Festival Highlights Tank in Purple – Cost to Keep: $14.99

(sorry for the weird lighting – I’m working on trying to find a place inside my apartment to take photos. Now that I have a newborn it’s not as simple to run outside for a photo of each outfit. Bear with me!)

I like the color of this top and that’s about it. The flowy style is really unflattering on me, and the thin straps exaggerate the way this top makes the rest of me look big. Also, it was short on me. Not to mention it’s also way too cold in Michigan anymore this year to be buying a top like this anyway.

In the Spirit Long Sleeve – Cost to Keep: $16.49

I love the elbow patches and the idea of this shirt, but whereas the purple top was unflatteringly loose, this top is unflatteringly tight! It’s definitely way too small. And both tops are mediums!

Deco Dazzler Earrings – Cost to Keep: $9.99

Deco Dazzler Necklace – Cost to Keep: $16.99

I really like this set. I don’t have many pieces of jewelry that I like that are this dark metal so I think it’ll fit into my current collection well.

Here’s a close up of the details on the jewelry!

The Verdict: Well, neither of the tops worked for me in this Nadine West delivery, but I did like the jewelry. I think I’ll size up from now on. I’m curious to see how future deliveries go. Nadine West’s style questionnaire is not as in-depth as other fashion subscriptions such as Stitch Fix’s or Trunk Club’s, so I’m curious to see how the items chosen for me may or may not become better aligned with my taste as I give them feedback each month. If you’re looking for a fashion subscription that is a lower price point than other services out there like it, this may be a box for you to try.

I received those same earrings but a different necklace in my package this month.

I was getting Nadine West for a while and at first I really liked it. However, I recently canceled my subscription when they started charging the shipping cost. That was one thing I really liked about it prior, no upfront cost. I get that they need to charge it, it just turned me off. I also liked my first few months a lot more and then I felt like the quality of the products went down and that they no longer paid attention to my interests via my profile. I also was getting tank tops when it was getting cold here in P.A. haha. I think it’s a good subscription if you don’t want a cheaper version of stitch fix but if you’re looking for something a little nicer and better quality I say splurge for the fix. 🙂

You are beautiful! You should do some make up reviews too! Love seeing an entire real person in the reviews.

Haley

That’s so sweet, Joy, thank you! I do also review Wantable Makeup – would you want to see looks done with the makeup in any makeup reviews like that, as well? Do you feel like that would add to the review content?

Thanks so much for reading!

Yes, that’s exactly what I had in mind!

Tamara

Omg, you’re gorgeous!! 😀

Wow, thank you, Tamara! =]

I had this subscription before. The clothes were always made of that very thin material. I kept waiting for a top I could actually wear. I kept sending them back, hoping the next month would be better. They sent me an email and stated that they didn’t think that their service was for me, and cancelled it lol

Haley

Wow, really? When was this? That’s so werid!

I got this subscription at the beginning of this year and I would not recommend it to anyone honestly. The jewelry they send looks like it came from the dollar store but every piece is $10! Also the shirts are never great quality either and they charge around $30 for them! They were never my style either. I would pay a little more and go with one of the others out there. Trunk club doesn’t charge anything to deliver it unlike others and they really pay attention to what you tell them you like. I just got my first one and out of 14 things I honestly loved everything! The stylist is so great, you also get ten days instead of just three to try everything on. You should definitely put yourself on their wait list!

looking awesome Haley!

Thank you!

I’m psyched they go up to a 3X (although there isn’t a size chart so I am guessing on what size that really is). I’ll give it a try – the cost is low enough that I can afford a fail. And Haley, I LOVE that jewelry!

Glamgeek

I noticed that too. This is one of the very few clothing subscriptions that have my size (I usually wear an XL).

I wonder how long the clothes will actually last? That would concern me. I guess I’d rather spend nearly $60 on a pair of sale pants or a couple sale shirts at anthropologie or J. Crew, because you can totally work their sales and get a pile of loot – three months of this sub could go a long way at sales!

I subscribed to them for several months last year. I would only seem to get one top and 3 jewelry pieces. I wasn’t a big fan of the quality of the jewelry so I didn’t tend to keep those. The tops were okay–think Kohl’s as far as quality goes. Style-wise, I felt like they were misses more than hits so I ended up cancelling.

I signed up for this a few months ago, and the items on the packing slip sounded great and fit my style profile perfectly. But the items they sent me were completely different and didn’t fit me at all (like earrings when I told them my ears weren’t pierced). I hope they’ve gotten their kinks worked out. Maybe I can resubscribe now.

Krissy

I’ve tried them for a few months. They do charge you for shipping now, but they take the cost out of the final cost for any items you keep (like StitchFix). The jewelry was never really a hit with me but I did like some of the tops. I did learn though that the faster you send the returns back the more pink packages you get. I think I got 3 in the month of September! Totally worth a try though.

Congrats, Haley! It’s so strange seeing you without a belly!

This subscription has piqued my interest. I like that price points are reasonable. How was the quality?

Reply ButtonReply

Haley

Thanks, K! And the quality was fine. You can definitely tell it’s not Trunk Club or Stitch Fix quality, but definitely something you could get at Target or Forever 21 or something.

You look amazing, Haley! Congratulations on your little one!

Aha, a clothing subscription I can actually afford! (Although I seriously thought this was going to be an ipsy review based on the envelope picture…) I just canceled a couple of boxes yesterday so maybe I should take a look at this one.

Reply ButtonReply

Haley

Ragan, when you sign up you actually have an option to select for it to be okay for them to send you your items in “a recycled pink envelope”! I don’t know what they ship in if you don’t select that, but part of me wonders if it’s re-used Ipsy envelopes! That’s purely speculation though.

chris

I thought Ipsy at first too! Where would they possibly get lots of recycled Ipsy envelopes? That is so crazy!

Haley, you look great! Congrats on Gideon. 🙂

Vanessa

Omg! That’s so funny!

I always see Nadine West in my feed in Facebook and I’m so thankfully to finally see a review of it. It doesn’t seem to be my style right now but I’m very glad to see what it is.

nelliebelle1197

I looked on another blog for a review of this and yeah, the way the envelopes are sealed, I bet you are right!

Keri S.

Haley, how do you look so darn cute after just having a baby? You really do!

I agree with your entire review and wished more things had worked out. I loved the patches on the striped shirt. Keeping the jewelry was a great decision. They definitely look good with black and gray.

Congratulations on the new baby! ?

Haley

Aw, thanks so much, Keri – these photos were a little hard to take/post for me just because my body’s not back to where I’m used to it being pre-baby. It’s an adjustment! Glad you agree with the review. =]

Thanks for reading!!
