This month’s theme is Circus! The inside lid of every Bramble Box has an info card like the one pictured above, detailing the items inside. Lately they have been including some helpful pictures to help your child get the most out of his or her shipment. I like that!

Bramble Box Props Subscription Box Review – August 2015 - set

This month’s box has a pretty ingenious set-up for playing circus. Your child basically builds a miniature circus and then acts as a part of it! So, for the first part, this is a backdrop and some stickers to animate the scene.

These are most of our props for the month. There are three little wooden figures and some stickers to turn into circus players, some tickets to admit your family to the circus, a temporary tattoo, and a clown nose to wear. Fun!

Bramble Box Props Subscription Box Review – August 2015 - scarves

These are three scarves to learn and practice juggling! Somehow I think this will keep my seven-year-old busy for hours! This is right up his alley.

A Day at the Circus by Happy Books – Value $5.76 on Amazon

I normally am jumping up and down with glee when a children’s subscription includes a book, but this is a board book, so I will be sending it along to my tiniest nephew. It is highly (4.5 stars) rated on Amazon, though.

The verdict: I am consistently surprised by how much my son enjoys this subscription! Some months I open the box and think, meh, he’s not going to be into this, but every single months he gets into the pretend play and stays busy with it for hours. The people who curate the Bramble Box really know what they are doing! I think their curation is much more valuable than the items in the package. Bramble Box provides a lot of fun play time for a very reasonable price.
