ToGoSpa Society Subscription Box Review – May 2015

ToGoSpa Society Subscription Box Review - May 2015 - box

The ToGoSpa Society is a subscription box from ToGoSpa. You may have seen some of their under eye gels in other boxes in the past couple of months (MizzFit, Bare Bliss Box, and POPSUGAR, for example). But they offer their own subscription service, as well. (By the way, ToGoSpa Society ships in plain brown cardboard boxes so I didn’t take a picture of the outside.)

ToGoSpa sent us this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: ToGoSpa Society

The Cost: $40, $65, $90, or $114, depending on the options you choose. This is a review of the $40 box.

COUPON: Use code mysubscriptionaddiction to save 10% off your first month of membership (no expiration date).

The Products: Under-eye gels, gel face masks (with some package options), and additional spa products.

Ships to: Worldwide. Free shipping in the U.S., $5.99 everywhere else.

ToGoSpa Society Subscription Box Review - May 2015 - infocard

Rather than having a theme, ToGoSpa focuses on replenishing your supply of their EYES gels, along with one Benefit. Because a lot of the contents are the same each month, you don’t get a standard information card. Instead, you get a printout telling you more about the Benefit, which is a full-size, spa quality item valued at $20-50.

ToGoSpa Society Subscription Box Review - May 2015 - kosmatology

Kosmatology Mint Your Feet Foot Balm (2.5 oz.)– Value $11.49

Kosmatology Mint Your Feet Mineral Salt Food Scrub (5.5 oz.) – Value $14.99

I’ve seen Kosmatology products in a few other boxes, but I hadn’t tried these particular ones before. My feet can use a lot of work, especially in sandal season, though, so I was happy to see these.

I really liked the minty fragrance of both products. The scrub is mostly salt and very low-liquid, which is great (you get more uses out of it that way) and the foot balm is in an applicator like a lip balm (only much larger). I can’t tell a huge difference after one use, but I think that with time, my feet will be looking better.

ToGoSpa Society Subscription Box Review - May 2015 - eyes

Refreshing Ice Water EYES Gels (1 pack of 3 pairs) – Value $12.50

Rejuvenating Green Tea EYES Gels (2 packs of 3 pairs each) – Value $25 ($12.50 each)

Replenishing Coconut EYES Gels (2 packs of 3 pairs each) – Value $25 ($12.50 each)

When you sign up, you can choose to receive only one type of EYES gel or you can select “variety” and get a mixture. This was the variety pack. I can’t tell a huge difference among the types other than a faint fragrance with the coconut ones. I think they’re all pretty soothing and I’ve been using them in the mornings after nights where I don’t get enough sleep (to reduce puffiness).

Verdict: This was another great box for me. It has a value of about $89 if you count full retail prices, or $81.50 if you count the price of the EYES based on a discount from ToGoSpa if you purchase 5 or more packs of EYES. I think it’s a pretty good value for the $40 cost.

It is a little bit daunting to think about using 15 pairs of EYES gels a month, though (I didn’t finish all mine last month but I am going to make a stronger effort this time). If you have tried EYES gels before and love them, this is definitely an economical way to ensure a constant supply (one of the more expensive packages offers 30 pairs). If you just want to buy one package of EYES to try out before subscribing, you can do that through ToGoSpa’s online shop.

What do you think of the May 2015 ToGoSpa Society box? Are you a fan of the EYES gels?

  1. How do you get them to stay on? I am serious. I wore them just sitting there working on my computer and they kept sliding down repeatedly every time I tried. I wish there was a way to have this not happen.

  2. I really don’t like these eye gels. I got them from Pop Sugar a couple on month’s ago. The best eye gels are available from birchbox and the name is Ice Eyes or something like that. They actually stay in place. The ones from this company and just a slimy and slipper gooey thing.

    • I’ve had the same results with ToGoSpa eye gels as you mentioned here, though I admit I have only tried the Ice Water version.

My favorite eye gels are the Medicell Labs Advanced Moisture Eye Mask Duo that I discovered in a DermStore Mystery Grab Bag early this year. Amazing! They totally work and I didn’t want to take them off! 5 star reviews on the DermStore website.

      • I do have a little trouble getting these to stay in place. Unless I lie down or sit really still.

I do not notice much difference between Green Tea, Ice Water, and Coconut in terms of slipping.

  3. Thanks for review, I have some eye gels I need to use from other boxes.
