31 Rays of Hope by Hollie Marie Devotional Book – value: $10.99

I think a devotional book is a great thing to include in this type of subscription box! This lets the box give you a small message every day for a month and by the time you’ve finished, your next box is here! Books are also perfect things to pass along to others.

Here’s the description from Amazon:

“Prince of Peace. The Morning Star. The Son of God. Emmanuel. I am. Lord. Alpha and Omega. These are just a handful of names that our Savior, Jesus Christ, is called through the Holy Word. He is of the utmost importance to everyone, everywhere; whether they chose to accept it or not, He is everything. Spend a month with Hollie Marie as she walks you through these modern, easy-to-read, daily devotionals, such as Better than Cupcakes, Shoe String Sanity, and Fruit Salad Trumps Fruit Cake. With topics like being faithful, thankful, and loving, Thirty-One Rays of Hope is an inspiring read on how to be a better Christian, person, and Jesus freak, even if imperfect. While using real-life examples, biblical text, and personal experiences, Hollie has created a down-to-Earth book that will not only get you more familiar with and comfortable opening your Bible, but showing that living as God desires is one of the most rewarding things in life.”

Loved + Blessed Subscription Box Review – June 2015 - items 3

On the inside pages there was this bookmark and sticker pasted in, encouraging the reader to enjoy the book and pass it along to anyone who could use a little hope. The URL listed on these (www.passhopeon.com) actually redirects to Loved+Blessed’s website, too.

The Verdict: This was a great box from Loved + Blessed! I think this box fills a specific niche in the subscription box market – there are definitely few faith-based subscription boxes that I’ve seen, and I know there’s a market for them. I think Loved + Blessed has good concepts and interesting ideas. I don’t do a specific, value-based evaluation of this box due to its nature, but I know many of our readers have expressed that the monthly encouragement and message are well worth the $10 cost. Also, I have to point out that this isn’t a box that has the purpose or goal of providing a “good deal” or focuses on monetary value or material worth, anyway.

If you are the target demographic or have been searching for a Christian Encouragement/Faith-based/Scripture subscription, I think this is a well-executed and thoughtful option!

What do you think about Loved + Blessed?

Why are all messages written by guys on this site deleted, regardless of what they say? There seems to be a lot of prejudice here.

Hi Kevin,

Kevin – Have you checked out FaithBox? The owner is a male, plus the box is more gender neutral. It’s $25.00, but there should be a pop-up that allows you to save $5.00.

I enjoy both boxes. Here is a blurb from FaithBox’s website.

Faithbox was started to help Christians grow in their faith on a daily basis and to be responsible consumers by sending out an exciting and meaningful monthly box. Every month we send you a box that’s focused on a Christian theme. Each box contains a monthly devotional filled with daily scripture, reflections, and more; plus great products from companies that respect people and creation. Oh yeah, and for every box we ship, we feed an orphan child for a day through our partnership through Rice Bowls!

Kevin,
It wouldn’t hurt to email the company and suggest it. If they know there is an interest in it,you never know. If there was a men’s version I would sign up immediately for my stepfather.

I think this subscription would be nice for Christian college girls.

I love this box. The message is timely. I haven’t felt hopeful lately so this box is perfect for me. I’ve been renewing in 3 month intervals since the beginning. I renewed again although sadly this is the first time I have not renewed for my sister. I hope she signs up on her own.

I haven’t had any problems with my subscription or the gift subscription. The owner has been responsive to all my emails. It’s a great box.
