QVC POPSUGAR Must Have Box Review
On May 29th, the POPSUGAR QVC Special Edition box went on sale (and I believe it sold out on the same day!) I’m so impressed with how quickly this box shipped – I hope POPSUGAR does more collabs with QVC for shipping times alone! (And I’m only half kidding!)
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Box: POPSUGAR QVC Limited Edition box
The Cost: $100 + $3 shipping
The box will include:
- Foster Grant Aviator Sunglasses
- Halo Pocket Power 3000 in Blue Leather (1 Year LMW)
- 15oz Hampton Candy Assorted Sampler
- Steel by Design Hoop Earring in Goldtone, Rosetone, or Silvertone
- 1.7 fl oz GlamGlow Mask
- 0.27 fl oz Peter Thomas Roth Mascara
- Tangle Teezer Brush in Pink
- 4.2oz Drybar Triple Sec Hair Spray
The box came with a fold out card detailing the items included.
GlamGlow YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment – Value $69
This product’s inclusion in the box made the purchase a no-brainer for me. I love GlamGlow masks, and I’m so used to sampling them through subscription boxes I never bothered to look at what the full-size price was. Wow!
This mask is phthalate, paraben and sulfate free – and it works in just 10 minutes. It’s also one of those masks that tightens and tingles as it dries, so you get that reassuring feeling that it is doing something! I like this mask for making my skin feel cleaner and smoother – it does a great job of cleaning pores.
Foster Grant Scout Aviator Sunglasses – Value $31?
I can’t find these exact sunglasses online, so I’m linking to another pair of Foster Grant Aviator sunglasses from QVC. I was expecting to receive the rope motif ones I linked to, but I prefer this simpler style, so I’m happy!
Peter Thomas Roth Lashes to Die For The Mascara – Value $22
I’ve sampled lots of skin care products from Peter Thomas Roth’s line before, but I think this my first makeup item. I’m really excited to try this mascara – it gets great reviews on Sephora, and it is free of just about any ingredient you may want to avoid!
Steel by Design Hoop Earrings – Value $18
These earrings will vary for customers – I believe you’ll receive either silver, gold or rose gold colored metal. I don’t normally wear bigger earrings, so these might not be for me – at least they aren’t contributing a lot to the overall value of the box though!
DryBar Triple Sec 3-in-1 – Value $26
This spray is pretty good – but not good enough for me to buy more of when it runs out. It adds a little texture and volume, with no stickiness, but the scent is a little strong for me.
Tangle Tweezer – Value $20
This brush/comb works on both wet and dry hair. The base part on the left is for keeping it from getting dusty when not in use. Here are the pieces together:
This backup battery charger provides up to 13 hours of talk time before it will need to be recharged – and it works with just about any device that can be charged via USB. (I also like that it comes with a little pouch to keep it together with the cord).
Hampton Candy Sampler – Value $15?
I’m guessing The Hampton Candy Company is the same company as The Hampton Popcorn Company. I can’t find this candy sampler on their site though, so I’m estimating on value.
I love that this candy set is packaged ready to gift!
Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $231. I think that’s great for a $100 box, and I also like that the value is relatively split amongst the items. (With the exception of the GlamGlow – but that’s fine with me!) I’m not sure if it is fair to compare this to some of POPSUGAR’s other limited edition boxes, but this one doesn’t feel like it has much of a theme to me. Sometimes that’s totally OK though – I’m happy with this purchase, and I’ll buy one again if they partner with QVC in the future.
