Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review October 2015 - matryoshka

Guardians of the Galaxy Nesting Dolls – Value $17

This came in the NBJ Boys’ box this month also, so now we have three! My seven-year-old is completely obsessed with nesting dolls (“matryoshka”), AND he loved Guardians of the Galaxy. I got him these from a swap a few months ago. These are awesome!

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review October 2015 - sandwich-rubiks

Wonder Woman Sandwich Keeper – Value $3?

I couldn’t find this online, so I’m estimating the value. I love Wonder Woman! I might use this myself.

Rubik’s Cube Stress Ball – Value $8.40

This also came in the NBJ Boys’ box. I think this is an odd inclusion in a children’s box. But, I know children get stressed too, so maybe not.

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review October 2015 - ghostbusters

Plush Ghostbusters Slimer – Value $15

This is another item that came in the NBJ Boys’ box this month. I’m noting this not because it’s bad, but I feel like there’s always some question about how the boxes stand up against each other, are they equal, etc. I’m mainly happy because when both boys want something, we have two copies!

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review October 2015 - bookmark

Pan Movie Cell Bookmark – Value $8

This is also from both boxes, and it’s awesome! Like I mentioned in the NBJ Boys’ review, I don’t think my sons are ready to collect film cells, so I will probably hold on to these for a while.

Here’s a close up of our actual film cell. So cool!

The Verdict: This month, both NBJ Boys’ and Girls’ boxes had the exact same contents (except a different character on the sandwich keeper), and thus the same value of $51. That’s fantastic for a $20 box! I think the “nerd” factor this month was ramped up from previous months, so of course we are happy about that, too.
