Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – April 2015 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – April 2015 Weleda

Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion – .68 oz Value $1.65

This lotion has a nice lightweight formula. I received so many Weleda lotion samples in boxes in the last year that I’m not excited about this item, but I’ll use it!

Sally B’s Skin Yummies Tamanu Luxury Organic Facial Cleanser – 1 oz Value $6.50

This cleanser is oil based so it doesn’t work into too much of a later. The oil makes it good for removing makeup too, and I like the natural/organic scent. Plus the formula feels very gentle on the skin.

Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – April 2015 Ash

Smart Ash All Natural Teeth Whitener + Detoxifier – Sample Value ?

I’m not sure of the size of this sample, or how it compares to the full-size version (they don’t list the size of the full-size jar on their site), so I don’t how to estimate value on this one. This powder is meant to replace toothpaste and also provide whitening benefits. I haven’t tried it yet since I want to find a complete ingredient list on their site. (They list the main beneficial ingredients, but I’m not sure if that’s all that is in the product).

Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – April 2015 Soap

Sapothecary Lavender with Flowers Soap – Sample value $2?

This is my favorite new discovery in the box – I absolutely love the scent!

Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – April 2015 Addiction

Au Naturale Cream Eye Shadow Stick in Addiction – Value $10?

This is actually the shade we created for the MSA02 Quarterly box! It’s an antique gold eye shadow creme, and of course I’m happy to have more of it!

Verdict: Based on my estimates this box has a value of about $22. That’s not that great for a $20 beauty box. I love discovering new natural beauty brands, and I really want Bare Bliss Box to succeed, but I hope they start having higher value boxes soon. (And maybe a few more full size products).

What do you think of the April Bare Bliss Box?

  1. I still haven’t received my April box. Has anyone else had this issue? I emailed customer service but haven’t received a reply. Thanks

    • Please disregard about not receiving box, I found out that there was an issue with the post office. I picked up my box and was impressed because Bare Bliss added the Misoves Face Oil that I missed out on last month in my Gilt City Box (I sent them an email about my disappointment of receiving different brands than regular subscribers). Also, this is the first box I received the same products as Liz. Bare Bliss is definitely making up for my original issues with the subscription. Can’t wait to see what is in next months box. I really want this subscription to succeed!

  2. Babeboxx is a newish box focusing on natural/organic beauty products. Just got my box today and it is pretty good – luminizer, mascara (good but meh), body scrub and face oil. Value around $60, think I paid around $30 for the box?

  3. Is that the same Weleda item that was in the November box? How exciting to see the MSA shade again in a box. I love the Bare Bliss Facebook page. Maybe, one day, I will resubscribe.

  4. This was my first Bare Bliss Box and sad to say it but May will probably be my last box from them (only because I was already charged before I could cancel). I was really interested in this sub after seeing reviews for the March box, but this box was a disappointment.

  5. I won’t be renewing after my 6-month Gilt City deal is up either. The value just isn’t there. Right now, the only thing this sub is really good for is the box it comes in. It’s nice and sturdy, and is great for reusing to ship out swaps!

  6. I would LOVE to try the Smart Ash! Hope it goes up for swap! 😉

  7. I bought the 6-month Gilt City deal, so this was my 3rd box. For me, the boxes end up being $9.75 each. I’m happy with that value. However, I won’t be renewing my subscription after July at full price as I don’t feel it’s worth $20/mo. I’ve been “fine” with the three boxes I’ve received so far, but nothing has hit it out of the park with me yet. Again though, definitely worth the $9.75/box for which I’m getting them!

  8. I am all about natural/organic beauty products and there aren’t many sub boxes catering to that market, so I really wanted Bare Bliss to do well. I’m bummed to see this month’s box is just ok. I signed up for the first box and was initially very happy, but then felt a little let down with each successive box. I didn’t renew once my plan was up but hoped the curation would start to impress me so that I would want to rejoin. I would probably use a couple things from this month’s (like the eyeshadow – I love au naturale!) but nothing that would be worth the price of the box. Also, I believe I received the same Weleda cream sample in a previous box.

I wish one of the natural/organic sub boxes would focus more on makeup. I’d really like a sub where I knew for sure I’d be getting makeup each month, and not cleansers, lotions, shampoo, or other body related beauty products. I have a lot of that stuff already, plus I would love to sample and discover new all natural makeup brands.

  9. The Smart Ash is messy, yes. And it’s weird using black stuff to clean your teeth. But wow, does it work! This discovery is worth the price of the box for me. I’ve used it three days in a row and there is a visible difference and my teeth feel great. Today I used regular toothpaste, because I missed the minty taste. You can combine the two, though. But I will say, the charcoal neutralizes any gross morning taste and just leaves your mouth tasting like clean mouth. 😀

  10. This sub looked promising when it came out. When I see items like this in a box, reminds me more so why I sub to Petit Vour, Goodbox and resubbing to Vegan Cuts next week. – Consistency is so important …. I like some times being bored with a box, boredom means its consistent, means I’m still subscribing. – Tacky that they have the same shade created for MSA in their box. The teeth whitener looks messy. – This box will have to get more creative and have more value for me to want to subscribe.

  11. I have subscribed since box #1 and I have 1 month left on a 3 month sub. I paid $39 for 3 months. I am very disappointed in this month’s box and have decided to cancel after May, my last box. This is the second time they send out teeth whitening items. The black powder stained my white marble vanity and wash basin. I had to use Brillo to scrub it off. It is almost impossible to get it on your tooth brush, plus If I want my teeth whitened, I would buy crest white strips. $13 is not much, but constantly these unusable samples is of no value to me. On top of that, the pomegranate lotion is a repeat item in recent months. So I am done with this sub.

  12. This box was a bust for me. I’m glad I tried it with the deal, but the value isn’t there and I’m underwhelmed with it repeatedly. I’d rather extend my Kloverbox subscription (which I get now) when this one ends.

  13. Hi Liz,
Not sure where to put this, but Julep is having a Cinco de Mayo sale, with a lot of polishes for 5$ (in New Arrivals section.)
