Box Review November 2015 - all items

The Box: Deux Lux Mystery Box

The Cost: $50

The Products: “Each mystery box will contain our selection of 3 samples for each unique box.”

Deux Lux Mystery Box Review November 2015 - item 1

Small Crystal Pouch – value: $21?

(I couldn’t find this exact style online so I estimated the price based off of a similar item). This is a cute little pouch! I like the silver hardware, but I’m curious to see if the little crystals will pop off easily or not. Right now I’m working out of a diaper bag, so having this little pouch for cash or cards to toss in there will be really handy.

Deux Lux Mystery Box Review November 2015 - item 2

I love the purple lining!

Deux Lux Mystery Box Review November 2015 - item 3

Kawaii Pouch in Cobalt – Value: $31.50

This is an interesting little pouch! It’s about the size of a piece of paper, and it’s flat. The trim on the edges is a metallic version of the same blue. It’s really pretty and I think you could use it as a clutch or even a travel cosmetic case.

Deux Lux Mystery Box Review November 2015 - item 5

Mae Tote in Bordeaux – value: $101.50

This is the big item for my mystery box. I love the color, and the fringe is fun though definitely not something I’d pick up myself. The leather feels (and smells!) great and the craftsmanship feels very solid and quality. It might not be what I’d normally pick up, but I do like it.

Deux Lux Mystery Box Review November 2015 - item 6

Verdict: I think the quality of my items is great, and I’m happy with the three bags they included for me. Even if they’re not necessarily styles I might pick up myself, I do like them and already have ideas for what I want to use them for. For $50, I definitely feel this box was worth it!
What do you think of the Deux Lux Mystery Box? Which items did you get?

I am looking for recommendations , a purse organizer /liner to fit the waverly blush messenger bag I received. Thank you in advance!

I was pleased with my first box. Everything was well packed & protected with dust covers.
Deux Lux also sent priority due to an address snafu. I received a pretty green (leather?)Anguilla backpack – will use for traveling. Blush waverly messenger and a tan/taupe weave wallet (the tag does not indicate the name and the color mislabeled) but does not affect the outcome.

None of my bags had a tag – now I really do wonder if they were used…

Hmm , they provided prompt and very courteous service via email regarding my box status.

Well I got a backpack, as I feared. At least it is a pretty dark grey color and basket weave texture. But I don’t wear backpacks at all. I’ll try to see if my sister can use it. My other two items were a passport holder and a glittery wallet. Not bad but not great. I wish I passed on this one, since I could do without all of these items and I would rather have the $50 lol.

I was surprised by how much I liked everything I got, and it seems like I lucked out, it looks like a lot of people got backpacks or fringe. I got the Victory satchel in brown, the purple Callie pouch, and the sweetspot card holder in peach. The only one I’m not sure of is the pouch because I just don’t know when I’d use it.

This was my first mystery box and it was great! I got a pretty blue (almost navy) clutch, a white backpack (only thing I’m not sure if I’ll use), and a black cross-body lace bag. All of mine had dust jackets and I think I’ll use at least 2 or the 3. I’ve gotten burned by the Mod Cloth mystery boxes in the past, so I was very leery but I’m super happy with this one!

For my first Deux Lux purchase, I received the Abbie Card Case in a pale aqua, the Activ Heartbeat pouch in pink, and a black tote/satchel similar to the LeCirque duffle only it has a magnetic closure instead of a zipper. No dust covers, which I knew not to expect. Would I have purchased any of them if I saw them in a store, probably not.

I ordered the $50 mystery box and didn’t like any of the three things I got. One was a passport case that was soiled! One was a hunter green crossbody bag with scratches on the gold front buckle as if it had been used (no protective cover) and a suede/gold backpack so not my style. I called their customer service days ago, left a voicemail and nobody has even bothered to return my call. Ugh!

Me mystery box was just ok. I got something similar to your blue pouch in a beige color but it has a flowery pattern cut out all over. Nothing small could go in it or it would fall out, also anything in it would be visible from the outside. Also, a red wallet and a very small teal purse. I will probably only keep the wallet. I also wish my items had come in dust bags.

That blue pouch could be a great iPad or Kindle case. It looks like it could even fit a larger iPad.

The reviewed items are so cute.

I like everything you received!!! That small crystal pouch would make a great change purse! So cute!

My luck with $50 mystery bag was awful and I’m leery to ever doing it again. ?
