This box comes with a card detailing he items included.

Nourish Beauty Box Canvas Tote – Retail Value $22.95

This tote is custom made for subscribers. Each month they will feature a new tote design. Personally, I always find use for totes I get in subscription boxes, but I could see how this could be tote overload for some. Also, while I love the design, I think the price listed is a little inflated.

Balanced Guru Style Me Roots to Ends Hair Oil – Travel Size .5 oz Value $9.50

One thing to call out with this box is that this isn’t a full-size item, it is travel-sized. It’s still a great sized sample, and I know it will take me over a month to use all of it, but since the info card lists it as full-sized, I felt it was necessary to mention.

I’ve sampled this hair oil before and I really like it. I only have to use half a drop to deal with frizz and fly-aways!

Seraphine Botanicals Carrot + Rose Hydrating Facial Serum – FULL SIZE! Value $52.80

I love that they included a full-size serum in this box! This brand is new to me, and in addition to being vegan it is also gluten-free. (This is a UK brand. I did not realize until my box arrived that Nourish Beauty ships from the US).

This serum is lightweight and absorbs quickly. I’m not always a fan of rose scents, but this one is light and fades quickly.

Peony Vacation Glow – FULL SIZE! Value $22

This is a very subtle highlighting powder (AKA no sparkle/glitter look – can work for everyday wear). I like that highlighting effect is more subdued – I know I can’t risk overdoing it with application!

And this powder is also Hypoallergenic, Fragrance free, and paraben and phthalate free!

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $107. Personally, I think the tote has a value closer to $10, so even with that valuation, the box still has a value of $94, which I think is great for a $35 box that ships free worldwide.

I think this box included a good mix of products, and I like that I discovered two new natural beauty brands this month!

  1. i got the September box today. mine wasn’t in a box. it came in a small thin plastic envelope by royal mail. each item was individually wrapped in bubble wrap. the cap of the serum has cracked. the card is all wrinkled. the extra item (with the coupon Liz said would give extra box) is the same hair oil that’ s in the box. so I have 2 identical oils now.

also my credit card charged me extra for this box because of international order.

  2. Hi Liz, I have a couple of questions. Does the tote bag have some depth to it or just flat? Also, the coupon code is for October box? Thank you for reviewing this as I was interested. I agree with others with overload of totes, but can use as gift bags.

    • The tote is flat. I believe if you sign up now you would get the October box, but I recommend emailing them just to be sure: INFO@NOURISHBEAUTYBOX.COM

      • Thank you, will do!!

      • I signed up on Oct 1 and received September box

  3. I tried that coupon code and it states ‘Get One Extra FREE Product in Your First Nourish Beauty Box’ so is that just one item or an entire box? I’m confused.

    • I got an entire second box, including a second totebag.

    • Another whole box/bag 🙂

    • Same here! Confused ?

    • extra item, not box

  4. I’m not getting a positive impression of this box. It was first billing itself as vegan, but features a bizarre tote with eggs and yogurt….

But the worst thing is not actually delivering what they promised!! WTF is a spoiler for if you don’t actually include the item? Travel-sized? I really would be displeased if I received this box and would be demanding an explanation and possibly a return!!

  5. I’m pretty bummed that the spoiler full size face mist was replaced by a travel size hair oil. Boo. Otherwise it was a decent box and I’ll use the items, but I’m still canceling.

  6. I too was a bit disappointed in the travel sized hair oil, it just seems sketchy to advertise full sized and not receive it. It is a nice oil though!
also disappointed in the talc ingredient in the face powder as well as the fact that the serum is actually geranium rose oil, not rose oil. That being said i do really like the serum on my face!
Had i not gotten the 2 for 1 deal i would’ve been even more disappointed. I’ll still try another month to see how it goes, i really like the idea behind the box!

  7. I want to stick it out another month, but I’m still waiting on my box to arrive and the lack of tracking info is annoying. I hope they offer tracking next time around.

I also have enough serums/oils to reconstitute King Tut between all my subs – grease just isn’t an exciting item for me anymore.

    • This is the first serum oil I’ve ever gotten that doesn’t leave a greasy film after-i can actually use it in the morning and it sinks in enough that my makeup doesn’t slide off! Plus i like the scent although i think it may have a slight orange ish tinge.

  8. I got mine today, and wasn’t overly impressed. I do hope it gets better and am willing to give it a chance. I just cancelled So Susan, so hopefully this will be a decent replacement.

  9. I was expecting the energizing facial mist, so I was bummed about the hair oil. I also didn’t realize that this was the same company that owned SoSusan-love their packaging, but not my favorite products. The main ingredient in the vacation glow is talc, which I avoid on my face. But great experience with customer service so far.

  10. I agree that the value of the tote is inflated. And, advertising all full-size items and then one of the three is a deluxe sample size is a little misleading. Also, when I tried using the Peony Powder, I punched open two holes, turned upside down and tapped lightly into the lid. Well, the entire top came off and all the product ended up all over me, my counter and floor. However, I did like the tiny bit that I did manage to get back in the container and use. I did not like the 15 minutes it took me to clean up the mess! Just wanted to report my experience so that others are careful when using that item. I think that this is their first month (?), so hopefully things will improve.
