Juneberry Subscription Box Review - July 2015

Juneberry is a brand new, bi-monthly subscription box filled with lifestyle products that are “for women, by women.” They state that their aim is to encourage personal growth and empower women.

Juneberry kindly sent us this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The theme for Juneberry’s inaugural box is “In Bloom.” On the left is a little note of encouragement that explains the theme. On the right is a coupon for 10% off any purchase from their shop. They also added two little fake flowers for decoration – I like that!

Flower Garden Lifestyle Coin Purse – Value $5?

What a cute little coin purse! I’m not sure at all of the retail value as these are not listed on their site. I did find them for about $2.50 on Ali Express, but that was the wholesale price, so I’m guessing on retail.

Metallic Flower Tattoos – Value $4.85

I’ve received a giant stack of metallic temporary tattoos thanks to subscription boxes, but I have to admit, I’ve never received FLORAL metallic temporary tattoos! These are pretty. I use these things all the time! There’s something about being a parent that allows you to enjoy silly things like these. There’s nothing quite like showing up to a Cub Scout meeting looking like Mr. T!

Flower Ear Cuff – Value $5?

Again, this is not in their shop, so I’m using the same method to estimate value. This is the tiniest, cutest ear cuff! Unfortunately, I think I have to swap it. I can never get ear cuffs to stay! Am I doing it wrong?

Juneberry Subscription Box Review - July 2015-headband

Leaves Headband – Value $14.20

I love headbands like this! They do a great job keeping my hair out of my face, plus they have that great boho vibe I love!

Juneberry Subscription Box Review - July 2015 - scarf

Cherry Blossom Chiffon Scarf – Value $20?

I love all things cherry blossom! This scarf is beautiful! I am also a big fan of Japanese lettering. I will definitely get some use out of this scarf, and it’s perfect for summer.

The Verdict: This was a really fun package! If I’ve estimated the value correctly, it has a value of about $50, which is great! Even if I don’t end up using the ear cuff, I still feel like I got more than $28.50 out of it. The only issue I have is that I don’t really feel particularly empowered by anything in this box. It might help in the future if they included some sort of missive to explain how the included products help to achieve their goals.

What do you think of Juneberry?

  1. This looks like a nice box. I really like the headband. I am at my box limit right now but I am going to keep an eye on this one.

Btw, I totally agree Anna – before parenthood I never would have looked twice at those temporary tatoos, but my pre-schooler loves to put them on herself and on me, and it’s makes her so happy I show up all kinds of places with random shiny tattoos in random places on my body. Ah, having kids πŸ™‚

  2. “There’s nothing quite like showing up to a Cub Scout meeting looking like Mr. T!” = Hilarious.

This is a fun box. πŸ™‚

    • I tried to subscribe using that coupon code, but I think it’s actually RHUBARB, which worked great!

      • Ooops – I must have copied it down wrong – thank you ! πŸ™‚

  4. Love the concept, love the name!, but the only thing I would use from this box is the scarf…

  5. I love this box! And I get the empowerment, it has two nongirly items done in a feminine way, the ear cuff and tattoos.

    • Ohhhhhhhhhh… LOL

    • Aw it looks like they’ve paused the monthly subscription option until August 1st. Should I get the prepaid ones or wait until then? #firstworldproblems
