Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Unpacked

Here’s a photo of everything unpacked from the box. It really is a lot of candy!

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Belts

Sour Power Strawberry Belts

My husband LOVES sour belts, and he insists that these are the “good kind.” They’re very long and delightfully tart.  Candy Club sends sour candy in almost every shipment, which is definitely something to consider if you’re thinking about subscribing. Luckily, I’m a fan of sour candy. The more mouth-puckering the better, as far as I’m concerned!

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Watermellon

Vidal Watermelon Slices

These watermelon slices are a new candy discovery for me, and I like them a lot. They’re fruity gummies that Candy Club describes as being coated in sugar, but there’s definitely some sour powder in the coating, too.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Chews

Primrose Fruit Chews

These individually wrapped fruity chews come in the following flavors: green apple, strawberry, grape, banana, and orange. They taste similar to salt water taffy, and I’m a big fan of the green apple flavor.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 IBC

IBC Root Beer Barrels

I love root beer, and these candies taste just like the real thing!

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Frittle

Newfangled Confections Original Frittle

Candy Club usually features one item in each box from a smaller dessert producer. Newfangled Confections specializes in “updated Grandma candies.” Frittle is a crumbly, peanut-flavored candy that reminds me of Butterfinger filling.

Verdict: I really like Candy Club. They candy they send is always very fresh (never dried out), and I like that there’s usually at least one candy in the box that’s new to me. I think their packaging is well designed, and I love their signature plastic and tin containers. This month’s box was a big hit with my family, and we loved the Frittle, Sour Belts, Watermelon, and Root Beer Barrels! In terms of value, Candy Club claims that each box will have a retail value of $60. I struggle a little bit with that because, while similar pricing is typical at high-end candy stores like Dylan’s Candy Bar, you can definitely purchase the same candy for a lot less if you buy it in bulk online. Still, I think Candy Club’s packaging and candy selection add a lot of value, and I think this subscription is a fun indulgence and a great gift.

What did you think of Candy Club?

Received this box today. It is our second box from Candy Club.
Really love the watermelon slices which is crazy as I am not a fan of watermelon candy at all. My youngest loves the fruit chews which I think taste just like softer version of Now and Laters. My oldest has claimed the strawberry belts. He loves all things strawberry and all things sour so this was perfect for him. The IBC barrels were a neat surprise and my mother really likes them. The Frittle on the other hand is AMAZING!
