  1. I’m not exactly excited about this box but it is mostly useful. I’ve never had an electric toothbrush before so that could be cool, I can always use cleansing wipes and have wanted to try this brand, I’m getting married in Oct. and the setting spray could be really cool (as long as it doesn’t cause me to breakout, some of those reviews were rough), the makeup bag is super cute, and I love nice cards and hate paying for them so that’s perfect. However, the gift card/code for Sorial is a bit of a bummer, I loved the little bag from a previous box, it was so convenient and perfect for me! And then I looked at the website and there are less than ten options and most of them are pretty expensive… hmm…

    • I just checked to see if Sorial has restocked, and it’s even worse now, there are only 3 items available, and two of those are not even available in the color of the main photo. Most of the available colors are super dark, with the exception of a nude backpack, which doesn’t appeal to me at all (especially at more than $100 for “vegan leather”). IMO, Sorial really goofed with this one.

  2. I’m actually a little excited about this box. I was not a huge fan of last month’s…I really liked the spongelle but it wasn’t worth the cost of the box. I gifted the book and put the other stuff up on the swap. This one has some useful things in it for me, I feel that I won’t have anything to put up for swap. I’m actually very excited about the mist because my head gets burned where my hair parts and I will be using it for that. PopSugar, you have my heart (and my money) for at least one more month!

    • Great idea for the mist! I’ll have to try that!

    • What’s the SWAP? Sounds like something I want to be part of! 🙂 Let me know , okay? Thanks so much! -crystal

  3. Not a subscriber here (I gifted myself a 1-mo box to get the HB dopp bag since I loved it and needed a small new makeup bag), but I’m actually very pleased by the practicality of this box. I travel for work every few months so this is all useful. I love the red cardholder which will be perfect for business cards or in an evening bag for my ID and card. Delighted I got this!

  4. This isn’t my favorite one this year but I am happy that they are trying to branch out and send items that we all dont have a ton of. Super stoked there is no lip balm, nail polish, or cheap necklace

  5. They used to feature a luxe item and some nice sidekicks, but these boxes are feeling less and less “curated.” It feels less like must-have new discoveries, but rather more commercial and impersonal. I feel like PopSugar has just jumped the shark a while ago. Pulling the trigger on the cancellation button.

    • I agree 100%!!! I pulled the plug after the CFDA box and haven’t looked back. Actually, I kind of look back each month to see what I’m missing but so far no regrets.

    • I cancelled my subscription too since the boxes just aren’t worth the full price for me. I actually like receiving the box but rarely use anything so it’s time to let it go.

  6. I actually love this! I’m very excited!

  7. I was reading the Instagram comments and it looks like there are only three Hallmark cards. This is the most expensive box I subscribe to. I get better gifts and some of the 15 and $20 ones! I’m so torn I don’t know what to do!

    • What other boxes do you subscribe to??

  8. I’m traveling soon ( for work, not for play T.T ) and I’m actually pretty excited to get all of these thing in the mail ( saving me a trip to sephora )

  9. Dear Sorial: The graphic designer who put ‘crossbody’s’ on your homepage banner needs to retake the 5th grade.

I guess I’m in the minority, but I like this box a lot. The items are useful. I need a new toothbrush, my mother just said she needed face wipes, and I’m curious to try the snack, since I don’t eat nuts. Also interested to see what the cards look like. I already knew I’d like the pouch and face spray. I don’t care about the gift card, but don’t mind it either.

    • Re the Sorial comment: RIGHT??

I seriously hope that they will have more than just nine items for sale very soon. Because sending a gift card/coupon is otherwise ridiculous.

I’m with you on the rest of the box. I like that it’s all useful. I definitely appreciate fun items, but I start to feel silly paying for a box when I can’t use anything in it.

  10. I think Liz is giving us graphics to identify the items, which I appreciate, but I also think people are reacting to the listing of the items, rather than seeing them, if you click on the Instagram page, you will see the picture- it looks totally curated , you can see the forth of July colors, and that the gift card comes in a cute card holder. I know people are all different in our wants and needs, but I would much rather get a timely travel toothbrush than another nail polish or face peel. As for travel items, the Dopp bag is adorable, and as for new items, the Supergoop product is just released. I am loving this one!

  11. I subscribed after seeing the wonderful December box. (And if you have yours and don’t want it I will buy it from you.)

I can’t believe I paid $40 for this. I would venture that most PS subscribers probably already own a Sonicare or something similar. I could have bought 3-4 brush heads for mine with this money. I do like the Bendel bag though – I’d much rather an item from a “real” brand than that ridiculous and hideous pink pineapple pouch. The retail on that was completely laughable.

    • Hi Sarah! I’d be happy to sell my December box. It’s completely unused (but opened to verify contents). Email is pathurmond at hotmail.

      • Just saw this! I will email you!

      • Hi Paige,

I just wanted to let you know that I sent you another couple of emails – just in case it goes to spam or something. I can’t wait to set this up!

  12. I think the toothbrush is fab if it fits in the bag. I hate bringing my expensive brush with me on trips and I never pack the charger, so if I go away for a week, it doesn’t work at all (I just buy a little manual toothbrush). My face is too sensitive for the blueberry wipes, but they work fine for my body for those hot summer afternoons when you need to freshen up. I think the box is well curated this month-travel essentials (if the setting spray had been travel sized). The only things that doesn’t fit in my opinion are the cards (postcards would have been a better fit imo) and the sorial coupon code. You can save 40% on the sorial site with the code JULY2015. Second, they are sending a different bag brand out…so the gift code/coupon should have been for Henri Bendel.

    • Can the mist be used as regular sunscreen?

  13. It looks like Sorial only sells 9 things…

  14. I don’t get how some of these items correlate with the original spoiler.. Like 4th of July

  15. This is the first box I’m not getting from PopSugar since November, I cancelled after June’s box. I honestly feel like I’m not missing anything. I already know this box would just be lying around in my room. Maybe next month will make me want to subscribe again.

  16. This is my first PSMH box, and I’ll be honest, I’m pretty disappointed after the first two spoilers were interesting products. It totally IS a trip to Target vs some of the previous boxes with great value and thoughtful curation. I’m glad this was a one time gift purchase, otherwise I would be cancelling. I feel I get a lot more value from my FFF box for the same price, even with the occasional off item.

  17. I’m willing to buy the whole box for $20+shipping (willing to consider counter offers). Please email maya.thevenot (at) if interested.

    • That’s not a great offer considering most women are paying 40+ for this box. Just saying.

      • Haha, that’s what I thought! Maybe she meant 40 instead of 20…

    • Wait. What?!

  18. This box is just OK for me. All of the items are practical and will get used (or gifted), but it also has several items we’ve received recently–how many note cards and make up/travel baggies does a girl need?!

I still havent used the notecards from the Sept or Nov 2014 boxes…Also why did they choose Hallmark?! There’s tons of other beautiful and fun stationary brands (rifle, papersource, Hello Darling), that they could have been picked over Hallmark.

    • If you click on the link and look at the new hallmark stuff that we are getting it is very different than the usual hallmark! Much more Papaya-ish

      • Papyrus-ish* thanks phone lol.

  19. I am so not missing this box! They were the best no more! I’v been doing every cooking box out there and I’m having so much fun!

  20. Meh, this box seems kind of dull to me. I subscribe to boxes to get fun things, but most of these items are pretty boring.

I will probably use the toothbrush, although I would have preferred a regular one instead of portable for travel. I like the concept of the setting mist, but we’re getting a smaller version of the same exact product in the Allure Beauty Box this month. If I like it, that’s a good thing, but we’ll see.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I’m not crazy excited about the Dopp kit. It’s cute enough, but I already have a lot of similar little bags/pouches, so I’m thinking about swapping it.

The wipes are something I’ll never use, and the Hallmark cards are nice to have but not something I look forward to receiving in a box. The snack item isn’t to my taste at all, and I don’t consider the Sorial card an ‘item’ because I have to buy something to use it, and I don’t really love anything on their site.

    • I wasn’t excited about the Dopp kit either. I already have a professional grade sonic toothbrush as well. I’m glad I cancelled when I saw the Dopp kit spoiler. This month is definitely not for me. I agree these items are lacking a certain element of fun or interest. For some reason this month seems really boring or practical to me. I sub to Honest Co. for practical items. PS is supposed to be for fun. I wish they had a skip a month function like some other boxes.

  21. I will use everything in this box. That is a first for me. Usually there is something I will never use. I am looking forward to this box.

  22. I’m in the here, but I’m actually really excited about the toothbrush. I’ve always wanted to try an electric one and this one seems convenient.

    • I can’t comment on this brush, but once you go electric you will never go back!

      • I did lol. I already have a battery powdered one from Allure beauty box last year I think. The batteries don’t last super long and rather than buy more batteries I just went back to my old toothbrush.

  23. I’m relatively new to the addiction – but it spreads fast, doesn’t it?! This is my first PS box, I signed up after the HB spoiler; that bag is so cute! I will definitely put the toothbrush and the wipes in my travel bag. I’ve tried the Yes to Cucumbers wipes before and I liked them, so high hopes for the blueberry! We’ll see how I feel when I receive the box; who knows if I’ll be underwhelmed enough to cancel. Fingers crossed!

  24. Cancelled my subscription after being a subscriber for 3 years. Not sad to see it go :). Will be posting almost everything from this box (and the last 4) for swap…. Clutter free home, here I come!

    • What is the swap? I’d love more information about it!!

  25. I’m sure I’ll feel differently when I actually have the box in hand but it’s hard to get too excited about a toothbrush! I hope August has some cute accessories in it.

It looks like Sorial might have had a big 4th of July sale that decimated their inventory – I bring up purses and see a flash of all the color choices but then only have two to choose from. I hope the gift card is good for more than a few weeks!

  26. I’m not thrilled with this month’s box, but I’m happy because I can use almost everything. The only thing that will go up for swap is the Sorial card (nothing on their site interests me). Might swap the Supergoop product. I want to actually see it and read the label first though. This will be my last Popsugar box for a little while, because I seriously need to cut back on sub boxes until I can use/eat all the products I currently have.

  27. Everyone that is complaining why don’t yall wait till the full spoilers come out before you subscribe? That’s what I have been doing for 4 months now.

    • I canceled in March. I just commented out of shock lol

  28. I have been quite disappointed with Popsugar since March (with the exception of April). Where did the fun go? I used to get excited to discover new brands and products I never knew I needed. Recently this box has felt like an afterthought for Popsugar, dare I say cheap? I hope they go back to their awesome curations or I may be out for good.

  29. The picture of the actual box & items on display on Instagram makes this box look a lot better than the collage on here. Honestly the Henri Bendel bag is what makes this box amazing. And I like everything else except the gift card “coupon”.

  30. I am generally pleased with my PSMH boxes and find them worth the money paid for them. My only complaint the last few months is what happened to the snacks? They are worthless. They used to be what I got most excited about. Ever since we got basil, it has been down hill on the snacks.

  31. I never would have suspected to receive a toothbrush in one of these boxes. However, I guess it’s better than a tube of toothpaste, mouthwash or even dental floss.

  32. This looks less like a Popsugar box and more like a trip to Rite Aid. Would anyone really be excited to receive these items? Where’s the fun?

    • Your comment made me laugh, though I do agree with it.

    • Man, I totally agree. I do like a new toothbrush now and then, but this does look like a trip to the health department in some store… Like there isn’t anything really just fun in this.

    • Totally agree. Don’t think I’ve been this disappointed with a box… definitely waiting for all spoilers before ordering again…

    • Agreed!

  33. For the price I pay I’m always happy with PS………..i will use at least 3 of these products so that’s more than my money’s worth right there. I find even LLB can be hit and miss sometimes or there is something in there that I’m not keen on. Either box you can pretty easily swap/give away anything you don’t like

  34. So glad I cancelled Popsugar…this box is the pits.

  35. My second month with Popsugar, and I already cancelled. I guess I need to take a break from subscription services. We have been getting way too many bags, setting sprays, facial wipes, etc. Henry Bendel is a nice brand to get, but I could pass on everything else. I ordered those wipes from YesTO’s website and they were pretty dry.

  36. The Instagram picture shows the Sorial card in a cute red card case. I think the 4th of July is the Red and Blueberry wipes- lots of whites on all the products. It looks like there are at least two of the greeting cards, and they look like a nice quality. Can’t wait to get this one!

  37. I’m confused I can only find 9 bags for retail sale on the Soriel site. The lesst expensive one is 25 bucks.

  38. Trying to figure out the Fourth of July inspiration here, not finding it. It’s almost as if they were planning on a different item that fell through. I guess I’m kinda sad because I just started with popsugar this summer after I looked at their amazing past boxes, and I’m kinda let down. This box is kinda like a higher end drugstore spree. I should wait to see full spoilers before I commit…useful things, just not the bang I expected that would really have me excited.

    • In May a theme was glowing skin and the connected item was shaving cream. I don’t think Popsugar sticks to their themes much.

    • I agree. Not feeling popsugar at all.

  39. Such a relief I didn’t sign up this month! I already own a zingily striped portable toothbrush and have tons of facial wipes and cosmetic bags, plus greeting cards of every type.
I held off mostly because of the awful reviews of the Supergoop spray on Sephora and am really pleased that this spoiler helped me make the right decision.

  40. dont care for this box and quite fed up with their useless coupon code you need to spend more money in order to use it.. My third box and I’m thinking of canceling..and going to LLB

    • I did that. Starting August, I will be receiving little lace box instead of pop sugar

  41. I’m really excited about this box! I realize there’s not a lot of fabulousness here, but I can actually use almost everything here! I too am happy about the toothbrush. It seems silly, but I’ve been thinking about going back to an electric one. 🙂 The dopp kit is gorgeous- I just hope it’s big enough to use!

  42. I’ve been wanting an electric toothbrush for ages, but I’m not sure how much I trust the pop dental brand. I’d also prefer a rechargeable one instead of a battery-powered one. Anyone know anything about this toothbrush?

    • I have the brand’s rechargeable version. Both Ulta and Nordstrom carry them, and both sites have reviews if you’re interested! Admittedly, the selling point for me was the polka dot print, but I’ve had it for 3-4 months and have been happy with it so far! The battery operated one is meant for travel, I think.

  43. With the exception of the cards and the gift code, I can use everything for my upcoming trip to the shore. It’s not a super exciting box, but I’m so happy to get something full of things I can use. Glad I can check a few things off my list of things I had to buy before vacay!

  44. Hmm the toothbrush seems interesting. Can always use wipes (and glad they aren’t the Yes to Tomatoes ones because I can’t stand the smell of that line). Thought the Dopp kit was cute when I saw it in the spoilers. Guess I will have to see what I think when I get it in the mail. Got the shipping confirmation today!

  45. I just got my email my box will be here by the end of the month. Not really anything exciting in this box for me. There isn’t a high value item. It will all get used but its just blah for me at this point

  46. I’m glad I bought this box; I can use everything here. But the Hallmark cards seem to be an odd addition.

  47. I really like the looks of this box! I’m about to go on a road trip so everything will be useful for me.

  48. This looks a really great box but I thought PS said 7 items this month. No?

    • There are 7. The coupon code counts.

    • Apparently the snack bar counts too if they are claiming 7 items. I hope that’s a bonus though.

  49. i didn’t get this box, but I have the regular Pop Dental rechargeable toothbrush and really like it. This would’ve been great to receive in a box!
