LovewithFood-September-2015-Brochure

Each box comes with a brochure detailing the theme and the items selected for the month. This month’s theme is “Smarty Pants.”

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon September 2015 - FoldOut

The brochure provides a quick description of the items included in the box and clearly outlines which items are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, etc.

LovewithFood-September-2015-Smarty

Smarty Pants Adult Complete Vitamins (2 gummies)- $.51

Smarty Pants vitamins have been popping up quite a lot recently in subscription boxes. I love gummy vitamins, so I’m always happy to receive an extra sample, and I think the Smarty Pants formula is particularly tasty. My only complaint is that this packet is smaller than a single serving (a single serving is 6 gummies and this packet contains 2). The sample sized packet feels like it sound be a bonus extra, not one of the month’s featured snacks.

Yum Earth Organics Fruit Snacks (.7 oz.)- $.80

Yum Earth Organic Fruit Snacks is another item I’ve received frequently lately in subscription boxes. I love gummies, and I think these are fantastic, so I’m happy to receive more. The snacks are soft (vs. chewy) and come in banana, cherry, peach, and strawberry.

LovewithFood-September-2015-SuperCrackers

Funley's Cheddar N' Stuff Super Crackers (.7 oz)- $.71

Snacks with “hidden veggies” seem to be more prevalent than ever these days! I think they’re a great way to sneak added nutrients into kids’ (and adults’) diets, and I would certainly buy them more regularly if I had wee ones at home. These cheddar crackers from Funley’s contain hidden broccoli, but they taste just like traditional cheese crackers.

Mini Jimmy Bar in Peanut Butter Clutter (23 g.)- $1.25

Mini Jimmy Bars are gluten-free and contain no preservatives and no added sugar. I’m not wild about the taste of this mini bar, but it does have a pronounced peanutty flavor.

LovewithFood-September-2015-BearNaked

Mrs. Thinsters Cake Batter Cookie Thins (1 oz.)- $.60

I’m usually a little hesitant when it comes to treats that have “cake batter” flavor because I often find the taste a little too artificial for my liking. Luckily, these cookies are an exception. They’re rich, crispy, and good enough that I want to eat them all in one sitting!

Bear Naked Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola (1.2 oz.)- $.39

My husband loves granola, so he snatched up this small packet of Bear Naked Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola as soon as I was finished photographing it. He’s a fan of the addition of dried apple and said he’d happily buy more.

LovewithFood-September-2015-Snapeas

Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps Gluten Free Minis (1 oz.)

I ate these pretzels without realizing that they were gluten free, which is always a good sign, I think!

Lightly Salted Snapea Crisps (.75 oz.)- $.46

Snapea Crisps are one of my favorite alternatives to traditional potato chips. They’re crispy, crunchy, and have great flavor.

LovewithFood-September-2015-Coupons

As always, Love with Food included a couple of coupons and promotional materials to accompany the products in this month’s box.

LovewithFood-September-2015-Schoola

They also included a postcard and stamped mailer from Schoola, a company that sells “pre-loved clothing” and donates some of the profits to kids’ programs. Using the included mailer, you can donate your used clothing. $2 of every $5 sold is donated to a school of your choice. This is the first I’ve heard of Schoola, and I think it sounds like a great program!

Verdict: I’m pretty happy with this month’s Love with Food tasting box, and I think my favorite items are the cookie thins and fruit snacks. A few months ago, Love with Food lowered the prices on all of their boxes, and the Tasting Box is now $9.99 per month or $7.99 per month with an annual subscription. I couldn’t find pricing available for all of the items in this month’s box, but I’d estimate the value to be around $6. That’s a bit lower than the value I’ve seen in the past couple of months (last month’s box had a $9 value), but Love with Food boxes do have a tendency to fluxuate in value from month to month. Hopefully, we’ll see an increase in value next month.

I receive the box that is least expensive but if I could afford it, I would get the largest box they offer. I know the box I get isn’t expensive, but I am on a fixed income.
Sorry about rambling….I love their selections they have always been very delicious. I have tried a few other food boxes and they were very gross ? and the food tasted old. I cancelled them A.S.A.P. Then I found Love with Food ? ? ???. I have recommended them to family and friends.
Keep up the great work!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND “LOVE WITH FOOD” TO EVERYONE!!!! I think it’s wonderful that they make donations for each box purchased, to hungry Americans. ???
Thank you Love with Food!

This box is FANTASTIC every month… I love like everything I get usually. I got a full size package of Chicken Jerki in my October box and it was sooooo good! This company ROCKS!…

This is kind of a minor complaint, but I wanted to let you know. The 40% deal is off the original $9.99 price, which would be fine, BUT then it signs you up for that price instead of the new discounted one of $7.99.

Huge fan of this box–and I’m not always happy with what they send. I loved the gummies, and I haven’t liked some of the gummies in the past. I thought the granola was sooo good and I’m not a huge granola fan. Not sure how “healthy” it was, but it made a great dessert LOL. I have to disagree on the broccoli cheese crackers though. I thought they were a little bland. My son is a Cheez-Its fanatic and these don’t even come close. I also loved the pretzel thin minis. Much crunchier and crispier than the larger kind and were great with hummus. Overall, great month with them!

I love this box! I don’t really care about the retail value compared to my other sub boxes mainly because my purchase helps others who are in need. If you tried to buy these snacks as singles, it would be a heck of a lot more. I get the deluxe box so double the snacks. But I thought this month was great and I hope everyone else enjoys their box too!

Those cake batter cookie thins were AWESOME!! I really liked the Jimmy Bar and the Snapea Crispy were good. I think this one of my favorite LWF boxes so far (I’ve subbed for about 6 months) – didn’t realize the retail value was so low – which is okay.

I think the Funley’s crackers are a little deceptive — as I recall (got them in another box), the broccoli is listed after leavening in the ingredients list, which means there is hardly any broccoli by weight. They don’t taste bad, but I wouldn’t want people to think their kids are actually getting a serving of vegetables by eating the crackers.

Luckily my fiance would eat the Smarty Pants because ick, gelatin and fish oil, so I wouldn’t touch them. LWF doesn’t claim to be a vegetarian box, though, so I won’t hold that against them.

I had the deluxe box so no cookie thins for me either. I paid about $13 from some coupon. I’ll probably keep it for a few more months. They do a better job than Vegan Cuts at getting chips to you intact, I will give them that.

I don’t know what I would do with the Schoola bag. I don’t have kids and I don’t know anyone locally who has kids so I wouldn’t even know what school to pick. Also by the time I get rid of clothing, it’s usually so torn up that no one could ever sell it.

I sound kind of negative in this comment but really, I’m not. I never expect food boxes to be high in value and I kind of like just getting one or two of each snack instead of a whole case on Amazon. I could eat most of the stuff in my box so that was good, too.

Received the Deluxe box, and it didn’t have any Cookie Thins in it – those sound tasty. In addition to what you got, I also received 2 bags of Route 11 chips (one of my favs); 2 bags of the Daily Crave Veggie Chips (so good); a GoGoSqueez; and nearly double of the items you mentioned here.

That was my last Deluxe box, and I recently signed up for a 1-year subscription for the Tasting Box. There is a coupon floating around (on RetailMeNot or something similar) that takes $20 off… so I wound up paying ~$72. The code has MOM(something) in it.
