Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Info

This month’s featured country is Italy! (Good to know: if you sign up for a subscription now, this will be your first box.)

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Cards

Yummy Bazaar included a welcome letter, an invitation to share the box on social media, and some information about their Yummy Rewards Program.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - ItemList1

Also in the box were two cards with information about each of this month’s featured items.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Glaze

Truffle Balsamic Vinegar Glaze by Acetum (7.3 oz.)- $7.95

I usually use balsamic glaze on sandwiches and salads, but since this version is flavored with truffles, I think I want to try using it with beef- maybe as a sauce for hamburgers or as a marinade for steak.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Baci

Baci Chocolate in Champagne Bottle by Perugina (10 oz.)- $20.49

Baci truffles are made with dark chocolate and hazelnuts. I’ve tried Baci truffles many times before, and I think they’re delicious. Thanks to the Yummy Bazaar info card, I learned that baci means kiss in Italian. That’s so sweet, and I love that this box includes an entire champagne bottle’s worth of the little candies! This would make a fun hostess gift.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Cookies

Baci di Dama Cookies by Bistefani (7.05 oz.)- $4.80

These chocolate-filled hazelnut cookies are one of Italy’s most famous sweets, and I can definitely see why! They’re crunchy, rich, and delicious.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Pear

Organic Pear Nectar by Alce Nero (3 x 6.76 oz.)- $5.49

This organic, Italian pear juice is out of this world. It’s thick and tastes just like fresh pears. Yummy Bazaar has included a pack that includes three individually sized juice boxes. I’m planning to save at least one of them to use in Pear Mimosas!

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Pasta

Organic Croxetti Genovese Pasta by Alta Valle Scrivia (1.1 lb.)- $6.83

Croxetti pasta is made with a disc-shaped pasta stamp, and Alta Valle Scrivia’s version is stamped with a Genovese coat of arms to symbolize the pasta’s origin.

According to the Yummy Bazaar info card, it’s ideal with creamy sauces like pesto and also puttanesca.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Sauce

Puttanesca Tomato Sauce by La Reinese (12.35 oz.)- $6.50

Puttanesca is a classic Italian sauce made from tomatoes, capers, and olives, and it’s one of my personal favorites! I love the combination of bold flavors, and I think it’s delicious with aged Parmesan cheese.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Tuna

Callipo Yellowfin Tuna (2.8 oz)- $2.65

This dolphin safe, Yellowfin tuna is packed in olive oil and allowed to marinate for a full year. I haven’t had a chance to try this tuna yet, but I loved the tuna included in last month’s box, so I’m looking forward to trying it soon.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - Bonus

Truffle Ketchup by Urbani (.2 fl oz.)- $.26

This item isn’t listed on the info cards, so I’m assuming it’s an extra bonus. I received a sample of this ketchup in the Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Sampler Box, and I thought it was great, so I’m happy to receive another one.

Croxetti alla Puttanesca

To accompany the items included in this month’s box, Yummy Bazaar included a recipe for Croxetti all Puttansca. I couldn’t wait to try the croxetti pasta and puttanesca, so I promptly gave the recipe a shot!

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - CroxettiRecipe

It was simple to prepare, and I liked that the recipe utilized the jarred sauce but added a few extra ingredients to help enhance it.

Yummy Bazaar Destination Food Club Subscription Box Review Full Experience Box Sept 2015 - CroxettiPlated

The dish was tasty, and I really liked the disc-shaped croxetti pasta. The sauce was nicely spicy, and I enjoyed the sizable chunks of olives. It was a quick and delicious meal, and I liked the sauce so much that I’m thinking about ordering a couple more jars to keep on hand.

Verdict: This is my second Full Experience Box from Yummy Bazaar's Destination Food Club, and, just like last month, I’m really impressed! I discovered some fantastic new products, and I think the curation is excellent. The value is incredible, too! The cost of the items in the box totals almost $55, which is great considering the $35.95 cost of the box. This is fast becoming one of my favorite foodie subscription boxes, and I can’t wait to see which country will be featured next month!

White pear mimosas are called bellini in Italy. Harry’s Bar in Venice is famous for them.

If that was a bottle of wine and not candy, I’d totally get this box lol.

Btw, “baci” is actually “kisses” in italian. “Bacio” (or “baco”) is the singular. The “i” on the end means it’s plural.

Not only were there lots of great little gourmet items in this box but they can be used for multiple dishes, not just the usual snacks, etc. Nice review, thanks!
