  1. I just received box #2 and the axiom lipstick is the wrong color for me. I can’t remember the name but when I opened the lid I see I light pinkish mauve.color. I’d guess it’s the or four shade lighter than my natural color so back into its lively case it goes. Anyone out there get the bright and want to swap? Let me know here and I’ll send contact info.

    • I was away this past week so asked them to hold off shipping box 2 to me until yesterday. When I get my box I will post if my color is not suitable to me. I have fair skin so perhaps yours will work for me. I didn’t realize there were going to be shade variations.

      • Yes, the lipstick is available in two shades and I received the light one. I didn’t even swatch it, I know that it’s a good 2 shades lighter than my natural lip color. Again, I’m amazed that the products that I thought I wouldn’t have any use for are my favorite! The cocovita is amazing. I never thought I would cover my body from head to toe in coconut oil but I guess never say never! The facial oil (the brand escapes me) is wonderful as well. So much skin just sloughed right off my face after the first application. Hopefully that was supposed to happen! Customer service told me box #3 sold out in 8 minutes!
        @cindy, if you did get the darker colour and it doesn’t work for you let me know if you’re interested in a trade. Both shades are listed/pictured on the GB website. Enjoy your box!

  2. I got this! I pass box #1 and #2.

    In the end, it really depends on which brands/products you really like and want. I happen to really like box #3 offerings. Box #2 is a repeat, as I have some of the items from last year box. They are excellent items, just not enough for me to use again.

    For those that wonder about last year. Last year they offered 4 boxes (at 40 boxes for each), for $100. They were sold out quickly. Box #4 was sold out in minutes, I want to guess it was less than 10 minutes.
    I skipped box #1, couldn’t get box #2, very very lucky on box #3 and #4.

    If you live in Chicago, I strongly encourage you to attend this event. Last year, when it was held in LA, I make plans to go (I live in San Diego), but couldn’t make it in the end, as I work late and can’t see myself in a 2 hour drive (3 hours, if include traffic). You can try all the natural brands under one roof, get samples, talk to the founder/team. Be prepare with your wallet as well, as I heard too many good things of the products.

    Can’t wait to see the spoilers for box #4 and #5. There are still handful of coveted brands that has not show themselves, and I’m hoping that it will be in the coming boxes.

      • I’m happy to see May Lindstrom item feature in box #4. A Mun brand product will be really nice too.

  4. Put one in my cart, but tried to check out at 11:03 and it’s saying Sold Out, inventory issues. 🙁 So sad!!!

    • Try again, they’re still available! I just tried!

      • Still no luck! It’s letting me add, then saying sold out.

        • That’s strange! It’s letting me go through the entire process. I’m not purchasing because I’ve already bought one but I’m not getting the sold out message. Do you have an account with them, even if you haven’t purchased anything in the past? That might make a difference?!
          I wish you luck! Just keep persisting!!

          • I know right?! I do have an account and was logged in, started trying right at 11:01. I can definitely see why it’s sold out – these are fabulous boxes!

          • I’m wondering how many people are buying at a time? Cause they could easily be wiped out quickly if each person purchased several.
            I’m on the road Thursday next week so I won’t even have a shot at one :-(. I guess I’ll have to stalk the site for the last one.
            It’s not even that any of the products have a particularly high RV, they’re just items that I probably wouldn’t discover on my own. I purchased GB’s $20 box (last month??) I didn’t get any of the items I wanted, pouted for a while and left everything in the box. Of course it turns out that I love everything they sent me! The Gressa scrub is amazing! As is the Laurel eye serum from this first box! I have tried everything to erase those fine lines around my eyes (since I’m seriously looking at 50) and this is it! My skin looks so good I am totally amazed.

          • I haven’t tried the Laurel eye serum yet although I now want to try it soon! I thought I might put a couple items up for swap when I first purchased Box 1. Now, no way. I’ve been working through the box enjoying my items.

  5. I’ve noticed that so far, none of the items from these boxes are up for swap. Everything just smells SO good!

  6. It’s live! I got one. Checked at 10:55 and it said sold out. Was peeved but decided the page might be just a placeholder and it was.

    • Me too! I love these boxes so far. I have used every product in the first box and am waiting to receive the second. I pretty much cancelled every other sub I have! I haven’t been overly excited with my other subs so I’m going to live vicariously through everyone else’s reviews (and disappointment, anguish, annoyance and occasional delight!).

  7. Fyi… in case any regular Monthly Goodebox subscribers didn’t get the email: the cost of the monthly box is increasing from $19 to $21 a month. But they did say they are going to start including more full size products.

    • From their email:

      We’re writing today to let you know that as of August 1, 2015, we are implementing a very small price increase of $2.00 per month to your current membership plan. The reasons for this price increase have to do with the the real cost of doing business, including:

      An increase in shipping costs

      Including larger, more deluxe product sizes

      Increasing the level of customization for each member

      Launching the Goode Rewards program where members earn points toward free products

      • Mine says $3 increase since I am currently paying $18 a month. So they are leveling old and new customers to the same price.

        • I don’t understand why they cannot keep old customers such as myself at 18 until the end of the year then raise it. I’m cancelling. They stay sending me face products. for 21 dollars I’m going to need them to let me pick what type of products I want.

          • Probably because it costs just as much to send your box as anyone else’s box.

          • If you keep getting face products, you may want to update your profile questionnaire and put a stronger emphasis on hair, body, etc products. They’ve done a really good job honoring my product preferences.

  8. I’m passing on box 3. I love my first box which you can see if you click on my name. Each item is wrapped individually in tissue paper making it an enjoyable experience to open.

    I think it is great that they are offering customization with the foundation instead of a random color. I have no clue how easy it is to match from a picture. Maybe it will be an option more boxes will offer in the future.

    Looking forward to seeing what is in the last 2 boxes! Is anyone attending the event?

    • The first box had so many hair products that I skipped it. I got box 2 but like this one better. I wasn’t into sub boxes last year so don’t know the history of this. I am wondering if they are saving the best for last or …….

  9. How could you match skintone from a picture? Sounds very odd to me. I would be skeptical spending this much money based on that

    • I think its just as difficult to match skin tone from a picture as it is to pick a shade from page on a computer monitor. But at least that way the onus is on them and not me. If it doesn’t work, I will feel better justified to ask for a replacement. So I am good with their method.

    • I wish I had spoken up more strongly about what color I thought would work best for the Gressa. The picture method just doesn’t work. I sent two pics and also told them I was a light-medium (thinking they would send #3), but they still sent me #2, a fair-light combination. It’s way too light for my skin, and I’m really disappointed that I won’t be able to use this product.

      • I wanted to share that I reached out to Goodebox regarding the foundation match for Gressa, and they worked with Gressa to match me to a darker color (#2.5). Their customer service is phenomenal!

  10. I find myslef a.litle less excited about this box then the first two. And with two more to go! I’m tempted to just order the foundation and forgo the rest of the box.

  11. You have to email them photos of your face before the box will ship? Uh…okay…that’s weird. I realize they customize the foundation to your face, but that’s still weird.
