Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – July 2015 - Unpacked

Here’s a photo of everything unpacked from the box. It really is a lot of candy!

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – July 2015 - SodaPop

Jelly Belly Soda Pop Mix

I love Jelly Belly jelly beans (pear and peach are my favorite flavors!), so I’m excited to discover they make a range of flavors inspired by classic sodas. The mix includes: 7UP, A&W Root Beer, A&W Cream Soda, Dr Pepper, Orange Crush, and Grape Crush. I’m a big fan of this mix, and I especially like the Dr Pepper, Root Beer, and Orange Crush flavors. The Orange Crush actually tastes like orange soda- I don’t know how they do it!

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – July 2015 - Lemonade

Sweet's Lemonade Rings

I’m pleased to see Candy Club include an all-natural, non-GMO candy! The rings come in traditional, raspberry, and pink lemonade, and all of the flavors are a little sour. They’re soft and stick to your teeth when you eat them (not a bad thing, in my book).

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – July 2015 - Coins

Allan Ju Jube Coins

The Allan Candy Company has been making candy for over 80 years, and many of their products have a classic flavor “straight from grandma’s candy jar.” These cherry-flavored coins are soft and gummy, and the flavor does seem a little old-fashioned. (I mean that in the best possible way.) So many modern candies have a sour edge, whereas the cherry flavor of these coins is simple and sweet.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – July 2015 - Drops

Primrose Assorted Lemonade Drops

According to the Candy Club info card, these Lemonade Drops are brand new to the market. I think it’s exciting that Candy Club has provided their subscribers with the opportunity to sample the peach, blue raspberry, strawberry, pink, and traditional lemonade-flavored candies before anyone else. They’re tasty, and I especially like the peach lemonade flavor.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – July 2015 - Cookie

Sugar Cookie from Eleni's New York

(This item isn’t listed on the information card, so I’m assuming it’s a bonus item that was added after the cards were printed.) I’ve received cookies from Eleni’s before (from Candy Club, I believe), and I’m fairly familiar with the brand. They specialize in decorated cookies, but also make a selection of other kinds including sugar, chocolate, and crisps.

Verdict: I really like Candy Club. This box isn’t my favorite, but I still enjoyed all of the candy I received. (I think I would have preferred a bit more variety- perhaps only one lemonade-flavored candy.) Still, I discovered some new sweets, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to try the Primrose Lemonade Drops before anyone else. In terms of value, Candy Club claims that each box will have a retail value of $60. I struggle a little bit with that because, while similar pricing is typical at high-end candy stores like Dylan’s Candy Bar, you can definitely purchase the same candy for a lot less if you buy it in bulk online. Still, I think Candy Club’s packaging and candy selection add a lot of value, and I think this subscription is a fun indulgence.

There was a problem with my box this month, and I have to tell you their customer service is fantastic!! They made it right, and made it right fast.

July was my first month and i also got a different box but was pretty much prepared for that due to reading it somewhere….. As to it being mentioned in the review that the actual box value might be less due to being able to buy in bulk online…. I have done a crazy long search trying to locate some of the past candy offerings and have ordered from one company. Two other companies, I have placed items in my cart but after the extreme shipping and handling is added on, it’s really more costly than I want to spend.. Even so, I’m struggling with finding a lot of the candies to purchase in bulk… Any suggested sites, please?

Sometimes you do get a bonus and sometimes you don’t! As for the boxes you recieve I think it depends when you started up and you go in line from there. I just think your first box is up in the air because I’ve heard several people who signed up at the same time and all got different boxes. I signed up around 8 months or so ago and my boxes are always the same as whats reviewed. This is just my guess!

I signed up for Candy Box again based on this review and this is NOT the box that I received. Hugely disappointed.
