Wantable Intimates Subscription Box Review September 2015 - box

Wantable Intimates is one of the subscriptions from Wantable, and it is probably my favorite box they offer. Like all Wantable subscriptions, you can heavily customize what they send you by filling out your preferences – and you still get to be surprised!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Wantable Intimates Subscription Box Review September 2015 - info 1

Here are the order details of my box. Wantable recently added free individual item returns to their subscription plans, so you can send back any item(s) you don’t want and get the refund based on the “Your price” listing. (Returns are free for US subscribers).

When you first sign up for any Wantable subscription you take a style quiz and you can get very specific about the items you want and don’t want. (This is the list of my loves, likes and dislikes from my invoice).

Dreamwave Pajama Drama Raw Edge Tank in Tan – value: $16 (my price $8.65)
Dreamwave Pajama Drama Raw Edge Short in Tan – value: $16 (my price $8.65)
At first I didn’t like the color and pattern combo of this set, but it’s definitely grown on me. It’s not something I would have put together myself but I actually think it’s really cute! Also, it’s not like anything else I have.

Rene Rofe Tuck Me In Tank in Floral – value: $21 (my price $11.35)
Rene Rofe Tuck Me In Shorts in Floral – value: $21 (my price $11.35)
I love this set. The colorful floral pattern is adorable and the material is really comfy.

Verdict: I love all my items this month! I think this is such a fun subscription that makes me feel like I’m definitely treating myself with something nice (and that will last me a while). Sometimes you can find items Wantable sends on sale online so the value can be a little tricky to evaluate – personally, as long as all the items included are worth the $36 subscription cost to me, I count the box as a win!

What do you think of Wantable Intimates?

I got both these pj sets though in different boxes. The pink set was in my July box and I love the material and the black and white set was my September box and I loathe the material. I love the girliness of the pink set but can’t bring myself to bother with the other set. May use tank and just have shorts in my random items drawer. Or I may gift or donate them.

I got that same shorts set with the polka dots/stripes in August. I wouldn’t have ever bought it for myself, but I’ve worn it a ton since its been so hot. These comments are a nice reminder that I should look at my profile and see if it needs to be updated for fall. It’s been summer weather so long that I forget!

I’m a plus size and I love this subscription box! Customer service has been excellent for me as well. It’s probably my most anticipated box each month.

While these are both really cute, I would have been super bummed to get 2 tank top /short sets in September. I’m already freezing at night.

I’m upset because I had my first real issue with them regarding my September box and the promised me warm loungewear for my October box and sent me a short nightgown for nights getting down into the 30s. At this point it’s just getting what’s left before new system starts up and so they gave me two boxes that made zero sense for fall in a row, even after promising to note in my account the specifics for October. Never had an issue before then but will likely be avoiding the new either/or system with only three pieces that may or may not be of increased quality but will still be an increased price for new customers.

Thank you for providing the links to the items. I really wanted Wantable to work for me, but since I am on the larger side of their XL size, most of their stuff didn’t work. However, now I can order the cute stuff from places like JC Penny, and return it easily if I don’t like it.

Thanks for this comment. I too am an XL so I was worried if this sub was worth searching since I love the sets pictured here. Good to know now that it isn’t.

Liz–

Have you ever put anything in the notes section on the quiz, where you can type in whatever you want? I got those shorty pajamas also, but in a different print and sent them back. They are cute, but it’s getting too chilly around here to wear that kind of stuff, and I’m cold natured! I put something along those lines when I went back and redid my quiz for the month (I like to change mine up!), but I did downgrade the loungewear to “Like” because I wasn’t sure if anyone would pay attention to the notations.

I have occasionally put notations in that section and they do listen and reply! Last month I got a shorts set (that I loved), but this month for my September box, I told them it’s starting to get chilly at night where I live. They sent me socks, leggings, and a pajama set that is mid calf length! It’s cute!
On the paper they pack in the box, you can see your comment and a reply.

That’s awesome!

For anyone needing additional confirmation (and additional info about Fall items!!), I also got the reply back from the question I asked earlier:

Hi Tonya,

Thanks for reaching out! I checked in your account and I do see the note that you left about that which will apply to your next order. Your stylist does see those notes and takes them into account when choosing items. I know we have more fall type items in stock as well so your next collection should be just what you’re looking for 🙂 Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with. Have a great day!

Kind regards,

Tonya, I can’t speak for Liz but I have a note in mine saying that any pants or leggings have to be really long (like, inseam 33″-35″) because I’m 6′ tall. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE me some pj pants, but I think my note may make them more likely to send me shorts (like in this box) and such. I’d love to get more pants, but before they allowed the note option on the profile, I definitely got more than one pair of pants that I loved but were too short. Personally, I’d rather get a different item entirely over pants that I can’t wear. I really hope they integrate more tall items, though.

@Haley, thanks for the input! I sent Wantable an email asking them the same thing I posted about to see what they say. I will post back what their response is, then we can all maybe have an idea. I got a shorty set in August also, which I did like enough to keep, but after getting another one in September I decided to send it back because truth be told I rarely wear these kinds of things in Summer either; I’m just that cold-natured. I’m also the minority in my house full of boys as it relates to thermostat settings…haha

I am hoping our notations do make a difference. I think a lot of the value of this box comes from the loungewear options so I’d hate to put that into “Dislike”!

While this is already extremely customize-able, I’d like to see some more sizing specific selections, such as the length (petites, regular, tall/long), and maybe even where you can say if you want warmer loungewear options! They pretty much have everything else covered.
