DOTTIE BOX MAY 2015 - info

Each box comes with an informational card detailing the featured items.

DOTTIE BOX MAY 2015 - items 1

Modern Typography Recipe Cards – set of 5, value: $6

I don’t personally use recipe cards, so these will probably be swapped! I love the design on these, though.

Sugarbox Sundries Lollipops in Strawberry Banana and Strawberry Rose – value: $4

These lollipops definitely intrigued me when I saw them in the box. They’re pretty big (maybe 2 inches in diameter?), and look lovely. My husband tried the strawberry banana flavor and loved it. I’m looking forward to trying the strawberry rose!

DOTTIE BOX MAY 2015 - items 2

Lilian Eve Nail Polish in “Sweet Dreams” – .5 fl oz (full size), value: $12

I love that Lilian Eve’s polishes are 5-free and vegan. I’ve also noticed that I’ve recently become obsessed with pastels this season, so I’m happy to have this shade! It’s a pretty, pastel, creamy-peach.

Tag Your “It” Hand-Stamped “Hope” Necklace – value: $18

This is a cute necklace! I like hand-stamped jewelry a lot. If I don’t end up keeping it for myself, it will definitely make a cute gift.

DOTTIE BOX MAY 2015 - items 3

Here’s a photo of the nail polish (it’s less similar to my skin color in reality than the photo shows). It took me 3 coats to get it to this opacity, and it’s still not quite as opaque as I prefer. Still, I loved how quickly the formula dried and it’s a great color for summer.

Verdict: I liked this DottieBox and I’ll use almost everything in it. The value adds up to $40, which I’m happy with for the $26 (shipped) cost.

What do you think about the May DottieBox?

So exciting to see my recipe cards on your site! Odd, your box only had 5 recipe cards in it, there are supposed to be 8! My guess is they were stuck together (happens all the time). Thanks for the showcase, love your website! I’m a bit of an addict myself 🙂

It would be nice to see the nail polish photo that accidentally didn’t post. But I would like to point out that readers requested examples of the products in use to see the colors better, and different reviewers on this site started doing that, even if this one didn’t make it up. That shows mysubscriptionaddiction is listening to your readers, which is pretty awesome! I find this particular box to not be what I’m wanting to get in boxes, but the review does help me know that. Thanks!

Thanks Rachel! 🙂 I just uploaded the photo so you can see the nail polish now.

As always – feedback on how to make the site more helpful is so appreciated!

Hey! where’s your nail polish photo?

Also, I wonder if that company is using “your it” instead of “you’re it” on purpose? Hmm.

Oops – sorry my mistake on uploading the photo. Fixed!:)

Thanks, Liz!

It reminds me of that BB Nail Polish that we got in the Fab Fit Fun box (at least, I think it was that box).

HH

I read it like “tag your thing, your stuff, your ‘it’.”

Hey– I like yours! They need to hire you to be their marketing person! 🙂

Dashy

Ah, I guess this explains it:

“I created Tag Your “It” out of my love for animals, and the need to properly identify them, which is where the “It” came from.”

Cool.

I wouldn’t think that someone who loves animals would call them “its,” though…
