  1. I received my October box and was totally satisfied with the product inside (even though they are sample size).

Pros: 1. Two of the products (L’occitane and the brush) were something I would have never purchased myself. 2. Packaging is a pet peeve of mine and I was delightfully surprised at the box when it arrived.

Cons: 1. The products were just placed in the box, no tissue paper or wrapping.
    2. Total charge was $16+ (including shipping) which I must have missed in the initial advertisment and sign up.

Overall: I recommend this if you like surprises in the mail and are a practicing product junkie!! Rating: 7 out of 10 stars.
Hopefully Essence will continue with great products and on time shipping. I just got charged for my November box and am excited to see what awaits me in my mailbox.

  2. Im going to wait a few months just to get an idea before i sign up. Like what kind of brands to expect.

  3. I already signed up and paid for mines last month. Now gotta decide if I’m going to cancel Ipsy or Allure….

  4. I signed up last month when I heard about their box on Instagram. Can’t wait to receive this box!

  5. i am not a woman of color but i think this is awesome as i would expect women of color often disappointed in how “white” some boxes are !

    • Yep. I end up giving most of the product in my beauty boxes away. Glad there is a trusted option or two for us now. 🙂

    • you have NO idea! I’m so glad I got rid of Nina Garcia before the hair box! LOL

I’ve got quite a store going on eBay with all the beauty products with crazy colors/ingredients!

  6. I would totally subscribe if only this was available to Canadians … 🙁
