  1. Received an email from Golden Tote tonight saying that the May Golden Tote will relaunch tomorrow [Thursday], May 14th at 9 am Pacific.

    The first 3,000 May shipments will receive a piece of jewelry from Jules Smith Designs to say thanks for hanging in there through all their website issues.

    Hopefully it will be working tomorrow!

  2. We send GT a clear message every time a purchase is made that we are willing to put up w/ these ongoing issues…

    I’m one of the few not part of the fb trading group, just curious if the frustrations are the same on there…or are the posts being removed (like normal). I’m OVER Golden Tote…it’s been 3 months of website issues on launch day (including out of stock items – of the most popular it seems, followed by restocking days later – of those same items), horrible customer service & it takes almost a month to get your tote (3 wks, 3 days WITH expedited shipping).

    Also should mention the quality of my last tote was very poor and looked like it had been put together by a stylist who was in a hurry to fill an order (paying no attention to my style profile).

    I’ve always been a diehard Golden Tote girl…I’ve praised them on here & other blogs, adored all my many totes & worn my clothes with love. Think it’s time to switch to Stitch Fix or Style Edit!

  3. It’s almost been 24 hours and I still haven’t been able to select my tote or even get on the website. This is such a crappy situation for me since I finally rounded up the money for the $149 tote. Ugh oh well I’m not even gonna try for golden tote anymore

  4. Maybe this is a good thing for me, I’ve already subscribed to enough things this weekend and I wasn’t really seeing anything that I needed in the spoilers.

  5. I am fairly new to Golden Tote. I have only ordered off of the updated website. Was this ever an issue prior to them making all the changes?

    • Lori – Wanted to give you some personal opinion/feedback on your question. This has been an issue for at least a year & a half (that I’ve been a customer). And it’s way past time to have figured it out. They promised for months that the new website (supposed to have launched last Oct but delayed until earlier this year) was going to fix all the woes. A few of the irritations seem to have been fixed (items selling out from within your cart, getting all the way through process before finding out an item is sold out, etc). But they have four major issues that consistently plague them: 1) lack of servers/server space/memory to allow their site to work properly on tote day, 2) lack of consistent & reasonable turnaround for customer service, 3) lack of reasonable ship times & 4) inconsistent inventory. By #4 I’m referring to items being restocked an hour or two or four into tote day, so if you tried to order at launch & your chosen was sold out, you settle for your second choice, then find out your first chosen was restocked an hour later. I understand when they contact a supplier & restock again the next day, but seems like there’s also an inventory issue at play on the day of (which could also be another website issue). I was a huge GT fan & consistently bought multiple totes each month until I just couldn’t take it any more. The joy of receiving the tote is no longer outweighing the issues. I’m sincerely pulling for them to get real (business) management into their organization (Marcus Lemonis can you hear me?! Haha). Then they can fix the little issues that plague them & allow the Sarahs to do what they do best, which is fun fashion!

  6. Of course, the second they send out the email, everyone will go to the site and it will crash again. I haven’t wanted a goldentote in months, but now I need it!!

    • That’s why I’m not trusting email… I’ve still got the page up and hit refresh every time I walk by, LOL.

  7. I’m going to boycott GT until they get their site issues worked out…I can overlook a lot (even running out of items for the totes), having scheduled maintenance on launch day seems borderline unacceptable.

  8. Now it’s saying “We are sorry for the site issues. Please check your email for an update from us when we are ready.”

  9. I’m still stalking the gt website and got an error saying they are ‘undergoing scheduled maintenance’. On tote day they have scheduled maintenance?!?

    • Maybe a boycott of GT until they get their site together is in order???

  10. When I decided to buy a tote, I could not load the page… It sounds this has been a persistent issue.

    • I’ve been trying for an hour now and can’t get past the page where I picked which tote I wanted.

    • It’s now saying they are ‘undergoing a scheduled maintenance, please try again in a few minutes’… exactly who has a scheduled maintenance on opening day?

  11. I’m honestly so frustrated by Golden Tote. This happens every month… how have they still not figured it out? I’m having Memebox flashbacks…

  13. I’ve been trying since 12 to get on, the site will occasionally load and I’ll get to the tote page, but once I select a tote, I can’t get any further. So frustrating!

  14. think I’m going to wait until the weekend and see if they restock…the site is already crashing.

    • Yeah, sites not working. I’m only going to wait a couple of hours…last month, I really wanted the tan maxi and it was sold out by the time I got on…then 30 mins later it was RESTOCKED ugh.

  15. Annoying – tote page won’t even load.

    • I get to the tote page and then it doesn’t move…I was so hopeful they would have all the kinks worked out by now. Traffic is always going to be super heavy on launch day, I’m not tech savvy but it seems their server can’t handle the amount of people. By waiting it out, I usually end up forgetting to go back and order.
