Recently Walmart launched a quarterly Baby Box and Beauty Box. (Check out my review of the Beauty Box t00).

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Walmart Baby Box Subscription Review - Summer 2015 - info

Since I’m pregnant (due late August) I snagged one of these boxes to review!

Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Original Nourishing Lotion – 1 oz, value: $1.33

Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash – 1.8 oz, value: $1.58

Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Diaper Ointment - .75, value: $2

These are great! I’m stock-piling samples of different bathing, diaper, and moisturizing products for the baby so if something ends up not working for him I can toss it without wasting much product until we find what we love. I like the Burt’s Bees brand and I like the way these smell, too.

Aquaphor Advanced Therapy Baby Healing Ointment - .14 oz, value: $.31

Nivea Smooth Sensation Body Lotion Foil Sample - .14 oz, value: $.05

These were pretty small samples – the tube and the foil packet actually held the same amount of product!  However, the tube’s packaging is definitely way easier to use and try. I’m still happy to have an extra sample of lotion to try, though.

Pampers Diaper Pack – Value $5?

I’m not sure how to estimate the value on this diaper pack “clutch,” but it did contain a diaper and a 6-pack of wipes. They’ve sent this before in the second-trimester boxes, but it could be handy and diapers and wipes are always useful.

The Verdict: I estimated the value of this box to be just over $10, plus there a couple coupons included as well. I feel like there wasn’t much variety – other than the diaper pack, everything was lotions/skin products. Like I said, this works for me personally because I’m trying to stock up on these, but I hope future boxes have a better mix.

What do you think about the Walmart Baby Box?

Ooh I like the burt’s bees samples in here! The pampers clutch pack is also available in the target registry bag which you can snag for free at their customer service after creating a baby registry!

Since they asked for my due date, do you think they will automatically move me from the 2nd trimester box to the 3rd trimester box?

no, the clutch would be around $2 tops, a diaper cost maybe $.20 and the 10 tissue pack cost $1, so… 6 tissues would be around $.60, the rest you add value to the clutch… tho you receive many of those free at any decent baby store you register for.

I really wasn’t quite sure where to value it – I guess I was a little optimistic. =] Thanks for your input, Lais!
