Each box from 30 Days of Candy has its own theme. This month’s theme is “around the world in 30 sweets!” Each candy pack in this box features sweets from a different country.
Since this box includes 30 different packs (a lot!), I’ve selected a few packs to feature at the start of the review, but have included a full list of countries & snacks at the bottom of the review.
Japan- Green Tea Kit Kat
This might be my favorite candy discovery in the entire box! I love Kit Kats! And Green Tea! Also, I was surprised to discover that these Kit Kats are Amazon’s #1 bestseller in the category of Candy & Chocolate Bars. Here’s hoping they make it stateside soon!
Germany- Hirsch Fruit Basket
I decided to feature these candies from Germany because I love the beautiful country scene featured on the wrapping. They’re unlike anything I’ve seen before (and tasty too)!
Each packet of candy contains a card that provides information about the sweet, as well as a quote from the featured country. I think this is such a nice addition! This packet features one of my favorite quotes:
Another favorite is this old Norwegian saying: “A small but excellent party, said the man, drinking alone.” How delightfully offbeat!
Russia- Mishka Kosolapy
The name of this candy, Mishka Kosolapy, means “clumsy bear,” which I think is so cute! These candies have an almond praline center and are covered in dark chocolate. Each packet has calorie information listed, which is a really nice touch. I can definitely see how having small pre-portioned packs of candy can help prevent overindulgence.
Austria- Pez with BONUS Donald Duck Dispenser
Pez isn’t a new candy to me, of course, but I had no idea it was Austrian! I also love that they included a bonus dispenser.
Here’s a list of the other 23 mini-packs:
Argentina- Arcor Fruit Taffies
Belgium- Napoleon Bon Bons
Canada- Sixlets
China- White Rabbit
Colombia- Colombina Fussione Caramel
England- Walkers Nonsuch English Creamy Toffees
Finland- Fazer Marianne Chocolate Filled Mint Candies
France- Maison Pecou Jordan Almonds
Hong Kong- Lucky Candy
Indonesia- Milkita
Ireland- Jelly Bean Factory Jelly Beans
Italy- Perugina Sorrento Spicchi Hard Candies
Malaysia- Okio Fruit Gummies
Morocco- Fresch Chewy Dragees
Netherlands- Van Melle Advocaat Toffees
Norway- Licorice Caramels
Poland- Krowki Cream Fudge
Singapore- Meiji Hello Panda
South Korea- Fruit Flavored Hard Candies from The Daylight Confectionery Company
Sweden- Daim
Switzerland- Milka Milkinis
Taiwan- Hi-Chew
Thailand- Kopiko Coffee Candy
Turkey- Haribo Minis
Ukraine- Roshen Jelly Candy
USA- Bit-O-Honey
Verdict: I love this month’s theme from 30 Days of Candy, and I think the selection of candy is diverse and delicious. I often like to eat a few pieces of candy at night after dinner, and I think these pre-portioned packs will help ensure I don’t overdo it. I also like that each baggie includes a card with information about both the candy and the country it’s from. In terms of value, the cost breaks down to $1.20 per pack. I think this is a really fun concept for a candy box, and I’m looking forward to exploring candy from around the world over the next 30 days (if the candy lasts that long)!
