The Book Worm Box Subscription Review – June 2015 The Deal

The Deal by Elle Kennedy – Retail Value $15 (On Amazon for $12.30)

Book Summary from Amazon:

She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy…

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice…even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

…and it’s going to be oh so good

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

One thing to mention with this box – authors donate their signed books, so there’s a lot of variation. (Check out #bookwormbox on Instagram to see box differences – looks like I got the shirtless man cover variation!)

Verdict: I love that the Book Worm Box donates their profits to charity, and the signed books are great too – the value seems pretty far off from the cost to me though. $52 for two books and some swag items is pretty steep. I would love to see them include one additional book for the cost, or maybe some e-book codes to keep the shipping costs down.

  1. I love the idea of bookworm box and tried it this month but I think I buy too many books to get this box because the two boxes I got I had all 4 books all ready but thats just because im the type of person who goes out and buys 4 brand new books every friday lol

  2. shirtless man – lols

  3. I got the same books you did. I feel bad because its for charity, but I agree the price point is a tad outrageous (although the shipping is now $7.99 not $11.99).

  4. I love the deal! It’s one of my favorite books. Super cute and funny with a great story. The sequel to it sadly was somewhat disappointing.

  5. ” looks like I got the shirtless man cover variation”..seriously laughed out loud!!
