Each box comes with a fold-out card detailing the items included and explaining that month’s “theme.”
This isn’t a huge deal, but I did want to just mention that I really felt like this month’s box was quite haphazardly packed… There was hardly any of the little paper “sizzle” and it didn’t cushion anything at all and honestly just made it look messy and like an after-thought.
Hape Wooden Book, Veggies – value: $9.99
This wooden book is cute – I love veggies and the colors are great.
Here’s a look at some of the other pages of the book.
Little Royal Two Socks - $3.50
These socks are custom-designed for Citrus Lane! They’re not on their website so I guesstimated the value. The colors remind me of Legos.
Oogaa Silicone Train Spoon – value: $5.95
This spoon has a train on the handle to help make feeding baby more fun for him. Cute idea, I think. It’s made out of high-grade silicone that's BPA, PVC- and phthalate-free and I love that it’s also dishwasher, microwave, and sterilizer safe.
Hohner Kids Mini Cage Bell & Egg Shaker – value: $8
These are noisy toys! Once my baby gets older, I’ll be curious to see if he likes them. I can see the bell (the toy with the handle) being easy to grab and interesting, but the egg shaker seems like it may be hard for him to hold/play with. We’ll see.
The Verdict: This month of Citrus Lane was really underwhelming for me. The value of this Citrus Lane box comes out to $27.44 which I’m not happy with. The fact that the value doesn’t even break even (or, it may barely break even, if I underestimated the value for the socks) frustrates me and the haphazard packaging was a let down as well. I generally do like my Citrus Lane deliveries, so we’ll see how next month goes.
