glamorganic-may-2015-box

The Glamorganic Goddess Beauty Kit is a one-time only kit containing products from Acure Organics.  All the proceeds from the box go towards the GoFundMe campaign for The Glamorganic Goddess, Danielle Messina.  Danielle is only 37 years old and undergoing breast cancer treatment for the second time.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Box: Glamorganic Goddess Beauty Kit

The Cost: $19.99

The Products: Full size and deluxe samples of clean beauty products from Acure Organics.

Ships to: US (free) and some other countries.  Create an account on the Acure  Organics website and input your address to see whether or not they ship to your country.

Check out the Beauty Subscription Box Directory for more great natural beauty deals!

Acure Organics products are natural, fair trade, and organic, and are made with plant-based ingredients.  The company has a focus on sustainability with respect to recyclable materials, packaging, etc.  I’ve tried some of their products through subscription boxes in the past, but almost everything here looked new to me.

There wasn’t an information card in this box, but according to the order page, contents may vary based on availability.

Note: I didn’t take as many pictures as usual because I wanted to get this finished and posted while the kit was still available for purchase.

glamorganic-may-2015-toner

Acure Organics Balancing Rose and Red Tea Facial Toner (full size!) – Value $9.99

This is a non-drying, alcohol-free toner.  It’s got a really simple ingredients list and you can definitely smell the red tea.  I use toner every day and I don’t get it as often as I’d like in boxes.  It’s one of those few things I actually still have to buy on my own, so I am definitely happy to have this.

Acure Organics Lip Lush in Birthday Suit (full size!) – Value $7.99

I have one of these in another color from Birchbox (I think).  I like the formula a lot.  I tried to swatch this but it didn’t really show up on my skin.  I think it will be really nice to help moisturize on top of lip stains.

Acure Organics Moroccan Argan Oil Treatment (full size!) – Value $12.99

My skin does not agree with oils as moisturizers (believe me, I’ve tried), but this has a lot of other applications (massage oil, cuticle oil, soothing dry elbows and heels).  I happen to really like argan oil for hair and this one gives me a nice shine, so that’s probably mostly how I’ll end up using it.

glamorganic-may-2015-towelettes

Acure Organics Argan Oil Cleansing Towelettes (full size!) – Value $5

I always need new wipes and towelettes so I am happy to see these.  I am thinking the oils in these (olive, argan, grapeseed) will be good at taking off waterproof makeup.  Also, these are vegan and free of sulfates, parabens, gluten, phthalates, silicones, and petroleum derivatives.  Plus they’re biodegradable!

Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub (sample, 0.1 oz?) – Value $0.25

Acure Organics Facial Cleansing Gel (sample, 0.1 oz?) – Value $0.25

Acure Organics Facial Night Cream (sample, 0.1 oz?) – Value $1

I haven’t opened these samples yet.  I’m getting ready to move so I’m collecting samples and foils to put in a small overnight bag.  Then I won’t have to worry about finding and unpacking my massive skincare stash right away.  These will be perfect for that.

I’m estimating all the sample sizes because the packets didn’t say.  Also, I’m not sure if the cleanser I linked to is the right product – the listing says “combo to oily skin” and the sample packet says “normal to oily skin.”  But it’s the closest thing I could find on the site.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $37.50 for this box.  That’s a great value in and of itself, but the proceeds are also going to a good cause.  I’ve been a fan of the Acure Organics brand for awhile now, and I’m happy to have had a chance to try a lot more of their products.

What did you think of the Glamorganic Goddess Beauty Kit?  Were you able to get one?

My box arrived today by UPS. Everything is the same except I received the dark chocolate mint balm instead of the lip lush.

This may be the best box I ever got! I like everything in it, which is unheard of. I always wind up swapping at least one or two items.

Is anyone else having shipping issues? Mine has been in processing for 2 weeks now and they still haven’t shipped it. I’ve e-mailed them twice and been told both time “it’s on backorder, but we’ll ship it to you in 1-2 business days”

The box is back in stock. Acure sent me a very nice email apologizing for the back order and then upgraded my shipping to next day air. Kudos to them for their customer service! And the products in the box are all great quality. I’m loving the chocolate mint lip balm I received, who knew?!

Took a long time to get mine as well. It just came yesterday and I ordered it on May 25. They shipped it to me next day air though.

I ordered as soon as I saw this review. It took a week for it to ship out. Scheduled for delivery today….they shipped it UPS 2nd day air. So once it’s shipped it should arrive quickly.

My order is stuck in processing too. I’m patiently waiting because it’s a good cause box. 🙂

Same for me, I ordered on May 25 and it still shows as ‘processing’. I’m being patient since its for such a good cause, but hoping to get shipping info soon!

They must be out of stock on one or more items. When I purchased this, I received it in two or three days. It’s worth the wait, I promise you!

Ragan, thank you for the timely review. I think Liz likes this company as well. I have been wanting to try their products, so it is a good way to sample. I have never tried Argan oil, so let’s see. Plus the proceeds to go to a charity. Win win!

Yep – love this company and their products! 🙂

“massive skincare stash” LOL

It’s taking over my bathroom. And my bedroom. And my closet. And sometimes the living room if I’m not good about putting things away.

I received all of the same products in my box. I love Acure products and their brightening facial scrub is my favorite. It’s a bit weird the first time you use it (it’s green!), but don’t let that detract you from the product.

I think all their algae products are like that. I have a face mask of theirs from another box and the directions say something like: “put it all over your face until you look like a sea monster.”

does anyone know how long you will be able to order one of these???? i would love to get one but won’t be able to till the end of the week…

Still for sale today – I’m going to end up getting it.

PA Anna

I received the same as Ragan. It’s a wonderful box. I may order a second one if it is still available in a few weeks.

Andi

I got the same items as you with the exception of the Lip Lush – I received a lip balm in chocolate mint instead. I have enjoyed all of the Acure products I’ve purchased in the past, and look forward to sampling these as well. The argan oil smells fabulous, too!

PA Anna

Chocolate Mint? That must smells wonderful.

Andi

Anna, it does smell wonderful! Although I have so many lip balms that I have yet to use, I probably would have preferred a Lip Lush instead. LOL

Ann

I ordered this back when it was posted on here. I’m so excited to get mine seeing the products you got! I hope I got similar ones (especially the toner and wipes)!

Nanners

Aww, my box never came with a Lip Lush :'( a little disappointed but it’s not a big deal since everything else, especially the toner, was awesome and luxurious.

Debra

I ordered one also, thanks for the review!

I BOUGHT ONE! I wasn’t too worried about the items within as I bought this because the proceeds go to a pink sister! I am a BC patient and have been for the last 6 years. Us pink sisters have to help and support one another!

I’m getting this too, no brainer for me as well. All of us are touched by this horrible disease in one way or another, my prayers are with you and all going through this.

Thank you Lisad!

The facial cleanser sample smells so good! I wish it was bigger 🙂

I also enjoyed the toner and the argan oil.
