This isn’t a huge deal, but I did want to just mention that I really felt like this month’s box was quite haphazardly packed… There was hardly any of the little paper “sizzle” and it didn’t cushion anything at all and honestly just made it look messy and like an after-thought.

Hape Wooden Book, Veggies – value: $9.99

This wooden book is cute – I love veggies and the colors are great.

Little Royal Two Socks - $3.50

These socks are custom-designed for Citrus Lane! They’re not on their website so I guesstimated the value. The colors remind me of Legos.

Oogaa Silicone Train Spoon – value: $5.95

This spoon has a train on the handle to help make feeding baby more fun for him. Cute idea, I think. It’s made out of high-grade silicone that's BPA, PVC- and phthalate-free and I love that it’s also dishwasher, microwave, and sterilizer safe.

Hohner Kids Mini Cage Bell & Egg Shaker – value: $8

These are noisy toys! Once my baby gets older, I’ll be curious to see if he likes them. I can see the bell (the toy with the handle) being easy to grab and interesting, but the egg shaker seems like it may be hard for him to hold/play with. We’ll see.

The Verdict: This month of Citrus Lane was really underwhelming for me. The value of this Citrus Lane box comes out to $27.44 which I’m not happy with. The fact that the value doesn’t even break even (or, it may barely break even, if I underestimated the value for the socks) frustrates me and the haphazard packaging was a let down as well. I generally do like my Citrus Lane deliveries, so we’ll see how next month goes.

I recently canceled my subscription, but am forced to get the remaining boxes I prepaid for…box values are a huge disappointment, tired of paying for samples. The customer service truly lacks. I cannot get anyone by phone, they force you to leave a message and never call back. I am on day 2 of an unanswered e-mail. My breaking point was sending my 22 month daughter size large toddler socks that are for age 3+ They constantly send items that are not age appropriate- they have a no return policy. FYI: they have several BBB complaints, with an “F” rating.

I got this same box, only with socks for girls, which were adorable. My packing was better than yours, I think. This is the first box I’ve liked in a few months and I think the items are all high quality even if the value isn’t fantastic. My daughter is almost one and she loves the egg rattle. It’s the perfect size for her to grip.

This was my last box with citrus lane and I don’t plan to renew. We got the exactly same thing, my baby is 7m. She loves the shaker and bell, the shaker is surprisingly easy to hold and she loves it. I am glad that this box didnt contain a sample item tho.

The egg shaker will probably be a big hit in a little bit. My oldest son did some tots and tunes classes where I was introduced to egg shakers. All the kids loved them. We would shake them to the beat of the song and there was one specifically made fie egg shakers that was fun “Eggs! Yoy can shake them’em in your hands. You can shake them on the floor…etc.”. My son will be 4 and he still loves them. My baby, who will be one, also loves them and is able to grip them for some months now.
The only thing that is different is our egg shakers (we got a pack of 4 on Amazon for like less than $10) is that they ate smooth not nubbly… So, that could mean that your egg shaker is easier to hold.
Also in the realm of noise maker toys (and kids’ imaginations) they’re not the worst. My son turned a large tin (cleaned out popcorn tin) we used to store his toys in; into a steel drum. Bt hitting it with his wioden rhythm sticks. That will wake you up in the morning. 🙂
