Marvel Collector Corps Subscription Box Review June 2015 - inside

Here are this month’s patch and pins to start off. I love how they present them when opening the box. This box has an excellent presentation!

Marvel Collector Corps Subscription Box Review June 2015 - shirt

Secret Wars Funko T-Shirt – Value $10?

First up this month is a Secret Wars inspired t-shirt. I love the Funko inspiration in this too! I’ve seen that Funko now has a Funko POP t-shirt line (at least it’s new to me) – so I do wonder if we’ll start getting some of those in this box.

Marvel Collector Corps Subscription Box Review June 2015 - secret wars #1

Secret Wars #1 – Value $3.99

My first thought is that I love this exclusive variant cover! I’m a bit bummed that it’s issue #1, since they’re coming up to the last issue, issue 6, next month. I do realize that I’m being a bit of a hypocrite here though since I always love getting first issues – and this a good place for someone new to the secret wars to start.

Marvel Collector Corps Subscription Box Review June 2015 - Funko POPs

Thor Secret Wars Funko POP – Value $20

Spider-Man (Miles Morales version) Secret Wars Funko POP – Value $20

The $20 value is really just based on cost of a new POP. In reality, these with be worth more than $20 due to exclusivity – I’m seeing them being resold on Amazon and eBay for about $30. I was blown away to see 2 POPs – and both exclusive! I liked the shirt, but this just made my day – these are really great POPs. Also worth noting (sorry in advance for not having a picture!), the bottom of the box was built to hold the two POPs in place during shipping, I was kind of separated like a bento box – I thought that was great, since the Antman POP I got from them had the mini-Antman loose of its plastic holder after getting jarred in shipment.

Verdict: Another fantastic entry into the Marvel Collector Corps box! I can’t write a bad review when I’ve just received two new, and exclusive, POPs that totally made my day. I’m already excited for October’s box!

What did you think of the Secret Wars Collector Corps? What do you think the next theme will be?

  1. We’ve gotten a bunch of the “geek” boxes and this is by far my husband’s favorite. Packaging/Presentation is incredible and the value can’t be beat. Great for anyone who is into exclusive items.

  2. I like my Pops a ton! I don’t think anyone was suprised that Lady Thor was a pop since she was on the box and adverts (just like I suspect the next box, Villians themed, will probably have a Venom Pop) but I was SHOCKED at Miles Morales too!

    I was so pleased!

I am skipping the villians box though since I have no interest in the villians outside of Kid Loki.

I think the t-shirts could have better graphics…the Ultron one was the only one I really liked. this one is not bad but something about it makes it look cluttered I think.

I also wish they gave us some idea what to do with these pins and patches….

  3. My son received his box the other day. He is very happy with it.

  4. These boxes are great but my 10 year old has yet to receive the first box despite numerous (and I mean around a dozen or so) emails. He got box 2 and today box 3 but no box 1. No phone number for these guys. He’s seriously bummed. Suggestions??

    • Go to their Facebook and/or Twitter pages and write on their public pages that this happened and no one will return your emails. They won’t ignore you in front of potential customers. That’s what I have to do with some of these company’s.

      • I went to their Twitter and they are no help. In fact they are super rude. Still haven’t received antman box and I am a founder.

  5. Agreed–this is an awesome box!

  6. Still haven’t gotten my ant man box….customer service has been absolutely terribleness rude. Wish I would have never signed up as a founder. I would NOT recommend this box to anyone. I signed up as a founder and I am stuck for a year according to them. Even though they aren’t sending me what I paid for.

    • As I suggested to Cynthia, explain this situation to them on their Facebook/Twitter pages. They’re more likely to address your concern if you do it in front of all of their potential customers.

      • Already did that on Twitter and just got super rude responses.

  7. Tracking says mine is being delivered today! I’m so excited – those Pops look awesome!

  8. That box is darn near perfect! Oh, how I wish I got in on this one!
I can only hope the DC and Star Wars collector boxes coming soon from Funko are like this!!!

  9. Got ours 2 days ago and we love it! Funko Pop t-shirts, hats, purses etc have been around for a couple of years now. I usually get mine pretty cheaply at FYE or on Amazon.
