Inkling Scents Sultry Roll-On Perfume – Value $25

I’m not a big perfume wearer, but I think I like this scent – it definitely fits the “sultry” name! (And it is alcohol free).

Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer – Value $8

This is the one sponsored item in the box – and I think as far as sponsored FabFitFun items go, it’s one of the best I’ve seen. The formula isn’t like a lotion at all – it felt like I was spraying on a liquid. (After you spray it on, you have to rub it in). The end result was pretty moisturizing though!

Gorge I’ll Make You Look Amazing Daily Spray – Value $24.95

This is one of those “does it all” leave-in conditioner hair products – detangles, adds shine, repairs, creates silky hair, etc. I just tried it out on dry hair just to get a feel of the formula, and it seems lightweight. Also – I love the scent, it reminds me of some kind of tropical sunscreen.

Hello Konjac Cleansing Sponge – Value $12

I discovered konjac sponges for cleansing my face through subscription boxes, and now I’m always happy to get a new one in a box – I think this was a great addition to the box!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $284. I think that value is amazing for the $50 price (or $40 with coupon), and I’ll use almost everything in this box (not sure if I can rock the nail decals). What do you think of the Summer FabFitFun box? Which variations did you receive?

  1. I received the speaker in a swap-no instructions in the box. Did it come with instructions? And is anyone else’s fm radio not working? All I hear is static.

    • mine is just static too, did you ever figure it out?

    • My radio isn’t working, either!

    • This is my first FFF box and I’m pretty disappointed. My speaker doesn’t work and I’m bummed I got the pink one, but what can you do?! I also got a very bright, tacky shade of fuchsia gloss that I’ll never wear. The childish pink nail wraps (what’s with all the pink? Is that normal for FFF?) also aren’t my thing, and the gold horseshoe necklace is tiny, looks cheap, and certainly not worth $100! This box is definitely not worth the sub price. I may give them one more try but if the next box is anything like the summer box, I’ll be cancelling!

      • I feel exactly like you was very disappointed, I think I will just stick to ipsy they always send me good stuff It may be samples but I like It alot.

  2. I love this box but the nail wraps just aren’t my thing. Perhaps I have odd shaped nails, but they just did not seem to fit. I tried out 2 of them, so I really cannot post them on the swap site, but I hate to completely waste them. Other than those, I will use everything in this box.

  3. Love everything except the nail wraps. Those are such a waste! I guess they’ll go into my gift pile. They just look so cheap.

  4. Decided to resub. I wanted the rose gold moon necklace, and got tired of trying to swap for it. There are not to many of those listed, and the other colors and other designs listed many people have in comments they want the rose gold moon necklace. Resubbing was so much easier. Plus I’m also interested in the perfume rollon, the tart lip gloss and the speaker. All those combined make the box worth it for me. The other items I’ll be regifting. Yet I’m fine with that. I stopped getting popsugar which I sometimes miss, but I don’t miss the extra $40 a month expense, and more products I wont use monthly. I wish that FFF would have chosen other items instead of the: Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer and the Gorge I’ll Make You Look Amazing Daily Spray. I know the spray cant be mailed via usps and i doubt if the daily spray can be mailed either by usps. Even though I have not gotten this box yet, I know I’ll be happy enough with my purchase, great deal for the price paid, as long as the perfume rollon does not break.

  6. FFF is now deleting posts to their FB page of people complaining about either shipping or receiving damaged items. They deleted my post stating that my summer box STILL has not shipped. Shady business practices and poor customer service. I’ve tried to cancel but, that function is not working on their website.

    • They are very shady! I have written to them about so many issues, I finally got fed up and canceled. Then, I realized I got charged for this box, but late in the game since it was on an account I hardly use. I then found out I had $20 in credits in total on my account and decided to set my account back up, so they don’t go to waste. I asked if they would take another $5-10 off and at least make it half price. I thought this would be fair since I have had an issue with EVERY box so far! He said, no. Just flat out, no. I stay at home with my kids now, but I was a very successful hair stylist for years, running my own booth and keeping clients happy. I could not have imagined treating clients in such a manner. Nor would I expect them. To ever come back if I did! I just received my box today with perfume leaking out (a roller perfume too) and no Gorge product at all. I feel their boxes are going downhill and I ask myself why I keep getting them. Between the horrific customer service and the now mediocre boxes, I just don’t see the allure. They have absolutely zero appreciation for any of their customers. Oh, and what’s up with no snack this time? That was dispointing.

    • I haven’t gotten my box. They charged my credit card a month ago and
      said it shipped a week ago and still no box. Not happy.

      • Trust me I know how you feel mine shipped two weeks ago and was supposed to be here today. Its not so i called fedex and usps and neither of them could tell me where it is.

    • Mine still hasn’t shipped! Customer service said all boxes will be shipped by tomorrow (Wednesday), but I have my doubts.

    • I haven’t received mine either. Customer Service said it will ship tomorrow. I hope to have a tracking email from them in the morning.

    • Mine shipped on the 30th but is in Atlanta now. Still waiting here in South Carolina.

    • I haven’t. I got a notice of shipment on the 30th of June, but it didn’t actually start going anywhere until yesterday. Middle of next eeek, maybe? Pretty irritated.

    • My shipment info was (allegedly) sent to FedEx on the 30th, but the package didn’t move until yesterday. Theoretically it will be here next Tuesday, the 14th. Ridiculous.

    • I still don’t have mine. They charge me extra because I’m out in Hawaii, but I think they pocket the extra cash rather than use it toward shipping. 🙁 It takes FOREVER to get my box. I signed up for the one year plan to have choices, but I plan to cancel once it’s finished because of shipping issues.

  10. I’m going to gift my necklace since I am allergic to fake/cheap jewelry. I looked at the website for Wrenn and there is not one other necklace that is over $42. I think they inflated the price significantly for the purpose of selling the box. This is my first box from them and I’m not impressed. I like the speaker and it will match my golf clubs but other than that and a few other items it is a bust for me. I am considering canceling my subscription but will give them one more month…

    • I just checked and the website u were prob looking at was not the right one. That one has a similar name ,(wrenn) and pretty jewelry for way cheaper but the right website, It’s wrenstudio. Com. They have clothing and our necklaces on there and they are listed as $100, which is more expensive than many if the clothing items. I agree that these necklaces are way over priced for being gold dipped.

    • Yes my perfume was everywhere too.

    • Mine was burst all over my box also. So the stuff that I would have traded I’m not able to trade because it’s now covered in Inkling perfume oil. This was my first FFF box and I’m extremely disappointed in the value of what I received.

I got the gold horseshow and I already have a horseshoe pendant I’ve had for years, so I wouldn’t mind possible swapping for rose gold… let me know if still available 🙂

  15. Did anyone else have an issue with the speaker? I got it to pair with my phone, but there is no sound coming out of it. the play/pause/fwd/back controls work fine, just no sound.

    • same problem until i realized volume was off on my phone! you control volume thru phone not the speaker itself

    • There is volume control on the speaker. You have to push the button toward plus for louder or minus for quieter, but you have to hold it until it reaches the volume you desire.

    • Hi, I have exactly the same problem as you described, were you able to figure out the problem? I tried suggestions from both @kay and @Yvonne, my phone has volume on, and I have been holding the “V+” button like forever, there is no sounds.

  17. Just got my box in and I totally love it ! I got the turquoise speaker, which was the one I wanted, my tarte lip gloss is in a really pretty sheer pinkish mauve color called exquisite that has a pretty purple mosaic outside. I couldn’t have ask for a better color, I was so worried I would get a dark color. I got the rose gold heart necklace, which I am hoping to trade for the gold horseshoe, I could use the luck ! The perfume smells so good, kinda musky but not too strong and its all oil, not a bit of alcohol smell. This is such a great box for the $40 I paid !

  18. I think this is one of the best Fab Fit boxes that have been sent out. I like that it has a variety of things. They sent out emails so you could customize your box to pick the necklace you wanted, the color gloss, and color of the speaker which I think was great. The necklace was really cute. Not sure what all the complaints are about.

  19. I received my box today. The price listed for the little charm necklace does seem high, but I got the rose gold moon and it’s so pretty. Love the perfume and the spray lotion – I will purchase both of those again. The other items will be gifted or swapped, but overall I liked this box.

  20. You know I’m like a lot of others in thinking this was a 14kt necklace! I’m SO disappointed! One of the reasons I got this box was because I was under the impression that it was a REAL 14kt gold necklace REALLY worth 100$!!! I agree with the others that I feel I was mislead about it TRULY being gold-dipped! Can someone tell me where it says it’s gold dipped besides this review?? And I’m sure everyone knows you can get a gold dipped necklace on EBAY or Ali express for under 5$! I think it’s BAD BUSINESS to inflate the price of that to 100$! That is a great big lie! I’m so done with FFF! I’ve been a subscriber for 2 yrs and frankly the winter 2014 is the best box I received but of course I had multiple billing issues! And I agree with a previous poster in that this box is missing something, like she said a skincare product or a snack item. FFF what a disappointment! I sure wonder if Mrs. Ranseck thinks a gold dipped necklace is worth 100$!!??!!

  21. I don’t get this box because in general I think it’s a pretty junky box with questionable business practices. I usually see one or two things from each box I like and just buy them individually. I love the gold or rose gold heart necklace and the perfume but I would never in a million years pay 100.00 for 14th gold dipped. That’s insane to claim such a high value.

  26. Just want to share my customer service experience. I emailed them last Friday to ask about shipping and they told me they were shipping out in batches and that’s why it was taking so long. I still don’t have a shipping email as of today so I emailed them back to request that they refund my money. They surprisingly refunded me and cancelled my account (I just signed up specifically for the Summer Box). Even got emails to state that my subscription was cancelled and then another receipt for the refund.

  27. Isn’t anyone else fuming that they advertised the wren necklace as 14kt gold and after sending the box it is revealed as ‘gold dipped’? First MSA had the spoiler listed as 24kt, then when images were released it said 14kt — an extremely dainty item being solid gold would be believable at an msrp of $100, but gold-dipped with no prior online comps having an msrp of $100 is a crock. I’d never gotten shipping details, so I immediately requested a cancellation before noon, and conveniently my box shipped today and the rep informed me that all sales are final, so even though they falsely advertised, they are trying to stick me. I got a shipping notice at 5pm – the package is not even in fedex’s hands, so they totally printed the label hours after I tried to cancel and could have stopped it. I told them I am going to dispute the charge, however I might be stuck, since this was under $50 (I used a discount code, and added the water bottle which they charged separately so even if I spent over $50, it didn’t book it that way). When I had the issue with the bottle, I emailed and cust svc called me and were efficient and polite, but not so flexible. However when I requested that they cancel my order due to the necklace being misadvertised, nobody called me, and I was shut down with a brisk oh well it shipped too late all sales are final – I replied and did not get a response, while last time I received 2 responses and 2 phone calls. So, BUYER BEWARE – they are shady. The website does not show account history, order info, receipts, status, nor is the total of the order shown to you before they charge it…you confirm on the first page the address details, and it completes and charges the order BEFORE you see the total amount to be charged! There is NOT a cancellation box, so you are stuck. On top of all that, all sales are FINAL, NO returns! These are very bad business practices – very shady, beware!

    • I told them I was going to dispute the charge, and I received a second response which was much better – conceding to permit a return of the box for a refund. I’m satisfied and do feel that both times their customer service was prompt and helpful. It’s unfortunate that they do not have order tracking and cancellation options available during the order process and thru my account – that would solve alot of the uneasiness I think people have with the cancellation issues.

      So sorry to hear of your disappointment. We’ve included that the necklace is 14kt Gold Dipped in all editorials we post, we’ve never listed it anywhere as solid gold and apologize for any misunderstanding.

      We would also never try to stick anyone with anything. If a shipping label was created at our warehouse we would have no way of stopping it from going out. once a label is created the package goes into a pile with thousands of others, it would be impossible to find and stop from shipping.

      We try to respond to all emails within 24 hours Mon-Fri we can also be reached Mon-Fri 10am-5:30pm PST at 855-313-6267. We’d greatly appreciate a call from you so that we can sort this out and come to a conclusion that leaves you happy. We are also sorry to hear of any trouble you’ve had with the website. There is a grand total on the checkout page you also get an immediate confirmation email with receipt after making your purchase and the cancel tab can be found upon logging into your account.

      • Originally the 1st response was bad– it basically said sorry no returns. For VIPs and newbies, every early spoiler stated 14kt necklace – nothing said gold-dipped (until the wren website & box shipment cards were put online) unless it was on FB or Twitter of which I do not subscribe. I could not locate much about the spoiler info on YOUR website. Shortly afterwards the people who got color choice invitiations (Annual and longterm VIP who were emailed by FFF) likely could see in details ‘dipped’ when they clicked on the color option. As a new VIP, that was not sent to me; I’d even tried to upgrade 6/18 to ANNUAL so I’d get a choice, but after I did it, CS told me I’d missed the deadline…even tho my box didn’t ‘ship’ for 13 more days. That deadline also wasn’t explained on your site, or I wouldn’t have upgraded. CS was helpful to re-set me back to VIP and cancel the Annual renewal. Yes, the site shows you the price of what you are ordering, but with most online purchases you confirm, and then it shows you any discount, shipping, etc and you confirm again or make changes; your site processes it on the first step and there’s no modification/cancellation of the charge/order (not talking about the subscription cancellation box in your account) and there is no order history to print from your account – more transparency would make people feel more secure and cause less errors. Other than that I found C.S to be fairly prompt and courteous. All is resolved now as I was given an exception to allow me to return the box. There should be more transparency and sales should NOT be final, but at least CS made the concession.

  28. My credit card was charged for the fabfitfun summer box on June 9. I am still waiting for shipping information. I did go to their website and send an email for an update on it so will see when it will hopefully shop. For me the boxes have been OK but nothing that really stands out. May cancel after I get this one.

    • I’m waiting too. Charged and not so much as a peep from them. I haven’t had any troubles with them so far and I generally love their boxes, but I’m getting a little cranky over here. I want my box.

    • July 1, I was furious that I, too, had paid June 9 but had no shipping information. I posted a complain on FFF’s Facebook page and almost immediately received a response that my box was going to be shipping out that day. Although I did appreciate the prompt response, I still find it ridiculous that it took nearly a month after I paid to have it shipped. Also, according to the FedEx website, they received shipping information at 7:49am in California – I posted the complaint at 10:06am in Ohio, or 7:06am in California. Pretty sure they didn’t even ship it until AFTER I complained on Facebook.

      I’m not sure what to make of the 14k gold issue – I found a 14k gold-dipped necklace, with Swarovski crystals, for only $60. Really, FFF, $100? I just don’t know if I truly believe that value.

      I’m also really annoyed that they’re advertising a 4th of July sale on their boxes, but those of us who paid a month ago haven’t even received ours yet?

      I’ve been tempted to cancel this box for a while now – I was not impressed the the last 2 I received. I still haven’t even received this one yet – I’m going to have to be totally WOWED when I receive it to keep subscribing after this month’s catastrophe.

  29. Once again another FFF supposed shipping month has come and gone and no shipment so far for many. I read on FB that they’re claiming the multiple subscriber choices caused a packing delay and resulted in the non-annual subs being even further delayed. My problem with that is they knew when they offered that many choices it would require a lengthier packing process yet they failed to properly plan for it. I’m taking a break from FFF after this one, if it ever arrives (my last box required me to email them 3x and call twice before I finally got them to ship, a full month after everyone had received theirs; I purchased it and all boxes as a part of a recurring sub that’s existed for 2 full years, so I pay on day one the boxes are available). I’m tired of having to chase down this box. It takes way too much effort and time, the latter of which is always in short supply. I’m still highly irritated that they billed my mom 3 months after her account was cancelled (as they’ve done to me in the past more than once). I had to send them their own confirmation email to prove it (learned to save those emails for exactly this reason). Even the account page also showed it was closed as of 3 months prior. A CS rep admitted, when I persisted in questioning how to stop this beyond cancelling the account well in advance, that they just bill all cards on file. I hope that was just an I’ll informed rep but in an abundance of caution I’ve asked that my card information be deleted. I suspect they won’t honor my request or more likely will outright ignore my message. I especially loathed being lied to on the phone and told they didn’t charge my mom’s account (which I maintain) when they had billed her 10 days before I even called. It’s not a complicated question – did you bill or not? When they say “the account was not billed this quarter because it’s cancelled” I assume they mean it. Now I assume they have no clue or the alternative, that their reps just say whatever will get callers off the line fastest. Seriously, I can’t be done with this sub fast enough.

  33. This is my second box and I love it! Got my shipping code a few days ago and can’t wait. I don’t own a speaker but have been meaning to get one, love all the necklaces, perfume, and am excited to try the hair treatment spray. Not so excited about the lip gloss or moisturizer but they’ll get used or gifted. A great deal for $50 IMO.

  34. I don’t get this one and why everyone seems so excited for it…I already have a version of the stuff in it and am surprised other people also don’t I guess. I think I have two wireless speakers actually (they’re quite an inexpensive item really) and people practically throw jump ropes at you when you buy fitness things. Getting a Konjac sponge in my Julep box and I have so much lip gloss I could die. Also, at the chance of getting a heart charm necklace, I squirmed from the youthful cheesiness a bit. haha Guess I just wanted to sprinkle in a negative voice with these reviews. lol But I’m glad I didn’t sign up again, and so is my wallet…that poor, poor, wallet of mine…never the same since MSA. haha

    • I don’t understand it either, I got a jump rope last year from PS, lip glosses in tons of subs, speakers from a Fancy box last year, sponges from Eco Emi and another sub a few months ago. I don’t like gold jewelry and don’t understand the purpose of spray lotion. Why do you want it to spray? FFF sends out a lot of things I already have, nothing is new and exciting.

    • I totally agree. Similar speakers are $10 at Target, and you can get a similar necklace for a couple of bucks at Ali Express. I really hate it when boxes include cheap jewelry and then ascribe ridiculous value to it in order to make it seem like they’re a better deal. A $100 necklace that size should be 14K gold, not “gold dipped”.

  35. After the horrible Spring box, I was hoping for a great Summer box, and I hope this is it! However, this is the 3rd subscription box that I’ve gotten nail decals in. What’s up with that? I am excited to get the spray on Vaseline moisturizer which I’ve been thinking about buying. I think I may like this box and FFF may have just saved a customer….

  38. I had been looking to buy a spray like this because I havent owned one and forgotten about it with the complete spoilers. I love Tarte so I am happy about that too. I wish there was one good skincare item in the box. Excited about the hair stuff too and necklace although I prefer silver. The speaker is a neat item as well and konjac sponge. I feel like there is something missing like a healthy snack and one good skincare item. But I am pleased; mine shipped yesterday and I am excited.

    I use the Vaseline lotion already (although not that scent) and I am a big fan.

  45. This looks like an awesome box. I’m so excited to get mine, and glad I signed up for an annual so I know my variations. I do wish they would send annual subscribers their boxes first, along with bloggers, etc, but hopefully I’ll get my box this week so it won’t be too much later.

  50. That box seemed like it shipped super fast. I don’t miss this box at all, won’t subscribe ever again either with all the hassle it took trying to cancel it. But there are a bunch of items in the box this season.

    • This looks like a great box but after reading the comments from people who had difficulties cancelling, I just can’t take the plunge and order

      • I had to cancel one time. Money was tight. I called and cancelled. Then I was charged for a full year. I called them back and they fixed it right away. Within minutes.

      • I have been receiving this box for two years. I have never had an issue w service. CS was great when the delivery guy dropped my box at the wrong place. I just go in expecting to pay at the beginning of the shipment month and receive about a month later.
